‘Hangover Part II’ May Get Tattoo Removal Before DVD Release

The Hangover Part II has been plagued by a lawsuit from the tattoo artist who did Mike Tyson‘s facial tattoo. His original plan was to stop the release of the movie, that didn’t happen. But now, there’s a good chance Ed Helm‘s facial tattoo in the movie will be digitally altered to look totally different before it’s released on Blu-ray and DVD this holiday season!

When The Hangover Part II comes to Blu-ray and DVD in December, a major running joke could be totally different. There is an ongoing lawsuit between between Warner Bros. and tattoo artist S. Victor Whitmill, the man who designed Mike Tyson‘s famous face tattoo referenced in the film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, if the lawsuit isn’t settled, the studio plans to digitally remove Ed Helms‘ Tyson tattoo from the packaging and film itself.

I think it’s crazy that the lawsuit even held any water, much less that it could lead to such a huge alteration to the movie. It’s one of the funniest gags in the movie, largely because of the whole Mike Tyson factor. Really though, if the tattoo is changed, it’s not going to hurt the movie much. They’ll just have to pick something smart as a replacement.

Jason Bateman Joins Vince Vaughn for ‘Insane Laws’

Jason Bateman is set to join Vince Vaughn in the upcoming comedy Insane Laws.

Universal Pictures is in early talks with Jason Bateman to star with Vince Vaughn in The Insane Laws…

…The plan is for Bateman and Vaughn to play longtime best friends, who’ve shared everything, from college to the time both got married and had kids at the same time. Cut to when those kids are away at college, and, unbeknownst to their parents, falling in love. The best friend relationship is sorely tested when the daughter of Vaughn’s character gets pregnant. The actors just did a read-through of the material, and it could be in production by the fall.

This storyline doesn’t seem all that compelling or funny, but the duo of Vaughn and Bateman could be a great formula for this comedy. It just seems like there is some kind of additional hook that this movie needs to have to bring in the audience, maybe they are just holding off on release of too much information before everything gets locked down. I’m sure we’ll hear a lot more info as the film draws closer to shooting.

Sarah Palin’s ‘Undefeated’ Coming to AMC Theaters

Sarah Palin‘s upcoming documentary entitled Undefeated is set for release in select AMC Theaters throughout the country on July 15th.

AMC Theatres will be the exclusive exhibitor for the pro-Sarah Palin documentary The Undefeated, which charts the ex-Alaska governor’s rise to national prominence, and has solidified a release date: July 15 in select cities (Dallas, Denver, Oklahoma City, Orlando, Atlanta, Orange County, Phoenix, Houston, Indianapolis, and Kansas City).

This is clearly a push for her political career as the anticipation builds with people wondering if she’ll be running for president in 2012. I get the feeling that there will be a huge turnout for people going to see this documentary, she goes far beyond being a political figure and continues to solidify her celebrity status. I still don’t get the title, does she not remember 2008?

First Look: Sacha Baron Cohen as ‘The Dictator’ (Image)

Here’s the first shot of Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat, Bruno) as The Dictator.

Paramount Pictures has released an early image of Sacha Baron Cohen as The Dictator, the comedy in which he plays the dual roles of a ruthless dictator who heads to the U.S. for a meeting at the United Nations and finds that his number two has replaced him with an unsuspecting sheepherder lookalike. As the dictator wanders the city, he meets the owner of an organic food store (Anna Faris) who gives him a different perspective on the idea of oppression. Baron Cohen’s Borat and Bruno director Larry Charles is helming, and Paramount has set a May 11, 2012 worldwide release date.

It’s a pretty funny concept, and Anna Faris will make it that much funnier. It’s not like the last couple Sacha Baron Cohen movies in which he fooled a lot of real people, instead it’s a fully scripted movie with the same director. I have no doubt that this will still be funny without having to make a fool of anyone, although that was always fun too.

‘Risk’ Board Game Movie Gets a Writer

Risk
a movie based on the popular board game is moving forward as a writer has been chosen to pen the script.

Screenwriter John Hlavin has been set by Sony Pictures to write Risk, a contemporary global action thriller based on the venerable board game.

There are quite a few movies coming from popular board games, Battleship and Monopoly are a couple of the others. As with the others, there is no story involved in playing the games themselves. It’s really just a brand to attach to a script themed like the game. The time period could be set in modern times or long ago for Risk, in any case I don’t see how a good story could come of this. The game is about world conquest and war, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what kind of story will emerge.

Angelina Jolie, Louis Vuitton & Cambodia

The unveiling of the new Angelina Jolie ad for Louis Vuitton has happened and it is a stunning photo.

The 36 year-old mother of six is barefoot on a wooden boat in the Siem Reap province of Cambodia, where she adopted her oldest son, Maddox from.

The photo is for the luxury goods ‘Core Values’ campaign and famed photographer Annie Leibovitz took the snap after shooing some of Jolie’s four children who accompanied her.

The LVMH execs claim she is make-up free in the ad (that’s some crazy natural smoky eye she’s got going on there…)

“People are not used to seeing Angelina in this situation,” said Pietro Beccari, Vuitton’s executive vice president, unveiling the image exclusively to WWD. “I like the fact that it’s a real moment. This travel message we give through personal journeys is a fundamental one for the brand.”

The handbag Jolie is toting is her own “Alto” carryall that is about six years old and is no longer in production although Beccari told the fashion business publication that the company is considering re-issuing it.

The ad is scheduled to run for 18 months.

There was no comment on the exact amount the humanitarian actress was paid however it was confirmed that a ‘significant’ portion is headed to charity.

Make-up or not – I’m glad that some of that dough is being used for charity.

Ashlee Simpson Supports Pediatric AIDS Relief At A Time For Heroes Celebrity Picnic (Photos)

Yeah, so I’ve never been the biggest Ashlee Simpson fan, but even I must admit she looked awfully cute at the A Time For Heroes Celebrity Picnic on Sunday in Los Angeles.

At first I didn’t realize this was Ashlee – I honestly thought it was Agyness Deyn.   Granted, the whole skinny jeans-graphic tee-fedora look is rather overdone these days, but she looks cute.   Divorce does a body good?

Check out more pictures of the former Mrs. Wentz after the jump. (Read the article)

Minnie Driver At A Time For Heroes Celebrity Picnic (Photos)

Minnie Driver looked relaxed and casual at the A Time For Heroes Celebrity Picnic, benefiting the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.   She had her curly-headed son Henry in tow too!  (We still don’t know who dad is, right?)

The event’s motif this year was “A Passport To Africa,” and major sponsor Disney helped carry the theme:  some favorite Disney characters hung out to greet young guests at the picnic’s Safari Camp.  Also featured:  a Cars 2 toy car raceway.

Minnie was among the dozens of celebs who turned out for the event, and in fact, rubbing elbows with the stars seems to be one of the big draws.   But don’t think that kind of thrill comes for free:  at $1,000 a head, you’ve got to already have some cash lying around just to get in the door.

More pictures of Minnie after the jump. (Read the article)
