Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton’s ‘Furious Love’ New Scorsese Film

Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton‘s almost legendary love affair is likely to be one of Martin Scorsese‘s upcoming film projects titled Furious Love.

Paramount Pictures is finalizing a deal to develop a feature about the romance between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, as a directing vehicle for Martin Scorsese…

…They’ve optioned Furious Love, the book by Sam Kashner and Nancy Schoenberger that was published by HarperCollins last year.

Scorsese love to do personal stories like this. He seems like one of the only directors left in Hollywood who is fit to tell Liz Taylor‘s story. She was such an icon in her day, I think he’ll do a great job of portraying her in old Hollywood. Oh how times have changed since then, I love that Scorsese is old enough to remember the old ways.

Bellatrix and Severus Snape on Latest ‘Deathly Hallows: Part 2′ Posters

Here are the two latest character posters for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 featuring Bellatrix and Severus Snape.

Severus has always been one of my favorite characters in these movies, I was shocked at the events involving him in The Half Blood Prince. I’m glad I only read the first book, as it turns out, sometimes it’s OK to see the movies first. Thankfully I still have surprises ahead for this final chapter, maybe I’ll go back and read them all after I see it.

Alexander Skarsgard Interview Magazine

In a decidedly blue mood, Alexander Skarsgard covers Interview magazine for the June issue.

The True Blood star was grilled by Arcade Fire‘s Win Butler for the publication. Here’s a little of what he had to offer.

Wanting diversity in his roles: “I do get a lot of scripts sent to me where they basically want me to play Eric from True Blood, but just a different name in a different movie. That’s not interesting to me. I don’t want to play a character that I’ve played for four years on a television show, change the name, and make him a zombie instead of a vampire.”

How he connects with the characters he plays: “In a weird way, I always play myself, just through different mirrors. If I read a script and I don’t connect with a character, if I can’t find the character on the page in my soul, then I’m not going to be able to do a good job.”

What types of roles he wants to play: “There’s got to be something new, something fresh. I want to almost be intimidated when I embark on a journey. I wouldn’t say there’s a fear, but I do get slightly nervous in the beginning when that happens, and I like that feeling. That triggers me a lot.”

Katie Holmes & Suri Cruise Mermorial Day Beach Play

Katie Holmes and her adorable mini-fashionista Suri Cruise spent Memorial Day in Malibu at the beach just chillaxin’ in the sand – oh, yeah, with heels on!

Suri had the cutest little pink floral dress and white cardigan so of course, she had to have the right shoes.

What a crazy expensive wardrobe this 5 year-old has! On the other hand, her father certainly has enough money so why shouldn’t she have the clothes she wants?

Her dad, Tom Cruise, and step-brother Connor Cruise were also at the bash but stayed at the barbeque under the shade for most of the afternoon.

More photos of mother and daughter at the beach. (Read the article)

Shia LaBeouf Talks About Why Megan Fox Left ‘Transformers’

Shia LaBeouf is coming clean with his take on why Megan Fox is no longer part of the Transformers films.

Fox, who left/was fired/quit/whatever, made no secret she was unhappy on the set and did not appreciate director Michael Bay‘s approach (and crew members called out her behavior while defending him.) Whatever went down between the two, they eventually parted ways professionally and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was brought in as the new love interest for the upcoming third film.

One person who stayed silent through the whole thing was LaBeouf. Until now, the 24 year-old actor has kept his opinion to himself about why the super sultry Fox took flight from the flick.

“Megan developed this Spice Girl strength, this woman-empowerment [stuff] that made her feel awkward about her involvement with Michael, who some people think is a very lascivious filmmaker, the way he films women,” the Los Angeles Times quoted LaBeouf as saying.

“Mike films women in a way that appeals to a 16-year-old sexuality. It’s summer. It’s Michael’s style. And I think [Fox] never got comfortable with it. This is a girl who was taken from complete obscurity and placed in a sex-driven role in front of the whole world and told she was the sexiest woman in America. And she had a hard time accepting it.”

He continued “When Mike would ask her to do specific things, there was no time for fluffy talk. We’re on the run. And the one thing Mike lacks is tact. There’s no time for [LaBeouf assumes a gentle voice] ‘I would like you to just arch your back 70 degrees.’”

Shia says Megan’s replacement is much more on board for the Bay experience.

“Rosie comes with this Victoria’s Secret background, and she’s comfortable with it, so she can get down with Mike’s way of working and it makes the whole set vibe very different,” he said.

‘Gunsmoke’ Legend James Arness Dead At 88

James Arness who portrayed the legendary lawman Matt Dillon on the long-running TV show Gunsmoke, has died today at the age of 88 at his home in Brentwood, California.

The actor cut an imposing figure over most others at 6′ 7″ and was part of the groundbreaking series for all 20 years it aired on CBS.

Arness was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Ruth and Rolf Aurness. His brother, Peter Graves of Mission Impossible fame, chose to change his last name more dramatically than James, died in 2010.

When Arness was offered the part of Dillon by CBS, he almost turned it down, fearing a TV role would ruin his movie chances. John Wayne, who was a close friend of Arness urged him to take the job.

The character became one of the most memorable in television history.

“Matt,” Arness once said, “is very human and has all the failings and drives common to anyone who is trying to do a difficult job the best he knows how.”

‘Dr. Death’ Jack Kevorkian Has Died At Age 83

Jack Kevorkian, dubbed Dr. Death, had died today at the age of 83 at William Beamont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.

The assisted suicide advocate had been hospitalized with pneumonia, kidney and heart problems has apparently died from a blood clot in his leg that dislodged and settled in his heart.

“It was peaceful, he didn’t feel a thing,” his attorney Mayer Morganroth said in a statement and that there were no artificial attempts to keep him alive. Morganroth and Kevorkian’s niece, Ava Janus were at his bedside.

Kevorkian, who spent over 8 years in jail for helping a terminal man end his life and the airing of the video tape on television, has claimed he has helped over 130 patients commit suicide through the years of 1990 to 1998.

He also invented the assisted suicide machine – also called the “mercy machine.”

“I’m trying to knock the medical profession into accepting its responsibilities, and those responsibilities include assisting their patients with death,” once Kevorkian told reporters.

He was not without his critics who pointed out that Kevorkian would drop bodies in abandoned houses, parks and hospitals.

The former Michigan pathologist stirred the debate about the right to die and how much control patients should have over the end of their lives which contributed to pain management care and Hospice options that are now available.

He was also the subject of a movie You Don’t Know Jack, where Oscar winner Al Pacino portrayed Kervorkian.

John Edwards Indicted For Misusing Campaign Funds

John Edwards has landed in a heap of hot water.

A federal grand jury has indicted the former presidential hopeful for misusing campaign funds to try and cover up his love child with Rielle Hunter.

The North Carolina grand jury charged Edwards with six counts of violating federal election contributions laws allegeding that $1 million was used for Hunter’s living and travel expenses to keep her out of the way of the press.

Prosecutors also said donations were made in excess of the individual donor limits and were not properly reported.

“We will not permit candidates for high office to abuse their special ability to access the coffers of their political supporters to circumvent our election laws,’’ said Lanny A. Breuer, assistant attorney general for the Justice Department’s Criminal Division.

“Our campaign finance system is designed to preserve the integrity of democratic elections — for the presidency and all other elected offices — and we will vigorously pursue abuses of the kind alleged today.”

Edwards, 57, is due in court this afternoon in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and will enter a plea of not guilty, according to his legal counsel.

“John Edwards will tell the court he is innocent of all charges, and will plead not guilty. He did not break the law and will mount a vigorous defense,” Gregory Craig, lead counsel to Edwards said in a statement.

The revelation of Edwards’ extra marital affair and subsequent child ruined his political aspirations and his marriage broke apart shortly thereafter.

Edwards’ estranged wife, Elizabeth, died in December of 2010 after succumbing to cancer.

WATCH: Sneak A Peek At ‘The Real Housewives Of Orange County’ Reunion – What Potty Mouths!

Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Orange County is wrapping up with a two part Reunion Show special (and the “lost” footage one to follow) and wow! does the fur fly!

Everyone participates: Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Barney, Peggy Tanous, Alexis Bellino and Gretchen Rossi sit down for the Andy Cohen hosted chat and no one holds back.

In the preview clip Bravo TV just released, Tamra is swinging at just about everybody. She and Gretchen have it out (again – with a bit of tag team help from Vicki) and Tamra goes head to head with series semi-regulars Jeana Keough and Slade Smiley.

Slimey err Smiley does go pretty low with his comment shown in the clip and Tamra walks off in a rage (only to return I’m sure – this is Bravo and they are all contracted…) Anyone who says something that goes too far in this series – that’s saying something!

Vicki’s husband Donn Gunvalson is interviewed for the show and says “I don’t think the way this went down was treated with class or dignity.” For now we can only guess that he is referencing their marriage and divorce.

Peggy and Alexis will also spar with Peggy saying she “hung out with” Alexis’ husband Jim Bellino before they were married.

But one question I have – where is Fernanda Rocha? I hope we get to hear her take on the insanity of RHOOC season 6!
