Tobey Maguire is the latest celebrity to land a high profile fashion campaign and give those models a run for their money.

The former Spider-Man actor is fronting for Prada’s Menswear Fall 2011 looking very serious and absorbed in his fashionable thoughts and almost a little angry. What’s got you in such a mood?

Maguire, 35, wears a mock turtleneck, sweater, boxy cut jacket and an intense stare for the photos shot by photographer David Sims.

Micuccia Prada is quite happy with the actor and said she loved the mystery he brought to the images.

“His mood is transfixed and pensive, full of vibrant intensity and mystery,” said the designer.

Despite the look, Tobey says he was “thrilled” to do modeling for the luxury brand.

“A great supporter of the arts, Miuccia Prada has inspired a culture of creativity that is woven through every aspect of her company, from her collections and campaigns to every design detail in her stores” said Maguire. “I have such admiration for her artistry and I’m thrilled to be a part of Prada’s fall campaign.”

Maguire is filming Life of Pi with director Ang Lee and will reunite with his longtime bud, Leonardo DiCaprio for Baz Lurhman‘s The Great Gatsby. Maybe that will cheer you, Tobey? That or the fat paycheck you received. Either one.

Getting her geek on, Katy Perry gives the 80s a go with her latest video “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” that hosts a slew of celebrity cameos.

Perry takes on her alter ego, Kathy Beth Terry, a headgear-sporting, glasses-wearing nerd who gets a make-over from Rebecca Black and lives her dream of popularity, if only for one house party night filled with neon, plastic cups, big hair and cameos galore.

Debbie Gibson, Corey Feldman, the Hanson brothers, Kenny G and Glee’s Darren Criss and Kevin McHale all give the classic John Hughes teen-angst film a wink and a smile.

Kate Winslet takes over the ad duties from Karen Elson (who nabbed the role from Angelina Jolie) for St. John Knitwear.

The 35 year-old actress had her photo shoot for the company last month and the first image has hit the web with Kate looking very glamorous in a retro Jersey City theater.

They want to keep it looking like me and not have it look like me pretending to be a model wearing these clothes,” said Winslet of the concept. “I’m obviously not a model. I’m not the size of a model. I don’t have the face of a model or the shape of a model.”

Wearing a dark gray, figure hugging dress, a smoky background and lounging on a dresser, Winslet almost appears as if she’s going to cough in her sleeve from all that fog behind her. Darn good thing she’ll have that fur blanket to shield her!

I don’t know what this ad is trying to tell me, what lifestyle it’s trying to sell, but I ain’t buying. Although Kate looks smashing!

Jim Carrey stars in the new movie, Mr. Popper’s Penguins.  He is, of course, Mr. Popper.  This is exactly the kind of role you’d expect Carrey to take -  silly, ridiculous physical comedy…with animals!

A group of actual penguins was on hand at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre for the premiere.   And is that actual snow on the ground?  A real novelty in Los Angeles any time of year, but certainly in June.

Mr. Popper’s Penguins hits theaters this Friday.

Jennifer Grey and her husband Clark Gregg (not to mention their daughter, Stella Gregg) were all affection and fun at the premiere of Mr. Popper’s Penguins.   The way Jennifer is hamming it up for the camera, you’d think she was the star of the movie.  However, Clark’s the guilty party:  he plays a zookeeper from the New York Zoo.

Mr. Popper’s Penguins is an adaptation of the Newbery Award-winning book written by Richard and Florence Atwater in 1938.

Ashley Tisdale is a Disney Channel darling, so it’s only natural that she turned out for the Disney-sponsored A Time For Heroes Celebrity Picnic benefiting the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

One thing comes to mind as I consider this picture of Ashley:  are we actually looking at the inventor of the duckface?  A bazillion Facebook profile pictures look just like this, but I really have to wonder whether Ashley is the original.

Well, OK, two things.  What in the world is she carrying in that enormous purse?

Denise Richards joined tons of other celebrity moms at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation‘s 22nd Annual A Time For Heroes Celebrity Picnic.

Denise is cute and all, but she always seems to have this vapid look on her face, like she took one pill too many, or maybe there’s just nothing going on in there.  Or maybe it’s too much plastic surgery?  Who knows.  One thing I can’t snark about is her heart for helping the cause:  the event was expected to raise  $1.5 million to support efforts to prevent pediatric HIV infection and eliminate pediatric AIDS.

She hasn’t been in seen in public with him since the Royal wedding of her sister Kate Middleton to Prince William, so now it’s official: Pippa Middleton and Alex Loudon are kaput.

The split is no surprise to friends.

“It is common knowledge in their close circle of friends that Pippa and Alex have recently split up,” a friend of the ex-couple told the Times of London.

The 30 year-old former cricketeer was reportedly irritated by Pippa’s recent surge in fame (was he jealous of it or did she get a bit full of herself?) and the two called off their relationship in May.

“Pippa has become very high-profile, and it’s put a strain on things,” a source told The Sun. “They’re moving in different circles.”

No tears for the 27 year-old are needed as she finds comfort in former boyfriend George Percy.

Percy and Middleton have been seen hanging out together frequently in the last few weeks, including watching tennis and dining together amid the break up rumors.

After a brief hospital stay at the end of last week, Selena Gomez is out and ready to get back to work.

The 18 year-old tweeted and posted on her Facebook page her gratitude for fans thoughts and prayers.

“Feeling much better, thank you all for being so understanding. Can’t wait to see you all today at Santa Monica Place for the Monte Carlo kick off

Gomez was taken to the hospital on Thursday evening after her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. She complained of severe headache and nausea.

So what exactly happened to Justin Bieber‘s girlfriend? Varying reports of blood pressure problems to food poisoning and simple exhaustion are all attributed to her brief hospitalization but one thing is certain, Gomez is NOT pregnant.

The Wizards of Waverly Place is back on track and will make her first of 10 stops to promote her new movie Monte Carlo, at the Santa Monica Place mall this afternoon.

She will host the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto on Sunday, June 19th.
