Demi Lovato‘s time spent in rehab and trying to rebuild her life is reflected in her song and video for “Skyscraper.”

Raw emotion spills into the song and Lovato keeps the video spare and honest – no fancy camera work or technicolor costumes.

The clip, directed by Mark Pellington, keep Demi’s intensely personal lyrics the focus of attention by allowing the singer to walk the barren landscape of the desert alone.

This is Lovato’s first single off her upcoming still-untitled, third album, due in September.

David and Victoria Beckham have shared beautiful, candid pictures of each other with their newborn daughter, Harper Seven.

Victoria Tweeted a photo of David and Harper cuddling with the caption, “Daddy’s little girl!”

David, in turn, posted a similar image of Victoria and Harper to his Facebook page, saying, “I took this picture of my two girls sleeping.”

I really like this picture of Victoria with little make-up on.  You can see that the old Posh Spice is still in there somewhere!

These two are so totally besotted with their little girl.  I love it.  Keep sharing those pics, guys!

Ashley Tisdale marked her July 2 birthday with a belated celebration in Las Vegas. She partied, as so many celebrities do, at Pure Nightclub in Caesar’s Palace.

So I see Ashley is blonde again.  I actually thought her recent darker hair color was kind of nice.   Now, her hair just looks damaged and fake.  Nice touch leaving the roots dark – just to make sure we all know that you’re not a natural blonde.

Why am I so snarky about this girl?  I think I’m still a little disappointed about that nose job in 2007.   She was very pretty with a lot of character before, but now she just looks like every other young starlet in Hollywood.

Mila Kunis will not be the only celebrity attending a Marine Corps Ball this November. Mila’s Friends With Benefits co-star  Justin Timberlake has been invited to the Washington, D.C. Marine Corps Ball and has accepted.

Under pressure from Justin, Mila accepted a YouTube invitation from Sgt Scott Moore to attend the annual formal dance.  Shortly after, Cpl Kelsey De Santis issued her own request, asking Justin to be her date.  At the end of her 15-second video message, Cpl De Santis references one of Justin’s song, saying that he can “Cry Me A River” if he says no.

No one will need to cry, because he said yes.  He told reporters:

“I’ll tell you what: I accept.    But not because she shouted out one of my songs, which I do love.  And not because she had all those beefcake military guys behind her to intimidate me.  I don’t get asked out.  Ever. So I was very flattered by that.  If my schedule works out to do it, I’d love to do it. It’s an honor.”

I can’t say how much I love this.  I think the whole thing is awesome:  the chutzpah on the part of these two Marines to seriously ask for the date, the willingness of the celebs to actually do it.  Of course, now YouTube is going to be flooded with requests from everyone and their pet lizard asking celebrities out on dates, but if there is one lesson we can all take from this, it is:  it can’t hurt to ask.

Tennis champ Serena Williams is not opposed to showing some skin, and this past week we saw plenty of it.  Serena displayed significant cleavage at the ESPY Awards, where she claimed the Best Female Tennis Player Award.  She was also spotted grabbing dinner at BOA Steakhouse in Los Angeles.  She rocked a pair of satin short-shorts, a white top, and a fitted, cropped leather jacket.  With a body like that, why wouldn’t you want to show it off?

Helen Mirren just can’t help it:  she’s smoking hot in whatever she wears, even when it’s the Union Jack.  Which is exactly how she appears in the August 2011 issue of Esquire.  Snapped by British fashion photographer Perou, Helen wraps herself in the British flag for a fun, sexy portrait.   She also shares a few quick insights:

On the best compliment she’s ever received: Right after winning the Oscar, (Best Actress in 2007, for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth in The Queen),  when everyone was going home, they let these little gold Oscary shapes flutter down from the ceiling. Leonardo DiCaprio came over, bowed down, and kissed my hand. It was the most fabulous moment — such a lovely gesture. He didn’t say anything.

On the best phase of life: One’s twenties. It’s a shame because you’re your most gorgeous and you’re physically in peak condition. But it’s actually when you’re most insecure and full of self-doubt. When you don’t know what’s going to happen, it’s frightening.

On playing possum on film and stage: Some people are brilliant at dying. It’s hard to stop breathing, and inevitably you get an itchy nose or something. The trick of dying onstage is to make sure you do it behind the sofa or in a dark corner.

Taylor Swift is joining the ever-growing ranks of celebrities who launch a (usually very profitable) fragrance.

The country music star’s signature scent will hit stores in October and is called Wonderstruck. The name is taken from the lyrics in her song “Enchanted” which are “I’m wonderstruck, blushing all the way home.”

“Falling in love is a moment every girl daydreams about, and Wonderstruck represents that magical feeling of promise and hope and intrigue. It was fascinating to learn that you could layer so many different scents to create a beautiful end result.” Swift told WWD.

Swift is partnering with the Elizabeth Arden company to release a fragrance with hints of vanilla, peach, raspberry, honeysuckle, sandalwood and apple blossom it’s described as “a gourmand floral … a charming and sparkling surprise of vibrant fruits, kissed by a bouquet of soft petals and a touch of sweet indulgence.”

The iridescent deep purple bottle is decorated with Taylor’s favorite charms: a birdcage, a Monrovian star and a dove. Swift’s lucky number 13 will be gold embossed on the packaging.

“I share personal life experiences through my music, and my fragrance will allow me to share these experiences with my fans in a completely different and new way,” Swift said.

It was wedding bells today for Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo.

The couple tied the knot in a small ceremony on top of a cliff on the gorgeous and secluded Necker Island, owned by Sir Richard Branson.

Minnillo, who donned a two piece Monique Lhuillier wedding dress (Lachey wore a Dolce & Gabbana suit) said guests were in the dark about what was really going on.

“Nobody knew where they were going,” Minnillo revealed.

“Our wedding invitations were in the form of a plane ticket,” Lachey added. “We told them they were going away and the attire was ‘island chic.’ It was all very vague.”

While Lachey, 37, and Minnillo, 30, exchanged vows, a TLC camera crew was on hand to document the nuptials for an upcoming special.

The singer said he and Vanessa thought long and hard before saying yes to the cameras at their wedding.

“We kind of wrestled with that for a while, for obvious reasons,” Lachey said. “Having done reality TV in the past, I didn’t necessarily want to jump right back into it without having thought it through to great length, and we did.”

Lachey is no stranger to reality TV programming. He and his first wife, Jessica Simpson, were turned into huge stars with their MTV show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. Minnillo hosted the Ashton Kutcher-produced reality competition True Beauty.

Lachey and Minnillo began dating in 2006 and became engaged in November of 2010.

Elin Nordegren has been single since August of last year but that appears to have come to an end.

The former Swedish model and ex-wife of Tiger Woods, Nordegren has been photographed stepping out with wealthly financier Jamie Dingman.

Nordegren, 31, who reportedly received $110 million in the divorce settlement from Woods, was caught kissing Dingman, 35, outside her apartment in Stockholm, Sweden before he headed back to New York City.

Jamie is the son of billionaire Michael Dingman and is an emerging markets investor working in China and Russia.

Dingman has previously been linked to Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Blue Bloods actress Bridget Moynahan, Tom Brady‘s other baby mama.
