Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin Starring in ‘Labor Day’

Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin are both likely starring in the upcoming film Labor Day.

Kate Winslet will be set shortly to star in Labor Day, the adaptation of the Joyce Maynard novel that was scripted and will be directed by Jason Reitman…

…a single mother of a young son who takes in a stranger with a dangerous past. She falls in love with him over the course of Labor Day Weekend.

…Josh Brolin’s reps tell me he will be in the movie, too, playing the guy who engages in the weekend affair with Kate Winslet’s character…

This is all early news, hopefully it doesn’t fall through. Sounds like a great duo for this story, not to mention it sounds like a compelling one. I absolutely love Kate Winslet, she’s one of the few actors who I’d watch a movie for the simple fact that she’s in it. Brolin is great too, so this movie has already piqued my curiosity.

Eva Longoria: MALDEF Gala Magnificent

Eva Longoria went to Washington D.C. to attend the 2011 MALDEF Gala at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel on Wednesday, June 15th.

The Desperate Housewives star was a pale green goddess in a one shoulder cocktail-length dress with lace by Monique Lhuillier.

Longoria, 36, has supported MALDEF for many years and in 2009 received a community service award from the orgainization. This year the actress was a special presenter to Hilda L. Solis, United States Secretary of Labor for Excellence in Government Service.

MALDEF is the nation’s leading Latino legal civil rights organization. Often described as the “law firm of the Latino community”, MALDEF promotes social change through advocacy, communications, community education, and litigation in the areas of education, employment, immigrant rights, and political access.

Gerard Butler & AnnaLynne McCord: ‘A Ring To Educate A Child In Haiti’ Launch

Gerard Butler and AnnaLynne McCord stepped out to the VHERNIER and Artists for Peace & Justice Launch Event in Beverly Hills, California on Wednesday, June 15th.

Butler and McCord were on hand for the initial offering of ‘A Ring to Educate a Child in Haiti’ — a new $1370 limited edition pirouette ring made of silver and rose gold. The purchase of each ring will provide a year of tuition at the St. Luc’s Street Schools and the Academy for Peace and Justice in Haiti.

McCord traded in her blonde locks for a more subdued brunette coloring and posed quite happily on the carpet with Butler, who was all smiles for the event.

As well as Butler and McCord, director Paul Haggis, the founder of APJ, and Castle star Stana Katic came to the celeb event for a good cause.

Bar Refaeli Breaks Her (Probably Still Gorgeous) Arm

I’m sure her limb looks magnificent even in an awkward cast.

Sports Illustrated model and all-around super gorgeous gal, Bar Refaeli has broken her arm.

The 26 year-old posted her predicament on twitter.

“I broke my arm. And I’m annoyed! Booooooo,” she tweeted.

Refaeli or her reps haven’t said anything more about her injury; like how it happened, where or how serious it is or isn’t.

The Israeli born model isn’t having much luck in any department lately. Her and her on/off again love, Leonardo DiCaprio, have apparently broken up for good, as Leo has been photographed cavorting with Gossip Girl and *not* nude-photo star Blake Lively.

Get better soon Bar!

‘Jurassic Park 4′ Becoming a Reality from Spielberg

Steven Spielberg is looking to get a script together to make Jurassic Park 4.

Steven Spielberg has dinosaurs back on the brain lately. In addition to the impending launch of the television series Terra Nova on Fox in the fall, Spielberg has been meeting with screenwriter Mark Protosevich to kick around ideas for how to re-boot the Jurassic Park franchise.

Unless a fourth script has some pretty phenomenal writing and major twists, I won’t be too excited about this one. I liked the first three movies, but there was nothing truly special about the last two, special effects only go so far. Making a fourth film seems like it’s more of a sure financial bet than a truly good idea.

‘The Muppets’ Funny ‘Green Lantern’ Parody Trailer

Here’s the latest parody trailer for the upcoming movie The Muppets, this time playing with Green Lantern.

I’m loving that they are doing a variety of trailers to show off this movie. It’s obvious that this movie isn’t taking itself too seriously, I mean c’mon it’s The Muppets after all. All these little short fun trailers are doing their job, I’m more and more interested in watching it with every one.

First Look: Shirtless Long Haired Tom Cruise in ‘Rock of Ages’ (Image)

Here’s the first image released for the upcoming movie Rock of Ages starring Tom Cruise. (Full image below)

He looks like a crazy rocker, Tom Cruise always takes his roles with passion. He looks almost younger in this picture than he did in the last two or three movies he did. It’s probably because most rockers are more physically run down than he looks in this movie. Rock of Ages will be in theaters on June 1st, 2012.

Giada De Laurentiis Gets Royal Food Duty For William & Kate’s US Visit

She struggled to keep it a secret but today she could finally tell. Giada De Laurentiis revealed she is the lucky chef chosen to cook for Prince William and Kate Middleton at a charity event they will attend on their 3 day US visit in July from the 8th through the 10th.

“I had no idea the Royal Couple would be attending,” De Laurentiis, 40, told Today.com. “And when I finally found out it was actually kind of a bummer,” she said. “I couldn’t tell anyone – I had to keep it hush-hush until their California itinerary was released!”

The Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club will host 2,500 guests on July 9th, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge where a fundraiser polo tournament will be held, with William participating in the action on the field.

For the menu, De Laurentiis is planning on showcasing her strength: California cuisine with an Italian flare.

A “light and colorful” pea pesto crostini, featuring pureed peas on toast, topped with half a cherry tomato.

California chopped salad with a mix of grilled lettuces, grilled corn, grilled shrimp, zucchini & crispy tortillas in a light lemon dressing.

Chicken Milanese, which features breaded chicken cutlets in a creamy tomato fennel sauce.
