Kristen Stewart In Crimson Red At 2011 Met Costume Gala

Kristen Stewart was among the many celebs who came out to the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featuring an exhibit Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty which honored the late designer’s body of work.

The Twilight Saga star chose a lovely blood red Proenza Schouler dress with black embroidery for the event. The frock had a high slit up the leg and an openwork back, showing some skin, to balance the pattern of the dress.

Emma Stone At 2011 Costume Gala

Emma Stone walked the red carpet for the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday, May 2nd.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured an exhibit, the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty retrospective, which honored the late designer’s body of work.

The Amazing Spider-Man star wore a strapless column dress of printed black, white and shades of gray floral from Lanvin. Stone was one of the only celebs to opt for a print. Very modern – love it!

She had her hair pulled back in a messy up-swept do and wore the hot shade of bright pink lip color for the event.

Sarah Burton Appears At ‘Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty’ Preview

Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton is the fashion world’s woman of the hour following the debut of the gorgeous wedding gown she designed for Kate Middleton.    She was in New York this morning to talk to the press at a preview of “Alexander McQueen:  Savage Beauty,” the much-anticipated retrospective honoring British designer.  The exhibition opens at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on Wednesday, May 4.   Burton called the retrospective “a fitting honor” to the late McQueen.  She said:

“When I walked into the exhibit, I thought of Lee [McQueen's first name] …the passion, the inspiration.”

Stella McCartney, who also trained with Alexander McQueen, also spoke.

Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony At 2011 Costume Gala

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony stepped out to the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday, May 2nd.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured an exhibit, the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty retrospective, which honored the late designer’s body of work.

The American Idol judge was fiery hot in a brilliant fuschia pink halter dress from Gucci. A ruffled shrug and peek-a-boo keyhole in the bodice flashed some of Lopez’ famously hot body.

She kept her hair pulled back in a bun to counter all the detailing of the top of the dress.

Dakota Fanning At 2011 Met Gala

Dakota Fanning turned out for the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday, May 2nd.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured an exhibit, the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty retrospective, which honored the late designer’s body of work.

Fanning, 17, opted for a pale sand colored ballgown from Valentino with a variety of different flowers appliqued to the bodice and skirt and lots of fluffy tulle for a ballerina feel.

Lea Michele & Gwyneth Paltrow At 2011 Met Gala

Gwyneth Paltrow and Lea Michele hung out together on the red carpet at the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday, May 2nd.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured an exhibit, the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty retrospective, which honored the late designer’s body of work.

Paltrow chose a long sleeve white column dress by her friend, Stella McCartney and Michele wore a beautiful red strapless faille silk gown from Escada.

The Glee costars were lovely in red and white at the fashion event.

Another ‘Green Lantern’ Poster Has Rings Glowing

Here’s the latest Green Lantern poster.

Ok, the sheer number of posters being released for this movie are starting to get ridiculous. Ok, we get it already! They wear strange fleshy green suits and hang out together with glowing rings! I wish they would release a poster with another look, it’s all starting to look the same!

‘Fast Five’ Races to Biggest Opening of 2011

Fast Five was the winner by a landslide this past weekend (April 29-May 1, 2011) making a cool $86.1 million. I guess this officially kicks summer movie season into gear! The other movies that opened this weekend didn’t fare so well. Disney’s Prom opened at #5 with $4.7 million. Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil opened at #6 with 4.1 million and nothing else opened in the top ten.
