The popular mobile phone game Angry Birds will soon become a feature film!

David Maisel told Variety,

There has been so much chatter about an ‘Angry Birds’ movie, but it’s now real. The process is starting now.

There is literally no story involved in the games, so they’re going to have to be pretty inventive with this. I love Angry Birds, I continue to play all three versions as new levels are released but a movie just seems unnecessary. One of the rumors is that it might be done with claymation, which I’d be really happy about. That’s a rare form for making movies nowadays, but I’ve always enjoyed it. Don’t expect to hear much more about this one for a while, it’s in the very early development stages.

Two busy moms with active (and profitable) movie careers, Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker have one other thing in common. Forbes magazine lists both actresses as tied for first place in the mag’s annual Highest Paid Actresses list.

Jolie, 36, and Parker, 46, are estimated to have raked in $30 million between May 2010 and May 2011 to earn the top position.

Jolie’s movie roles in Salt and The Tourist were her most notable works during that time as well as the Kung Fu Panda 2 opening and she filmed her directorial debut In The Land of Milk and Honey.

Parker gets her cash from a variety of sources, the Sex and The City movie sequel and the residuals and percentages from the TV show (she earns her paychecks as both actress and producer.) SJP’s also got earning power from very successful perfumes and a fashion deal with Halston.

Hot on the trail, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon who took in an estimated $28 million for the same time frame.

Rounding out the top 5 was Julia Roberts at $20 million for last year.

Interesting trend that all top 5 are actresses over 35 and only Jolie and Witherspoon are in their 30s.

The Valentino Haute Couture fashion show in Paris brought out some of fashion world’s most beautiful people and had a dash of Hollywood glamour as well as Anne Hathaway turned out for the production.

Hathaway, 28, arrived at the Hotel Salomon de Rothschild wearing a sheer black Valentino dress with black bodysuit underneath. Anne usually chooses more conservative but chic frocks but she looked fabulous in this light and sexy number.

The Love & Other Drugs star has been prepping for her role as Catwoman in the new Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises with a lot of physical training.

Hathaway recently told Harper’s Bazaar that she’s discovering working out isn’t just about being skinny.

“I’ve always thought that skinny was the goal, but with this job I also have to be strong,”

It might not be expected from him, but he’s definitely worth it.

Hugh Laurie is the new spokesperson for L”Oreal Paris Men Expert cosmetics line along with Gerard Butler and Patrick Dempsey and gives the endorsement a cheeky feel when he mentions that perhaps it was a goof.

“At first I thought it was a mistake but then I realised that L’Oréal wasn’t looking for models, but real people with strong personalities, who are worth it … and who aren’t afraid to proclaim that using cosmetics can be a very masculine decision after all,” Hugh says in the commercial.

L’Oreal’s global brand president, Cyril Chapuy, had no doubts about the British actor and why he should be among their celebrity endorsers.

Chapuy said Laurie is “the perfect example of a modern man: genuine, uninhibited, strong and willing to pursue his passions to the end”.

What can I say, I just love Hugh no matter what he does and this playful commercial is great.

Giorgio Armani sure is getting his money’s worth out of his spokesmodel Megan Fox.  She is the star of the designer’s Summer 2011 Beauty campaign.   I know I trash on Megan a lot, but in this case, I can’t really find fault with her.    She looks amazing – grown up and glamorous, like there’s actually some substance behind all that aggressively sexy exterior.    Whatever they did to her for this project, she should keep doing it!

In an exclusive interview behind the scenes at the shoot, Megan shared what makes her feel beautiful.  Her answer is so sweet:

“I think that what affects me the most is when my 8 year old stepson tells me I’m beautiful.”

Awwww.  Too cute, right?  I have a feeling that it will seem less cute and more icky when he’s 13 and she’s the neighborhood MILF (and a famous one at that). For now, at least, it’s a lovely sentiment.

Two of Law & Order: SVU’s most popular attorneys are back on the case.

Stephanie March and Diane Neal have inked deals to bring their characters back to work with the detectives of the SVU squad starting this fall.

NBC said March (ADA Alex Cabot) and Neal (ADA Casey Novak) are scheduled for “an undetermined number of episodes” in season 13.

Adding the familiar faces to the drama offsets the change on the police side of the TV procedural.

Christopher Meloni‘s Det. Eliot Stabler is gone and Mariska Hargitay will appear in all 22 episodes, but Det. Olivia Benson will receive a supervisory promotion mid way through the season and have less screen time.

In their absence, Danny Pino and Kelli Giddish have signed on to the show for the 2011/2012 season.

Fresh faces combined with favorite veterans should help ease the pain of Meloni’s departure.

Lily Allen - excuse me, Lily Cooper – is Elle UK‘s August 2011 cover girl.   She gives a frank and fairly intimate interview to go with her retro sexy cover shoot.   With her curly hair, she’s totally channeling Sophia Loren or Elizabeth Taylor.  I love it!   Lily dishes about her relationship with her now-husband Sam Cooper, her new projects, and the real diet secrets of the stars.  Some highlights:

On how models and celebrities REALLY stay thin: “I hang out with models, the biggest pop stars and, you know, really and honestly, I hate saying this, but none of them are achieving those body shapes by being healthy. They’re not just going to the gym two hours a day. They’re not eating or they’re taking speed not to eat.   In America everyone abuses that Adderall stuff and people aren’t normal.”

On how Sam helped her put aside her partying ways and clean up her act: “Come three o’clock it was like, ‘Oh I suppose it’s acceptable to have a glass of wine.’ And then by four o’clock I would have had four glasses. It’s not the way to be.

“I met Sam and he noticed that behaviour. I think it came to a point for him where he was thinking, ‘Can I be with this girl if this is what her life is like? I want to make this work, but I can’t live in this world.  I just needed someone to tell me. I suppose I was doing all that because I wanted acceptance and if he was telling me that he’d already accepted me for who I was and I didn’t need to do all this bullshit, then it made me feel safe and secure.”

This past holiday weekend (July 1-3, 2011) belonged to the powerfully dominant Transformers: Dark of the Moon which brought in $97.8 million over the three day weekend, but has already grossed an phenomenal $162.6 million in it’s first six days domestically! Counting the entire world through Monday the movie has already made $418 million!  The new romantic comedy Larry Crowne starring Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks landed at #4 with only $13 million; obviously these two don’t have the star power that they used to. Monte Carlo opened in the #6 slot with just $7.5 million. No other movies opened in the top ten this week.

Here’s the first poster for the upcoming action film Killer Elite starring Jason Statham, Robert De Niro and Clive Owen.

I couldn’t be more happy about this movie, what fantastic trio of actors to star in an action flick! This poster shows them as if they are all buddies or something, but from the story, that’s definitely not the case. I love the gritty high contrast black and white in this poster, it definitely highlights the roughness of these characters.

I’m not sure what there is left to joke about, but apparently Comedy Central thinks they can mine more gold out of Charlie Sheen‘s life and behavior.

Sheen, 45, is going to be the center of attention at the Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen and he says he’s ready.

“You could say I’ve been providing kindling for this roast for a while,” said Sheen, in a statement. “It’s time to light it up. It’s going to be epic.”

The network claims that everything is on the table for the September yukfest (or yuckfest – your call) and that the Warlock himself gave them the green light.

“Charlie has assured us that nothing will be off limits in this Roast… which scares even us,” said Kent Alterman, Comedy Central’s head of original programming and production.

And to continue the Two and A Half Men feud, the roast tapes in Los Angeles on September 10th but airs Monday, September 19th – opposite the sitcom’s 2011/2012 season debut with Ashton Kutcher.

Now who will be participating – is the question. Is Sean Penn coming out to make fun of his pal? Will Sheen invite Jon Cryer (even if he did – would CBS let him join in? Unlikely.) How about Charlie’s former goddesses? Or Kelly Preston? Rob Lowe?
