Back in the Knight Rider days, many a fan may have dreamed of licking David Hasselhoff all over.  (At least I hope such fantasies were limited to those days.  But I digress.)   Now, thanks to the good folks at Del Monte, you can literally lick The Hoff, if you are so inclined.  They’ve just released the Hoffsicle:  a Raspberry Iced Smoothie popsicle in the shape of – you guessed it.

The Hoff posted a picture of his new “Hoffalicious”  iced confection on his Twitter, saying:

Del Monte rocks! The new hoffsicle Ice Lollie! Like me, It might take a licking but it keeps on ticking!

Poor Hoff can’t keep his classic advertising slogans straight, but you know, the booze.

Unfortunately for his fans stateside, this treat is only available in the UK, where David is currently a judge on Britain’s Got Talent.

This is not the first time Del Monte has created lickable celebrity ice lollies:  in 2009 they sold a limited-edition fruit flavored ice pop shaped like a shirtless Daniel Craig. Now that’s tasty!

American Idol Jordin Sparks was the guest of honor at the inaugural Ogilvy Cares Cancer Gala, held aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid in New York (June 1).

Jordin looked smashing in a navy blue dress with three-quarter sleeves and nude peep-toe pumps.

Ogilvy Cares is an organization of employees of monster marketing communications firm Ogilvy & Mather.  Its mission is to support Ogilvy employees who have been affected by cancer, raise awareness of the disease, and support other cancer charities.    The gala, while unfortunately named (can’t a mar-com firm do better than that?), honored Best Doctors and Aetna for their efforts to fight cancer, with proceeds benefiting CancerCare, a nonprofit providing free, professional support to anyone affected by cancer.

Is Lauryn Hill trying to compete with Angelina Jolie for the title of Largest Celebrity Family?  The singer has announced that she is pregnant with her sixth child.    She shared the news with the audience at a concert in Detroit this weekend.

Baby Number Six will join siblings Zion (14), Selah (13), Joshua (9), John (8) and Sarah (3).  Dad is Lauryn’s longtime boyfriend, Rohan Marley, son of the late reggae star Bob Marley.

Fans will just have to keep waiting to see if she ever will actually put out another album.  Congratulations Lauryn!

Here’s the official teaser trailer for the upcoming film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

This trailer is great, very intense and stylish. This is the PG version of the Red Band trailer that was leaked last week, both are practically the same minus some blood and bare skin. This is the next film from David Fincher (The Social Network, Fight Club) so expect some intensive dialogue and raw emotion. I’m excited about this one, it should be a great holiday season!

Big Man Japan is a completely bizarre movie that was released in Japan in 2007. It’s getting remade here in the USA by Sony Pictures.

Set in a world where monsters wreak havoc, there’s one man who can protect the citizenry: Big Man Japan, who runs the Department of Monster Prevention. Using electricity, he can grow to be 10 stories tall and fight off the most menacing of monsters. The problem is that he’s not very good at his job and often causes as much damage as he prevents. The people believe he’s a joke – and not nearly as good at the job as his father and grandfather were before he took over the family business.

This is one of those movies I’ve been meaning to watch for quite a while, but just haven’t been in the right mood for. It’s supposedly really great, as strange as it looks. Now I’m much more motivated to cue this up on my Netflix when I get the chance. I wonder how they are going to spin this one for the USA. Here’s the latest poster for the upcoming horror film Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark starring Katie Holmes.

This is a good illustration of the evil in the house, those reaching hands are creepy. I wonder how the story plays out, it seems like they can’t get to her because of her innocence as a child. This movie should be pretty interesting, even though it’s not the most original idea in the world.

Dwayne Johnson is in talks to star in the upcoming sequel G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes.

I’m told Johnson is in discussions with Paramount to join G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes. That’s the overhauled sequel that’ll be directed in 3D by Jon M. Chu, who helmed Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. Johnson’s role is a character named Roadblock.

I like the Dwayne Johnson, and I liked G.I. Joe when I was a kid, but G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra was awful. I’m really not expecting anything better from the upcoming sequel. If Johnson does take the role he’ll probably be the best feature of the movie. The fact that they have the director of the Justin Bieber documentary doesn’t say a lot for an action movie.

So many people become famous or infamous for ‘leaked’ nude photos or sex tapes and no one seems to feel any remorse about it but Reese Witherspoon wants women to think about what they’re doing for the sake of fame.

The actress was the recipient of MTV’s Generation Award at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards and in her acceptance speech, she took a swipe at women like Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and Blake Lively, all of whom have had sex tapes and/or photos released or star in a reality show.

“I get it, girls, that it’s cool to be a bad girl,” the Water For Elephants star told the crowd. “But it is possible to make it in Hollywood without doing a reality show. When I came up in this business, if you made a sex tape, you were embarrassed and you hid it under your bed.”

“And if you took naked pictures of yourself on your cell phone, you hide your face, people! Hide your face!” Witherspoon continued.

She ended with her own story and how she wants women to aspire to more than just fame – dignity.

“For all the girls out there, it’s totally possible to be a good girl,” she said. “I’m going to try to make it cool.”

Since Hilton and Kardashian have all made millions after those tapes were released and Lively’s career probably won’t take a hit, Witherspoon is swimming upstream but it’s a good battle to wage.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have captured everyone’s attention for so long with both their on and off screen chemistry and last night at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards was no exception.

The duo were once again voted the winners of the Best Kiss Award and they managed to make the non-kiss they do every time entertaining (I’d say they’ve got 2 more Movie Awards to plan for Breaking Dawn parts 1 and 2) by having Rob grab his costar Taylor Lautner for a big ol’ smoocheroo.

But it was after all the cameras were off and the lights dimmed that Pattinson and Stewart – who’ve been so secretive with their romance – started to feel more free to express their happiness and love for each other.

The Soho House in West Hollywood held an after party for the celebs to enjoy themselves and the Twilight couple hit the scene after changing into more comfy clothes (jeans and hoodies, of course.)

Pattinson and Stewart were quite the amorous couple according to a report.

“Rob and Kristen kept walking away from the crowds to have private moments with each other,” a fellow partygoer dishes to E!Online.

“Kristen was showing Rob something on her cell phone and the two were laughing about it. He couldn’t keep his hands off her, and she was smiling the entire time. They were definitely enjoying themselves at the party.”

So just how at ease were they to show their public affection with each other? Pretty darn relaxed:

Was that the shortest rehab stay ever?  After only about a week and a half, Amy Winehouse is out of treatment and back on the streets.  Apparently a quick tune up was all Miss Wino needed prior to setting off on tour.  Her rep explained:

‘Amy Winehouse has completed her assessment at the Priory Clinic in London and will continue as an outpatient.

‘She is now looking forward to playing shows around Europe this summer and is raring to go.  She would like to send a huge thanks to all her fans for the messages of support she has received over the last week and can’t wait to see them.’

Amy’s tour starts in Serbia and takes her through Turkey, Greece, Spain, and several other European countries.  Although I have little faith that she’s going to keep sober, let’s hope for the best.
