Mariska Hargitay Will Miss Christopher Meloni ‘Terribly’ On SVU

Christopher Meloni is turning in his badge on Law & Order: SVU after 12 seasons as Detective Eliott Stabler and costar Mariska Hargitay is breaking her silence about his departure.

The 47 year-old actress has been paired with Meloni for the entire run of the show and Hargitay says she’s already feeling the loss of her friend.

“For the past 12 years Chris has been my partner and friend, both on screen and off,” the Emmy winner tells TVLine. “He inspired me every day with his integrity, his extraordinary talent and his commitment to the truth. I love him deeply and will miss him terribly — I’m so excited to see what he’ll do next.”

SVU is headed for dramatic changes in the detectives line up this year – something it hasn’t seen since the first couple seasons when Dean Winters and Michelle Hurd vacated permanently.

With Meloni, 50, contract negotiations broke down earlier this week and the actor will not return for season 13. Hargitay is signed on for the upcoming year however she will only appear in the first 13 episodes.

Her role will then be reduced as her character, Det. Olivia Benson will move on in a supervisory position and not be a featured cop going forward. It has been rumored Jennifer Love-Hewitt may take her place as a special victims unit detective.

Rihanna Covers Cosmo For July

Rihanna get the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine’s July 2011 issue.

The 23 year-old singer told the mag she wasn’t really into twitter at first but she finds it helps her connect with fans.

“I was so against twitter I couldn’t understand how people were supposed to care what I was doing at any given moment,” Rihanna said. “Then I started to figure out you can treat it like a giant chat room: I can respond directly to people’s questions. It makes it easier to deal with the flak around you because people have a sense of who you are.”

The S & M singer also shares that dating is tough and being solo gives her the clarity to focus on her career.

“It can definitely be intimidating to guys to date someone in the industry,” she laments. “And it’s really hard to find a guy who doesn’t care about that stuff. Right now, its easier to just having my career to focus on.”

As hard as it is to find someone, she does know what she’s looking for in a man.

“I’m turned on to a guy by different things,” Rihanna shares. “It could be the way he looks. It could be his intelligence. Its really a spontaneous thing”

“I’m open to love but guys should have to earn it because the minute they get it, they want something else,” Rihanna shared. “Men are like hunters; they like the chase. So you have to keep them guessing.”

“Actually, I’m like that too. I get bored very quickly. So if someone can make me laugh, that’s the best.”

Diane Kruger Is A Stunner For The Chanel Haute Couture Show

Diane Kruger knows how to work a front row fashion show dress just as well as she works a red carpet gown, and work it she did at the Chanel Haute Couture show in Paris.

Diane wore a white Chanel Couture gown – what else? – with an embellishments on the bodice, back, and hemline of the asymmetrical wrap skirt.   She looked incredible.

Karl Lagerfeld chose the Grand Palais as the venue for the Fall/Winter 2011-2012 presentation, which featured forties-style skirt suits with big shoulders.  He ended the show with an irreverent surprise:  light-up boots and hats on the models!

More photos of Diane after the jump.

Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel: Back Together?

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake split up back in March after dating for four years, but evidently they just couldn’t stay apartUs Weekly reports that the pair are  heating up the old soup.

The magazine’s source says:

“They have been talking the whole time and decided to give it another shot. Jessica really wanted to get back together with him and Justin realized single life is not what it’s cracked up to be… they’re just spending time together and taking things slowly.”

This is not entirely surprising, considering that just last month JT told Vanity Fair that Jessica was “the most special… most significant person in [his] life.   When I read that, I had to wonder whether they were going to go another round.   Well, good luck to them:  I guess we’ll see if it’s meant to be after all.

Full ‘Final Destination 5′ Trailer Has a New Twist

Here’s the full trailer for the new horror sequel Final Destination 5.

At least there is a new element, (or at least new to me) the fact that the characters can kill somebody else to replace them. That seems mildly fresher than just a series of overblown death scenes. Final Destination 5 will be in theaters on August 12th.

First ‘Iron Lady’ Teaser Trailer with Meryl Streep Screams Oscar

Here’s the very first teaser trailer for the upcoming film The Iron Lady starring Meryl Streep as Margaret Thatcher.

It only shows her for a couple of lines, but it’s enough to show her ever present brilliance on screen. Meryl Streep will be an Oscar nominee again next year, I’d be willing to stake money on it. This movie is probably going to be quite good, I’m looking forward to this one.

Final ‘Deathly Hallows: Part 2′ Character Poster Series Emerges

Here’s the final series of character poster for the upcoming finale, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

It’s bittersweet, but fully exhaustive. I don’t think they could possibly release any more posters for this movie, with these four posters the total has reached twenty-eight. Yes, twenty-eight posters for one movie. I think the advertising department has more than done their job on this one. Only a week left before this epic conclusion, are you excited?

Where oh where can you go to get you’re football fix with the NFL lockout underway? A cornfield in Iowa, that’s where!

Taylor Lautner builds it so they will come in a new Funny or Die video that takes the Kevin Costner baseball classic movie Field of Dreams and gives it a gridiron and pigskin tilt.

Helping Taylor lure the masses to the non-regulation field with a tractor in the middle is Ray Liotta, Dennis Haysbert and NFL players Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis and Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson, to Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez and Indianapolis Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney.

Costner himself makes a appearance at the end as Lautner’s dad.
