Just one day after the assassination of terrorist leader Osama Bin Laden, movie deals are already brewing.

Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow in recent weeks has been preparing and starting to cast an indie movie with the working title Kill Bin Laden, while another movie project about the hunt for the Al Queda terrorist leader at a major Hollywood studio stalled back in 2006. Given tonight’s startling news, it’s clear that these  may be the timeliest film projects in recent Hollywood history.

Although no additional announcements have officially been made, I guarantee we will be hearing about at least one more movie prepping for production by the end of the month, if not this week. The internet is abuzz over the huge news, many talking about the SEAL Team Six and their successful operation. My guess is that in addition to Kathryn Bigelow‘s Kill Bin Laden we’ll see a project titled Team Six in the near future.

Bryan Cranston has been added to the cast of the upcoming musical Rock of Ages.

Breaking Bad‘s Bryan Cranston will play the mayor in Rock of Ages, the Adam Shankman-directed adaptation of the Broadway musical. He’s the husband of an Anita Bryant-like advocate who wants to ban rock and roll. That role’s played by Catherine Zeta-Jones and both were created specifically for the movie. He joins a cast that includes Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Mary J. Blige, Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti, Diego Boneta and Julianne Hough.

Cranston is a fantastic actor, I’d be interested in anything he does. This movie is sounding more and more appealing even though it’s a musical. The big draw for me is this cast, I just wonder who among them is a good singer other than Catherine Zeta-Jones. I’m not much for musicals but I actually liked Hairspray, which is from the same director Adam Shankman, so I’ll probably check this one out.

Chris Hemsworth star of this coming weekend’s big summer blockbuster Thor will likely join the upcoming movie Snow White and the Huntsman.

‘Thor’ star Chris Hemsworth has emerged as a front runner to star in Snow White and the Huntsman, the Universal fairy tale that also Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart. Rupert Sanders is directing.

I’ve yet to see Thor, so I’m not really sure how Hemsworth is as an actor. I’m hearing that Thor is a great movie so that’s a good sign for him. Snow White and the Huntsman has had this role cast and re-cast already, I’m hoping that doesn’t mean it’s a bad script. Only time will tell.

Rihanna was red hot (isn’t she always?) at the DKMS  5th Annual Gala held at Cipriani’s in New York City.

The 23 year-old was awarded for her fundraising, promoting research and raising awareness for Leukemia.

Rihanna was sexy in her long flowing black dress with lace inserts on the sides of her breasts and had her fiery red hair in a 50s beehive.

Mariska Hargitay is basking in the glow of her new daughter.

The Law & Order SVU actress and her husband, Peter Hermann, who also have a son August, 4 1/2, adopted Amaya Josephine a little over a month ago. Amaya has been a welcome and peaceful addition to their family.

“You never know what you’re going to get with the second baby and so I was sort of nervous about it,” she told People magazine. “She’s so zen and so peaceful. I can’t quite believe how easy she’s been — her disposition.”

“She’s not fussy, she doesn’t cry much … she’s just very peaceful,” adds Hargitay. “I feed her, she sleeps. It’s pure magic. I feel very blessed.”

The 47 year-old actress will need some peace at home. Hargitay has just filed a lawsuit against her former agency to stop them from collecting fees she feels she does not owe them.

The star jumped ship from the William Morris Agency in 2009 when her rep, Erwin More went to Paradigm. Wm Morris merged with  Endeavor to be called WME and they are asking for fees from her SVU years of season 10 and 11 – after she was with Paradigm, according to court documents filed in New York State.

Mariska says they are not entitled to the fees and is going to court to stop the commissions from being paid.

Jennifer Hudson looked sensational at the Mary J Blige Honors Concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on May 1st.

The 29 year-old wore a super tight thistle-pink colored dress and beamed on the red carpet.

Hudson’s weight loss has been dramatic over the past two years and she admitted that her fiance, WWE wrestler David Ortungo would like it to stop.

“I haven’t actually caught up with how I look. Some people don’t like it so much and tell me to stop. My fiancé tells me not to lose more – he likes me very basic, no make-up, no heels, no fuss,” Jennifer said.

“I think both of us are still struggling to come to terms with this new me. He’ll tell me not to dress up, but I tell him to get used to it.”

Sara Gilbert and Leah Remini stepped out on a sunny Sunday afternoon for the GLSEN Honors The Women of “The Talk” event in Malibu, California.

Gilbert shared why she thinks the organization is important to help spread the word and their efforts for education.

“I think it’s just like anything, it takes time,” she said. “We really have come a long way. Fifty years ago I can imagine what it would be liketo be  growing up gay and now it’s a whole different world.”

“But I think, like anything it just takes time,” Gilbert continues. “So it’s important to keep the cause up there. there are still kids who are afraid to go to school,or getting beat up or bullied. Things like GLSEN are and awesome way to help them feel safe.”

Who hasn’t heard this story before:  best man and maid of honor hook up at a wedding.  It’s happened in reality, for sure.  When they’re the siblings of the bridal couple, though, it starts to sound like it was lifted out of a Jane Austen novel…. especially when the sisters are from a middle class family and the brothers are noblemen. Or princes.

Pippa Middleton was reportedly “not amused” with Prince Harry‘s toast to his brother, Prince William, and her sister, Kate Middleton.  However, that didn’t stop the younger siblings from leaving the evening wedding reception together.  Even though the party, hosted by Prince Charles, didn’t break up until nearly 3:00 am, Pippa and Harry were seen leaving together around 1:30 am.

It’s no mystery where they went:  they headed to the Goring Hotel, where many of the wedding guests, including Pippa and her family, were staying.   Perfect, right?  Another few years, another Royal Wedding, happily ever after and all that.  But of course no Austen novel would be complete without a twist – usually a romantic entanglement from the past.  And that twist, in this case, is named Chelsy Davy.

But of course… Harry’s on again, off again girlfriend was present all day – from the wedding ceremony to the receptions at Buckingham Palace, and the apparent after party at the Goring.  Where Harry and Chelsy were seen “acting like a couple” and kissing “in front of everyone.”    They left together, at 6:00 am.

Guess they’re back on again.  I’m kind of thinking, though, if you had to choose between Pippa and Chelsy just based on the wedding day, I would think most guys would want to go with Pippa.  She looked incredible!  Chelsy looked like she’d slept in her clothes, rolled out of bed and ran to the wedding.  A little used up, if you ask me.  Then again maybe Harry likes his women that way!

The parties are over and the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and his bride Kate Middleton, are heading back home so he can get back to work for the Royal Air Force on Tuesday.  It’s probably about time to wind down the Royal Wedding coverage a bit.

I’m still captivated, though, by this video of William and Kate driving from Buckingham Palace to Clarence House in the afternoon following their wedding.  Wills decided to take his bride for a spin in his father’s convertible Aston Martin, which had been decked out by his best man, Prince Harry, in balloons and stickers.  It bore a license plate reading “Just Wed.”

This is the cutest video.  They’re so giddy, and the crowds are totally loving it.   Enjoy the show.
