Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Premiere ‘Moneyball’ At TIFF

Angelina Jolie held onto her partner, Brad Pitt‘s arm as they walked the red carpet at Roy Thompson Hall of the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) premiere of Moneyball on Friday, September 9th.

Jolie, 36, chose a figure-flattering, draped, black silk gown from Vivienne Westwood and Stuart Weitzman shoes. She added a little spice to her look with a bright gold Louis Vuitton Lockit PM Devotion clutch which handcuffed her purse to her wrist.

Pitt, 47, looked dapper in his black suit and added a black knit tie to give his look a unique edge.

In the film, Pitt plays Oakland As manager Billy Beane as he put together a winning team based on stats and not on salary.

Katherine Schwarzenegger Opens Up About Her Parents Split

Her famous parents did a good job keeping her and her siblings out of the public eye while growing up, but once scandal hit, Katherine Schwarzenegger says all that changed.

In May, when the news broke that her mother, Maria Shriver, was splitting with from her father, Arnold Schwarzenegger, after revelations he fathered a child with the family’s housekeeper of 20 years, Mildred Patty Baena, Katherine says the media scrutiny was intense.

“Me and my siblings have never really been in the spotlight growing up,” the 21-year-old told Harper’s Bazaar for the September issue. “My parents always really sheltered us, so when [the separation] started happening, it was like everything came out of nowhere overnight.”

She added, “I would go out to lunch, and literally 20 people would come and scream at me. And I’m like, This is so inappropriate; you’re trying to provoke me to have an attack and say something crazy.

She says she’s very aware of all the rumors, innuendos and press being written about her family but chooses to focus her energies on them “instead of following the gossip.”

Despite all that, Katherine says her real difficulties are trying to find a guy when her last name is Schwarzenegger.

“I thought of changing it because, especially for dating, it’s impossible,” she said. “It’s something I deal with every day, and I am hyperconscious about it.”

“When I got to college, people — much more guys than girls because girls don’t give a crap about bodybuilding — were coming up to me, and it would automatically jump to a conversation about my dad and weight lifting or how to do a proper bicep curl. It’s like, ‘Do you want to date my father, or do you want to date me? Like, I can arrange that for you.”

Elizabeth Banks ‘Giddy’ About Effie’s Costuming For ‘The Hunger Games’

Elizabeth Banks, who rocked the blue carpet in a red leather J Mendel dress at Sunday’s 2011 Teen Choice Awards, landed one of the hottest parts around when she was cast as Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games.

The 37 year-old actress spoke about the costuming and Effie’s look to New York Magazine and shared a little bit of what we will see.

Are people going to have brightly colored skin?
All I can tell you is that Effie does have pink hair. When the hair and makeup was finished, we had all these people in the trailer and it was like everybody just got giddy all at once, like, “We did it!” and “This is Effie! It’s going to be awesome!” We were so happy.

Did you tone down her look from what’s described in the book?
Yeah, you know, it was like, “What’s the shape of the hair? Is it long? Is it curly? Is it short? Is it straight?” And I know Suzanne Collins had ideas, so it was all about like, “What can we do tonally right in the movie?” You can get away with a lot of things in a book that you can’t get away with when you’re visually watching kids kill each other. So we just wanted to make sure that she didn’t look too clownish. And that we honored the solemnity of what’s going on in the book. I wouldn’t say we toned it down at all, but it’s very specific.

So excited to see how the book and characters are interpreted visually. One of my favorite films from Games director Gary Ross is Pleasantville and the imagery of the black-and-white TV world that is slowly being overtaken by color was a powerful picture that enhanced the story.

Revlon Names Emma Stone & Olivia Wilde As Global Brand Ambassadors

Revlon has grabbed two of the most sought-after actresses and added them to their beauty roster.

Emma Stone and Olivia Wilde have joined the cosmetics giant and will be the retailer’s latest Global Brand Ambassadors starting in 2012.

Stone, 22, says she’s proud to be added to the list of famous beauties who have endorsed the brand and stands behind the company’s legacy of breast cancer awareness.

“I have been familiar with Revlon for as long as I can remember,” Stone says in a press statement. “I vividly recall my mom wearing Revlon makeup and I remember getting to the age when I was finally able to wear Revlon myself. As a brand, it is a leader and innovator in the world of cosmetic beauty. To me, nothing is more important than inner beauty and I am so glad to be associated with a company that recognizes, supports, and positively impacts women’s issues, such as breast cancer awareness. Revlon recognizes that every woman is multifaceted and magnificent in their own way and the expression of individuality is as important to Revlon as it is to me. I’m honored to be part of the Revlon family.”

Wilde, 27, also recognizes Revlon’s commitment to women’s health issues.

I have always admired Revlon and their commitment to giving women the confidence and tools they need to feel beautiful, both inside and out,” adds Wilde. “Creatively, Revlon has never been afraid to push the envelope, which is important to me. I also love that they use their tremendous recognizability around the world to do good as one of the industry’s biggest champions of women’s health. It’s exciting to join a company with a big heart and big ideas!”

Both stars will help with Revlon’s philanthropic causes as well as be the faces for new and existing products. The ads begin launching next year but sneak peeks will hit Revlon’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

Stone and Wilde have four films between them at the box office currently. Emma is in Crazy, Stupid, Love & The Help and Wilde has The Change Up and Cowboys & Aliens in theaters nationwide.

Rihanna For Emporio Armani – First Look

Rihanna

Last month, Rihanna was announced as the new face of Emporio Armani (replacing Megan Fox), and the first ad in her campaign has been released.  Shot by Steven Klein, the black and white ad for Armani Jeans portrays Rihanna in a chunky sweater, boots, and skin tight pants, posed in an industrial setting.   I am not fond of the blonde wig she’s wearing, nor the way they’ve appeared to have Photoshopped her famously curvy hips and legs, but overall, this is definitely the fierce, Rated R Rihanna of late.

Ri-Ri hasn’t entirely replaced Megan for Armani; Megan will continue to promote Armani beauty and fragrance lines, while Rihanna takes over for Armani Jeans and Emporio Armani Underwear.   The company promises to reveal more ads soon, and you know you’ll see them here when they do.

‘Project Runway All-Stars’ Won’t Have Heidi, Tim, Michael Or Nina

Not even Project Runway is exempt from the reality competition show trend of bringing back cast from the previous years to try again.

Project Runway All Stars, which won’t hit airwaves until late 2012, will have familiar faces in the sewing room (and trudging off to Mood,) but the judges and mentors are all new.

Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Nina Garcia and Michael Kors will not sit in judgement on these designers creations. Model Angela Lindvall takes Heidi’s place as host/judge. Designers Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman will round out the other two chairs while Marie Claire editor Joanna Coles mentors in the workroom.

So which designers will get to try their hand at sewing glory again? Here’s your rundown…

Austin Scarlett – Season 1 (fourth place)
Kara Janx – Season 2 (fourth place)
Elise Jimenez – Season 4 (tenth place)
Kathleen ‘Sweet P’ Vaughn – Season 4 (fifth place)
Rami Kashou – Season 4 (runner-up)
Jarell Scott – Season 5 (fourth place)
Kenley Collins – Season 5 (second runner-up)
Gordana Gelhausen – Season 6 (fourth place)
Anthony Williams – Season 7 (fifth place)
Mila Hermanovski – Season 7 (second runner-up)
April Johnson – Season 8 (fifth place)
Michael Costello – Season 8 (fourth place)
Mondo Guerra – Season 8 (runner-up)

The prizes they are designing for are not too shabby – an exclusive designer’s boutique in Neiman Marcus stores, $100,000 in technology and office space, and $100,000 in cash. They will also vie for a feature spread and a one-year assignment as guest editor for Marie Claire, as well as a sewing and embroidery studio provided by Brother International.

So what do you think of the cast?

Who would you like to see back on the runway? I’m already missing Daniel Vosovic, Korto Momolu and Santino Rice and think they would be excellent additions. What do you think?
