Lynda Carter ‘Disappointed’ New ‘Wonder Woman’ Didn’t Make It

Original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter looked magnificent as she headed out to Barnes & Noble at The Grove shopping center in Los Angeles yesterday (Monday, June 6th) to sign copies of her new CD Crazy Little Things, for fans.

The 59 year-old star still looks fantastic and gave the crowd of a couple hundred fans a chance to hear her live singing a few of the songs from the album.

Earlier she spoke about her frustration with the reboot of the classic TV show she starred in and how she had hoped it would get a new viewing.

“I was really happy they were going to re-do it because the story is a great story and it needs to be re-told and go to another generation of people,” she says. “I was really disappointed it didn’t work out.”

Carter also confirmed that she was contacted for a cameo, but was unable to work out scheduling to make it happen and thought she would get to appear once the show got picked up.

Now that would’ve been awesome!

‘Lost’ Showrunner Damon Lindelof Says January Jones’ Acting ‘Sucks’

Twitter comments fly fast and the nastier they are, the more traction they get.

Damon Lindelof, one of the creators of LOST, has taken aim and Mad Men actress January Jones is his target.

Lindelof critiques Jones’ performance in X-Men: First Class as less-than-stellar:

“Emma Frost’s THREE mutant powers: Telepathy, Transformation to Solid Diamond and last but not least, Sucking at Acting,” he tweeted.

Jones hasn’t responded to the remark but it isn’t the first time she’s been publicly taken to task.

Comedian Zach Galifianakis has spoken about her icy demeanor and how he told her off.

“I sit at her table,” the Hangover star said, “and talk for 10 minutes, and she goes, ‘I think it’s time for you to leave now.’ So I say, ‘January, you are an actress in a show and everybody’s going to forget about you in a few years, so f—ing be nice,’ and I got up and left.”

Piper Perabo ‘Covert Affairs’ Season 2 Debuts Tonight

Covert Affairs is a complete guilty pleasure and one that returns to USA Network tonight.

Rookie CIA agent Annie Walker (Piper Perabo) becomes a top level operative while pouting and flipping her long blond hair (seriously – someone get that agent a hairband!) but it’s still pretty delicious television.

And although Perabo might be a tough sell as an spy who speaks nine languages, she does have a pretty good handle on the stunts for the show.

“That’s me chasing the bad guys,” she says. “That’s me running down the Potomac. One of the fun things about making this show is that they let me go for it.”

“I know that when I’m watching an action sequence and they cut away and they show the hero from behind for the rest of the fight scene, I think, ‘Oh, the actor just left and now we’re watching a stunt person,’” Perabo continues. “It takes me out of it. I’m willing to suffer the bumps and bruises to make the show really great.”

Tonight we see the resolution to last season’s cliffhanger – Annie and Ben Mercer (Eion Bailey) are trying to escape from Sri Lanka only to have Ben get shot.

“He was shot in the final frame,” Perabo says. “The premiere episode answers the question of what happens to him.”

Covert Affairs returns tonight (June 7th) at 10pm ET.

Bryce Harper: Baseball’s Latest Bad Boy Or Just Immature?

The Washington Nationals first round draft pick from last year, Bryce Harper, found himself in a bit of hot water this week.

The 18 year-old Harper, playing for the Nationals’ Class A team Hagerstown, knocked in his 14th home run of the year and had a moment of showboating. Harper, admiring his handiwork, flipped his bat before taking his slow trot around the bases.

When Greensboro‘s pitcher, Zach Neal got heated about Harper’s arrogant demeanor, Harper upped the ante by blowing a kiss to the pitcher as he got to home plate.

Harper’s actions have many in baseball questioning his maturity level and when he should be promoted to a higher level team, considering he was the first round draft pick.

“One of the biggest sins you can make is putting guys into position where they’re going to fail early,” Nationals director of player development Doug Harris told a reporter. “We’re really committed (to) lay the blocks before we try to put in some chandeliers and some granite countertops. We want to make sure we’ve built a good foundation, not only on the field but in the clubhouse.”

This isn’t the first time Harper’s antics have caused trouble.

Antoine Fuqua to Direct Eminem Boxing Flick ‘Southpaw’

Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) is preparing to direct the upcoming Eminem boxing flick Southpaw.

Fuqua is set to come aboard “Southpaw,” a fictional boxing drama written and conceived by “Sons of Anarchy” creator Kurt Sutter and starring the Detroit rapper, said a source briefed on the film who requested anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to speak about it publicly. The DreamWorks film aims to shoot later this year. Fuqua has no formal deal in place as yet.

Seems like a good fit for this movie, I’m sure he’ll do a good job. Eminem hasn’t done much acting in a while, hopefully he can still pull off a heartfelt performance like he did in 8 Mile all those years ago. Personally I wish it weren’t a boxing movie, I’ve had my fill of those.

Sam Worthington Going to Space War

Sam Worthington is attached to a new unnamed sci-fi project from Warner Brothers.

Warner Bros has made a preemptive pitch deal for a science fiction action project to be written by Aaron Guzikowski that will reunite Sam Worthington with his Clash of the Titans producer Basil Iwanyk. The logline is being kept under wraps but I’m told it’s a grounded space war film.

Sounds like Starship Troopers, I’m sure they are keeping the details under wraps so they can make a formal announcement when more of the pieces are in the puzzle. Worthington is a sci-fi and fantasy guy, role after role. I’m looking forward to hearing if he’ll be in Avatar 2, or if they are going to go for a whole new cast. In any case, he has plenty of out-of-this-world work ahead.

Naomie Harris First ‘Bond 23′ Girl?

Naomie Harris is in talks to star with Daniel Craig in the upcoming 23rd James Bond movie.

The latest report is that Naomi Harris, famous for 28 Days Later and the Pirates of the Caribbean films, is in talks for Bond 23. The first report came from the UK tabloid News of the World, but was later confirmed by EW and other outlets.

Looks like we have our first new Bond girl! It’s odd because there was almost an entire cast in place for this movie before it was halted because of MGM’s budget drama. Now it’s obviously starting fresh, I hope the movie has an intriguing story like Casino Royale. I’m guessing they will reveal a title and plot synopsis by the end of the summer.

Angelina Jolie Returning for ‘Salt 2′

Angelina Jolie is set to reprise her role for the now confirmed as yet untitled sequel to Salt.

Sony Pictures is moving forward on its much speculated Salt sequel. Kurt Wimmer has begun writing it for Angelina Jolie to reprise her role as Evelyn Salt, the CIA agent who spent the first movie running for her life after being outed as a Russian spy.

Salt wasn’t the best movie I’ve ever seen, but it was a lot better than critics gave it credit for. Jolie was perfect in the role and the first thing I thought when the movie ended was, “I’d watch a sequel”. It’s perfectly set up for one, if the second script is as good as the first I’m sure I’ll enjoy it just as much. I’m glad this project is moving forward, I’ll let you know as more details emerge.

New ‘Horrible Bosses’ Character Posters

Here are all the latest posters for the upcoming comedy Horrible Bosses.

Pretty basic posters here, but they get the point across. This movie really looks funny, with this cast I’m sure there will be a lot of good laughs in this one. With any luck the story will be worth the price of admission too. Horrible Bosses is out in theaters on July 8th!
