When you’re as fashion forward as Lady Gaga, it’s hard to surprise folks with your sartorial choices.  However, that’s exactly what the Mother Monster did this week when she was spotted leaving a recording studio in Los Angeles.   She wore basic black platform stilettos by Louboutin and a black Versace mini; even her makeup was neutral.  Boring?  Hardly:  the dress’ oversized yellow and purple floral print makes it totally Gaga.

I completely ADORE this dress… nay, the entire look.  Not that I’m saying she should dress more normally or anything, but this is a good, occasional alternative for Gaga.

Is it my imagination or does she seem really thin here?  She looks like she’s lost a lot of weight.  What do you think?

Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner are going to make it official:  they’re engaged to be married!

The happy couple have been dating since 2007, but doesn’t it seem like longer?

Heather has been married twice before, to rockers Tommy Lee and Richie Sambora.  Hopefully the third time will be a charm for her.  Jack has one previous marriage, to actress Kristina Wagner. Congratulations Jack and Heather!

Tina Fey has delivered yet again!

The 41 year-old actress and comedienne gave birth to a baby girl on Wednesday, August 10th.

Penelope Athena is the name Fey and her husband, composer Jeffrey Richmond chose for their child.

The 30 Rock star told Ellen DeGeneres that they did not know the sex of their baby and were waiting to find out. Penelope joins her big sister Alice, in the Fey-Richmond home.

In her book, Bossypants, the former SNL star joked about giving Alice a sibling.

“I thought that raising an only child would be the norm in Manhattan, but my daughter is the only child in her class without a sibling,” Fey wrote. “Most kids have at least two.”

“Who will be my daughter’s family when my husband and I are dead from stress-induced cankers?” she joked. “She must have a sibling.”

The deed is done.

The fabulous Eva Mendes is featured in the UK’s Zest this month.  Zest is a health and fitness magazine for women, and that’s exactly what’s on Eva’s mind.  She shares her fitness routine and diet tips with readers.

What she eats:

‘I focus on the inside out – so it’s all about what I’m eating, how I’m feeding my body and how much water I’m drinking. I don’t eat meat, but I eat a lot of fish and brown rice. I love bread, too. People are always surprised when I eat bread in restaurants! I mostly stick to wholemeal, though. When in doubt, go dark with the food – so I stay away from white pasta, white rice and white bread and that keeps things simple for me.’

How she keeps moving:

‘I hit the gym three to four times a week to do light weights – not too many repetitions – which target my whole body, and some serious cardio – normally sprinting and interval running. The minimum I do cardio for is 35 minutes, but you can get a lot done in that time if you use it wisely. And then I spend about an hour on the weight training. I also do yoga twice a week. It’s mostly astanga, but my yoga instructor creates a programme for me based around what I need – so if my muscles are tight from running, we’ll do poses to open everything up.’

Jani Lane, former lead singer for the hair metal band Warrant, was found dead late yesterday.

The 47 year-old was in his hotel room at a Comfort Inn in Woodland Hills, CA  when police found his body. The cause and circumstances of his death are still unknown at this time.

Lane joined Warrant in 1984 and wrote the bands biggest hits “Down Boys,” “Heaven” and “Cherry Pie” with the latter song becoming infamous for it’s video.

The Pie video also starred Bobbie Brown, who later married Lane and they had one child together.

The singer also had a stint on the 2005 season of VH1‘s Celebrity Fit Club as he attempted to shed some extra weight.

Lane struggled with alcohol and served 120 days in jail for DUI last year.

Lane (born John Kennedy Oswald in 1964) leaves behind four children: Taylar (Brown is his mother) Brittany, Madison and Ryan.

Hilary Duff is one of the four faces of Danskin’s Fall 2011 campaign, “Move For Change.”

The campaign features four fabulous women – Hilary, Padma Lakshmi, Christie Brinkley and Jenny McCarthy – “representing different decades” engaging in their daily fitness routines.  Hilary’s pictured participating in one of her favorite activities – hiking – and explains her love for this particular method of exercise.

Hiking is a great way to keep challenging myself and clear my mind.  You walk, run, climb through natural beauty – it makes you feel at peace.

The London premiere of Cowboys & Aliens at the O2 Arena gave Olivia Wilde fans a little something extra.

The 27 year-old was just-this-side of a dreaded wardrobe malfunction when she turned up on the red carpet in a black and white polka dot Gucci dress with sheer side panels.

Wilde’s sartorial choice for the event was prim in most ways – long sleeves, long skirt and long ribbon tie at the high collar – but it had a lot of peek-a-boo factor with the see-through sides.

The actress stole the show from her movie star costars Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig.

Olivia just landed a gig as Revlon’s new spokesperson, along with that other hot actress: Emma Stone.

Natalie Wood. Elizabeth Taylor. Valley of the Dolls.

Kristen Stewart is reminiscent of all those ultra-glam women of the 60s in this cover for the September issue of W magazine.

The Snow White & The Huntsman actress has heavy cat eyeliner and blush with a teased bouffant hairstyle that is a pretty perfect replica of time gone by.

Stewart, 21, told the magazine that the last two films in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn part 1 & 2, is chock full of moments fans have been dying to see but the wedding, in particular, was intense for the actress.

W Magazine: How was the actual wedding?

Stewart: “It was major. The last Twilight book is filled with BFDs, things that people have been waiting for for so long. For me, it was ridiculously dramatic: I get married, give birth, the baby has an incredibly accelerated growth rate we’re all very concerned about, and I say goodbye to my dad for the last time ever. It was all big—I could never go, Whew, I’m losing this character.”

She also addresses how conflicted she is about people seeing her work and all the attention it brings.

W Magazine: You’re not in charge of your life?

Stewart: “No. Not really. Not if I want to think solely about what I really like to do. It’s a funny thing: You want so badly for people to see what you do—you’re proud of it—and I like the effect that movies have on people. But the attention can also make me uncomfortable. In certain situations, people say to me, “C’mon, what’s wrong with you?” I apologize. I love what I’m doing, but I’m a little uncomfortable.”

The 2011 MTV VMA‘s are looming at the end of the month with Femme Fatale Britney Spears rolling out her first promo for the awards show.

Mixing her songs “I Wanna Go” and “Slave 4 U” with Janet Jackson‘s “Rhythm Nation” and Madonna‘s “Everybody” in the video, Britney makes her way through a party that includes nods to her favorite artists including a poster that says “Billie Jean” – a reference to the Michael Jackson hit.

“The general concept of what we are going for is basically called ‘The Muse Factory,’ ” director Jahai Brightly explained. “It’s where all your favorite artists that are going to be at the Video Music Awards this year meet and explore their influences and inspirations.”

In the beginning of the short vid, Spears walks past dancers who are dressed in some of her most famous looks throughout the years – her blue stewardess look, circus top hat and red vinyl catsuit go by in the blink of an eye.

The end features BritBrit standing in front of a neon sign reading A Tribute To Britney Spears. A hint of what’s to come on Sunday, August 28th.
