Keira Knightley Keeps It Casual In Venice

Keira Knightley

Keira Knightley wowed crowds and fashion watchers at the Venice Film Festival with her bold, floral print dress at the photocall for A Dangerous Method.    The next day, however, she was spotted rocking a more simple look:  a navy shirtdress and brown loafers with a coordinating belt.

Keira’s recent admission that she’s “a bit boyish” was the first thing that came to mind when I saw these photos.  I’ve got to say, though, that it’s totally working for her here.

See more Keira after the jump.

Diane Kruger’s Golden InStyle UK Cover For October 2011

Always beautiful, Diane Kruger graces the cover of InStyle UK for the October issue wearing a shimmering gold Dolce & Gabbana sequined dress with silver stars.

The 36 year-old actress shared her thoughts on fashion, her life with boyfriend Joshua Jackson and the differences working on films in America and France.

On her style: “I don’t have my own stylist. And I like to be a little different – in LA, everyone wears the same dresses. I think my background as a model helps, because I like experimenting and I’m not afraid of fashion or what other people think of me. What you wear is one of the only things about yourself you can manipulate.”

On life with Joshua: “Life is more important than work. We just celebrated our fifth anniversary. We met up in Paris, gave each other gifts and went to dinner – it was just lovely being together. We have the three week rule – we have to see each other, otherwise you drift. But we also enjoy our independence. We have our own lives and have a lot to bring back into the relationship because of that.”

On what she likes about different international film sets: “I love working in America. There’s a certain lightness about it that I like. I actually like to go and work on a film, have a good time and not think too much about it. But I also like the other side, something that is intellectual and intense, as you have in France.”

Eva Longoria: ‘I Have This Amazing Life’

Eva Longoria was positively glowing as she headed out from her pal Ken Paves‘ salon on Tuesday afternoon.

The Desperate Housewives star has said that while her divorce from Tony Parker was hurtful, she’s moving ahead with her life and diving into work gave her an opportunity to work through her problems.

“I’m a very strong person,” she told the UK’s HELLO! magazine via RadarOnline. “Personally I went through a lot, but jumping into my work helped me to get through my personal stuff.”

Longoria’s positive outlook also pushes her to look toward the future and not dwell in the past.

“I’m a survivor, I believe in love, I believe that things are meant to be and that whatever happens is for a reason. I’m always grateful for the experiences that I have and I’m also very optimistic about what the future holds.”

The 36 year-old told the magazine that despite any bumps in the road, she’s pretty lucky with a terrific life.

“I’m at peace with myself, my spirituality, my friends, my family,” she said. “I have this amazing life, so I’m really happy deep inside my heart.

Jimmy Kimmel opened his show last night with a very moving opening monologue to his late Uncle Frank – a frequent guest on the program.

Frank Potenza, a retired New York City police officer and a security guard at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, passed away on August 23rd at the age of 77.

The 43 year-old talk show host was visibly moved and choked back tears as he began.

Kimmel broke down at the end, just before showing a montage of his most memorable moments.

“Uncle Frank loved being a part of this show. And I wanna say thanks to my coworkers who talked to him and visited him and picked him up 12 hours early for work. He loved you. And thanks to all of you who came to the show and watched, for indulging me and letting me put my crazy uncle on television.”
