Poppy Montgomery headed to the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the 2011 Women In Film Crystal + Lucy Awards on Thursday.

The 35 year-old Australian actress was radiant in a golden bustier-style gown by Max Mara with a large satin ribbon at the waist.

Montgomery, who was famous for playing FBI Agent Samantha Spade on Without A Trace, is coming back to TV this fall in the CBS drama Unforgettable.

UNFORGETTABLE stars Poppy Montgomery as Carrie Wells, an enigmatic former police detective with a rare condition that makes her memory so flawless that every place, every conversation, every moment of joy and every heartbreak is forever embedded in her mind. It’s not just that she doesn’t forget anything – she can’t; except for one thing: the details that would help solve her sister’s long-ago murder. Carrie has tried to put her past behind her, but she’s unexpectedly reunited with her ex-boyfriend and partner, NYPD Detective Al Burns (Dylan Walsh), when she consults on a homicide case. Mike Costello (Michael Gaston), Al’s right-hand man; Detective Roe Saunders (Kevin Rankin), the junior member of the team; and Detective Nina Inara (Daya Vaidya), a sassy, street-smart cop. Being back on the job after a break feels surprisingly right for Carrie. Despite her conflicted feelings for Al, she decides to permanently join his unit as a detective solving homicides – most notably, the unsolved murder of her sister. All she needs to do is remember.

Chris Brown and Justin Bieber release the video for their collaboration “Next 2 U” singing their way through destroyed New York City streets.

Brown, 22, and Bieber, 17, are just two simple guys trying to get back to their girls despite the devastation around them. That’s the power of love, baby!

“It’s here,” Bieber tweeted. “NEXT 2 YOU…from singing WITH YOU in my apartment to this…DREAM BIG. ENJOY!! thanks. #epic.”

The song is featured on Brown’s album F.A.M.E.

The Colin Tilley directed video also has Shannon Elizabeth running from the mayhem and fire.

Matthew McConaughey dons a cowboy hat and a mustache as he takes his partner, Camilla Alves to the 2011 Los Angeles Film Festival Opening Night Premiere of Bernie held at the Regal Cinemas L.A. Live on Thursday (June 16th) night.

The film, directed by Richard Linklater, is based in small-town Texas, where the local mortician (Jack Black) strikes up an odd friendship with a wealthy widow (Shirley Maclaine,) and kills her. He faces justice from a formidable prosecutor (McConaughey.)

This isn’t the first collaboration between McConaughey and Linklater. The two famously paired up for 1993′s Dazed and Confused and a few years later for The Newton Boys.

Karina Sminoff and Angela Bassett attended the premiere of Green Lantern held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on Thursday, June 15th.

The Dancing with The Stars pro rocked a cute bright blue dress with draping at the bust and accessorized with long, drop gold filigree earrings.

Bassett, who plays the brilliant scientist Dr. Amanda Waller in the film, wore a black, gathered Mandalay dress with metallic side panels for the event.

The Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles last night honored Katie Holmes as the winner of the MaxMara Face of the Future trophy.

Holmes, 32, chose a simple yet elegant MaxMara white top with black skirt that showed off her gorgeous gams.

Accepting the award, the actress said she was inspired by her parents and her husband, Tom Cruise “whose commitment to his work and family inspires me daily.”

Women In Film is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women achieve their highest potential within the global entertainment, communication and media industries and to preserving the legacy of women within those industries.

Think back to Madonna’s classic 80s look and add the videos of the era – dancing on the pseudo-gritty inner city streets with people hanging out on their fire escapes, only to have some pop tart come along and merrily show you how life is so much better if you’d only boogie (or if you had a guy playing sax on the steps, thank you Clarence Clemons for your cameo and you’re general awesomeness!)

Throw in the studded leather (vintage Gianni Versace), a jaunty newsboy cap and that odd, blue-violet light that so many vids used and you’ve pretty much got Lady Gaga‘s latest video for “Edge of Glory,” which made it debut on So You Think You Can Dance last night.

Gaga did take the opportunity to reach out to her fans and ask her Little Monsters to help get gay marriage legalized in New York State. She tweeted:

“NY Monsters call 202.684.2471 Ask for Mark Grisanti. Ask to Vote Yes for the Marriage Equality Act. Call+leave a message for him. Be brave.”

I have very mixed feelings about this. The music and the visual are such a throwback, I’m not even sure it’s really a tribute – more of an outright steal – not that it isn’t fun – but still. An homage to Michael Jackson & Madonna is nice and taking away all the usual Gaga elements – insane number of dancers and huge productions, was a nice change of pace for Gaga but I hope she’s done with the 80s time warp.

J.K. Rowling has a mysterious new website promising the announcement of a new story from the Harry Potter universe entitled Pottermore! Click the link to see the site!

If you click on the owls it goes to a countdown on YouTube for her official announcement on June 22nd. Less than a week away! This is huge for Harry Potter fans who are mourning the end of the beloved series on the big screen. If new books come out, movies won’t be far behind. The fact that Potter is in the title leads us to believe that he’ll indeed be in the story. What do you think?

Here’s the first trailer for the upcoming movie Moneyball starring Brad Pitt.

This movie actually looks pretty good, It’s really not at all what I was expecting. I’m automatically at least a little interested because it’s about the Oakland A’s which is a family favorite team, but this actually looks like a great story. It’ll be interesting to see Jonah Hill do a serious role for once.

Things are moving along for Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux in the romance department.

Fresh from his split with costume designer Heidi Bivens, 35, his girlfriend of 14 years, Theroux has reportedly moved in with new love Jennifer in her Los Angeles home.

“He’s living at her place in L.A.!” according to a report from US Weekly. “And she’s introducing him as her boyfriend.”

Aniston and Theroux’s relationship spilled into the spotlight at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards earlier this month and besides moving in together, the couple is sporting similar rings as well.

‘…Jen stepped out on the streets of New York Wednesday with Theroux — both wearing matching gold rings on their wedding fingers,” RadarOnline reported.

Shades of the Angelina Jolie/Brad Pitt/Jennifer Aniston triangle have surfaced: Aniston, 42, and Theroux, 39, reportedly met on the Georgia set of their film Wanderlust, while Theroux was still living with Bivens.
