Two Fresh New ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2′ Posters

Here are the two latest posters for the upcoming movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

This movie is nearing the end of it’s promotion cycle, these two posters mark the 23rd and 24th posters released. The anticipation continues to build as this massive series comes to an end. I wonder how long it will be before another franchise this big comes along? Maybe never? What do you think?

‘Straw Dogs’ Poster is a Copy Cat

Here’s the new poster for the upcoming remake Straw Dogs. And Below is the poster for the original film.

As you can see from the comparison this movie is a remake in every sense of the word. I have a hard time believing the new one could compare to the original in quality, but I guess time will tell.

‘Ben 10′ Live Action Movie Coming

The popular Cartoon Network animated series Ben 10 is about to become a live action kids movie.

Joel Silver has signed on to develop a live-action feature film based on Cartoon Network’s “Ben 10″ sci-fi franchise, with an eye toward distribution through Warner Bros. The show, popular with boys, has consistently logged high ratings in both cartoon series and live-action TV movie form on the Turner kidnet, nearing the 4 million viewer mark with telepic “Ben 10: Race Against Time.” Silver said he aims to make the bigscreen version a potential franchise starter.

This is a hugely popular series, I’m sure fans of the show will be shouting for joy at the news of a live action film. These guys are going to have to do a really good job, Ben can transform into ten alien creatures (hence the name). That’s going to be tough to do in live action. Hopefully it’ll be enough to please the show’s many fans.

Tom Cruise May Get ‘One Shot’

Tom Cruise is in negotiations to play Jack Reacher in the upcoming book-to-movie adaptation One Shot.

Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions are negotiating with Tom Cruise to star this fall in One Shot, a thriller based on the Lee Child book series about former military policeman-turned-drifter Jack Reacher. Christopher McQuarrie will direct his script.

This project is something Cruise has been wanting to do for years so it’s just a matter of time. Unfortunately for fans of the books Tom Cruise doesn’t exactly fit the description of Jack Reacher who is about 6’5″ 250 pounds. Cruise is certainly good at action though and I’m sure he’ll absorb the essence of this character quite well.

Matthew Fox and Ed Harris Joining Brad Pitt in ‘World War Z’

Lost star Matthew Fox and Ed Harris are in talks to join Brad Pitt in World War Z.

Matthew Fox and Ed Harris are in talks to join Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos and James Badge Dale in the Marc Forster-directed World War Z…

…The film is an adaptation of the Max Brooks novel that looks back on a global zombie infestation 10 years after the fact.

It’s certainly not your average zombie movie, the cast is shaping up to be really good. I’m glad to see Matthew Fox working again after his post-Lost time off. I’m also glad to see Ed Harris back in action, he’s done projects, but none on this scale for quite some time. The movie starts shooting this month for release in the summer of 2012.

Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Django Unchained’ Gets a Release Date

Quentin Tarantino‘s next feature film Django Unchained has been given a release date of December 25th, 2012.

Whether or not it stars Will Smith or Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz or Leonardo DiCaprio, The Weinstein Company has just claimed Christmas Day 2012 for Quentin. That’s the day they’ll release Quentin Tarantino‘s Western influenced film Django Unchained.

I couldn’t be happier, as long as the world doesn’t end on the 21st it’ll be my favorite Christmas present in 2012. The film still hasn’t locked down the full main cast, but whoever does land the roles will have to get to work right away. With the fast approaching release date, the film will have to start shooting later this year. I can’t wait!

Nicole Scherzinger Performs At The Capital FM Summertime Ball (Photos, Video)

Former Pussycat Doll frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger gave an energetic performance of her hit ‘Poison’ at the Summertime Ball, held at Wembley Stadium in London this past weekend.

In a backstage interview with Capital FM DJ Roberto, Nicole shared her secrets for keeping herself looking good:

“I have to thank my ancestors… I sleep when I can, and I drink a lot of water.  I don’t really believe in diets.  Eating healthy or eating food that makes you happy.  Everything in moderation.”

The one beauty tip she swears by?  “A lot of moisturizer.”   Something we can all do if we’re not blessed with excellent genes like Nicole.

Video of her ‘Poison’ performance, and more pictures, after the jump.

Full ‘Our Idiot Brother’ Trailer Still Just OK

Here’s the full trailer for the upcoming comedy Our Idiot Brother starring Paul Rudd.

This still doesn’t look very good to me, I’m hoping I’m wrong. Paul Rudd has a very unique comedic style, and he tends to play smart logical characters. This is certainly a departure from that for him, and I’m not sure how well it’s going to work. His character seems embarrassing and awkward, which doesn’t seem to work well for the movie.

The Oscars Get Another Change: 5 to 10 Best Picture Nominees

This year was the first time since the early days of The Academy Awards that ten films were nominated for best picture. Well, for next year’s Oscar ceremony there will be five to ten nominees.

The governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences voted on Tuesday (6/14) to add a new twist to the 2011 Best Picture competition, and a new element of surprise to its annual nominations announcement. The Board voted to institute a system that will now produce anywhere between five and 10 nominees in the category. That number won’t be announced until the Best Picture nominees themselves are revealed at the January nominations announcement.

This isn’t exactly groundbreaking stuff here, but it will make the snubbed movies seem all the more cheated. This does add an element of surprise that could pull in a bigger audience. I think ten is definitely overkill, even eight seems that way. Six or seven nominees are more than enough for this award.

Cee Lo Green At The Summertime Ball 2011

Cee Lo Green looked like he was ready for winter at the Capital FM Summertime Ball.   He took the stage at Wembley Stadium in a fur-lined coat that nearly makes me have heat stroke just looking at it.    Somehow he still managed to look like his cool self, though!

Capital FM is the UK’s top pop radio station.   This is the third year it has produced the Summertime Ball, which benefits the station’s own charity, Help A Capital Child, which helps improve the lives of children in disadvantaged communities.

Click through for more photos of the ‘Forget You’ singer, as well as a backstage video interview.
