Brooke Hogan, the daughter of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, has stirred up a little controversy with her new photos.

The pictures of Brooke nude and caged were taken by Jordan Michael Zuniga for an exhibit at Miami’s Cafeina Lounge to raise awareness of caging animals. The proceeds of the sale of the photographs will go to PETA.

The 23 year-old singer said she wanted to give a voice to abused animals.

“I’ve always had a love for animals, and I’ve seen abuse firsthand. It ignited my passion for saving them even more,” Brooke told the Miami New Times. “The worst part is that they are voiceless in our world.”

At the unveiling, Brooke brought her father to the show and Hulk made a bit of a joke about seeing his daughter in the buff by using his hands to cover up her private parts.

The two took a lot of heat on twitter claiming that the father and daughter were “perverted.” Brooke responded angrily.

“Im SO sick of people saying me and my dad are in some perverted relationship! Go home and do your own thing! Stop picking on me,” she tweeted.

She’s blonde, she’s Smurfette and she’s proud of it.

Katy Perry walks the blue carpet of the premiere of her new movie The Smurfs, held in New York City at the Ziegfeld Theater on Sunday evening.

The 26 year-old singer is the voice of Smurfette in the movie and chose a very short sparkling and sequined dress with her blue character front and center. The white strapless dress showed off her fabulous legs and her blonde hair highlighted her pale skin.

Perry didn’t stop there with the blue-ness. Her blue eyeshadow and shoes, and a Smurf-themed manicure completed her zany, but totally Katy look for the night.

Perry will also have a role in The Muppets film, due at Thanksgiving.

The Smurfs opens July 29th in theaters.

Karl Lagerfeld is known for his high-end Chanel and Fendi designs, prestigious brands with society clout.

The designer has tried one lower- priced collection with H&M in the past, but he was unhappy that the retailer did not anticipate demand and ran out far too quickly (within minutes) of the fashions going on sale. Lagerfeld said about the merchandising snafu and disappointed consumers:

“They did not make the clothes in sufficient quantities. I find it embarrassing that H&M let down so many people… I don’t think that is very kind, especially for people in small towns and countries in Eastern Europe. It is snobbery created by anti-snobbery,” Lagerfeld offered.

It’s taken a while, but the fashion designer is set to try again, this time with Macy’s.

Lagerfeld’s capsule collection is a one-time deal that will be on sale next month in 235 of Macy’s stores, only stores with the Impulse department (mostly in larger cities) and online at Macys.com.

Their will be about 45 pieces ranging in price from $50 – $170 and have his edgy vibe paired with a bit of nostalgia. Lagerfeld told WWD that one of his inspirations for this was his time spent at design house Chloe, known for it’s flowy, hippie-chic look.

The August issue of Vogue (photo above) has one of the first peeks of this new collection – a $109 dress that is a romantic nod to his former design house.

Lagerfeld’s collection goes on sale August 31st. In November, Giambattista Valli will be featured and then Lagerfeld returns with something new planned for Holiday 2011.

Sarah Michelle Gellar looks super fit and casual on the cover of the October 2011 issue of Health magazine.

The Ringer actress shared her body insecurities and getting her and husband Freddie Prinze Jr‘s 2 year-old daughter, Charlotte started eating right.

On having issues with her body: “Oh God … I’m a female! I totally have body dysmorphic disorder. I think most women do. A makeup artist friend once said, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you look in a mirror.” I’m surrounded by them all the time—you sit in hair and makeup—so I guess I just have this mechanism where I tune it out. So every once in a while, I’ll look and I’ll be like, “Wait, that’s what I look like?” I just have to remember that I’m human, and I’m a mom. Being a parent changes the vanity at least a little bit. It has to. Your priorities are different.”

On Charlotte’s healthy habits: “Well, we’ve already taught her to love healthy food. We took her to sushi on Saturday night, and everybody couldn’t believe what she inhaled. I think it’s important at a young age to enjoy different tastes. And we make this green juice for her. It’s basically everything but the kitchen sink. We go to the farmers’ market and buy everything and just put it in the juicer: kale, Swiss chard, carrots, celery. You name it. And now we’ve all started drinking it, and we’ve all been healthier.”

When you’ve got a hit song called “Tik Tok” it’s only natural that eventually a maker of timepieces would approach you for a collaboration, and you know Ke$ha was just waiting for that phone call.  Now the outrageous pop singer has teamed up with watchmaker Casio to design a pair of watches under their Baby-G brand.   (She was already their brand ambassador, by the way.)

One of the watches is a sporty red, white and blue; the other is a more edgy piece in black and leopard print.   She explains the inspiration behind her designs:

“I’ve been designing and making my own clothes since I was young, and, as an artist, I design all of my stage costumes. This experience with Casio is so exciting because it’s my first collaboration as a designer and it’s extra meaningful because I wrote my first single “TiK ToK” on a Casio keyboard.

In creating my red, white and blue watch, I was obviously inspired by the American flag because it’s a recurring theme in my aesthetic but also represents freedom of speech, a right I passionately exercise in my life and in my music.

Leopard print is another recurring theme in my look, which I like to wear because it brings out my animal inside. I hope when people wear my watches they’re reminded to express themselves always and never lose the animal inside themselves.”

For Casio’s part, they praised Ke$ha’s “energy, spirit and style” and said these qualities made her a “perfect partner” for Baby-G watches.  Aimed at teens and young women, the line is sporty and rugged, but also fashionable and fun.

Sofia Vergara has launched her new clothing line Kmart this week.

The star of Modern Family headed to the Astor Place store to show off her fashions and talk style.

“I wanted to create a collection that the normal woman could afford and look sexy and cute without blowing all their funds,” Vergara said.

“I like to wear a lot of sexy clothes, but I also like to be comfortable,” the Colombian born actress said of her personal style. “I like to be fashionable and chic, so I try to mix it up. I like a little color, but I like a little black too.”

The initial collection includes animal print t-shirts, ruched sweater-knit miniskirts, lacy knit dresses and faux leather jackets.

Sofia and her MF costars grabbed lots of awards at the Primetime Emmys last weekend, including Outstanding Comedy Series.

Vergara hits the big screen next year in the Farrelly Brothers bio pic The Three Stooges.

Kat Von D and Jesse James just need to make a decision and stick with it.  Are they split up?  Or are they back together?  They change their minds about as frequently as most people change the baking soda box in the fridge.   They originally announced their break-up back in July, with Jesse blaming the geographic distance between them (he’s based in Texas, she in Los Angeles), and Kat blaming herself.    In August they were not only back together but engaged again.

But change being the only constant, alas, now they are through once again.  Kat spilled the beans on Facebook, saying:

“I am not in a relationship.  And I apologize for all the ‘back and forth’ if it’s caused any confusion.”

Not so much confusion but derision, but um, what?  She explained to People:

“It was clear to me that we were just on two different paths in life.  My friend put it best when he said I could never be more deserving of total, noble love. And as a woman, I think it’s important to know your value and never lose sight of that.”

So basically, Jesse is some kind of a jerk (duh!) and she deserves better.   Tune in next month to see whether she changes her mind. Again.

Jennifer Lopez and Jason Statham try to keep cool in the Miami heat while filming their new movie Parker.

The 42 year-old Lopez had a couple of costume changes that day. She wore a coral dress and a conservative blue skirt and top while 44 year-old Statham has an urban cowboy look going on with blue jacket and pants and later a white shirt with jeans.

Lopez and Statham were both shaded from the sun by assistants carrying umbrellas and in between takes, the actors shared some laughs in the movie set car while waiting for filming to begin.

Lopez has also brought her children to the set and daughter Emme seemed to have charmed her mom’s costar, according to People magazine.

The modern classic Ghostbusters is coming back to theaters in on October 13th, 2011!

WE GOT ONE! Just received word from City Hall that Ghostbusters will return to theaters around the world beginning Thursday, October 13th! For more information directly from the Mayor himself, click below.

The story broke on the official Ghostbusters Facebook page today! I’d love to see this movie in theaters! I was too young to catch it on the first go-around, and I’m always happy to watch this one. This is a great way to test the waters to see how people react to Ghostbusters on the big screen, given the fact that Ghostbusters 3 is in the works. What do you think? Will you go see Ghostbusters next month? How about Ghostbusters 3 in a couple years?
