Skeptics aren’t buying the fact that Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries televised wedding and subsequent 72 day marriage wasn’t a publicity ploy and that angers Kim.

Kardashian, who filed for divorce from Humphries on Monday, tries to set the record straight for all the Doubting Thomas’ that her wedding was not a sham just for television.

“First and foremost, I married for love,” she wrote on her blog. “I can’t believe I even have to defend this. I would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show!”

Kim further states that she did not make money off her nuptials and that all the gifts will be given to charity.

“There are also reports that I made millions of dollars off of the wedding. These reports are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this. I’m so grateful to everyone who took the time to come to my wedding and I’ll be donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation.”

So I guess she didn’t sell the rights to the photos of her wedding for millions or the licensing deal with E! to televise it for millions? She gave it away for free?

Kardashian chalks up the whole experience to “getting caught up with the hoopla” and says she is a “hopeless romantic.”

This is Kim’s second marriage. Her first, when she was just 19, was to record producer Damon Thomas and lasted 4 years.

Dancing With The Stars continues to surprise this season with sending the better dancers home before some of the less-than-stellar performers.

Case in point was this week’s elimination of David Arquette.

The 40 year-old Scream actor was sent off after a pretty entertaining magician themed Halloween dance with pro partner Kym Johnson. Nancy Grace and Hope Solo, who both scored lower (and have done so most weeks of the competition) remain to twirl another week.

“Dancing With The Stars was an experience of a lifetime and it’s something everyone should challenge themselves with because you learn a lot about yourself,” the gracious Arquette said after learning he was the one to go home.

This season, besides Arquette getting the boot earlier than their dancing abilities (and scores) should have gotten them sent home were Kristin Cavallari and Chynna Phillips.

Makes me worried for Ricki Lake and J. R. Martinez.

Justin Bieber debuted his new spiky ‘do while wearing a black leather shirt on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Monday night.

The Biebs chatted about his epic Titanic-viewing Staples Center date with girlfriend Selena Gomez, working with Mariah Carey on his new Christmas album Under the Mistletoe, his new Batmobile car and Someday, his perfume.

“She’s super cool, It was cool because I got to do “All I Want To For Christmas Is You,”he said of collaborating with Carey on her biggest holiday hit.

He continued: “It was tricky. She has super high notes, and it wasn’t like she was going to change the key for me, so I had to go in and do her key. “It was really hard, but we had to make it happen.”

With the successful films of the Twilight franchise coming to a close in 2012, author Stephanie Meyer has another hot property getting ready to hit the big screen.

Andrew Niccol will direct Saoirse Ronan, who has already landed the part of Melanie Stryder, in The Host – a sci-fi/supernatural romance where Melanie’s body becomes a vessel for an alien called a Wanderer.

Now the question is who will get cast as the male leads?

Variety is reporting that among the guys up for the part of Jared (Melanie’s boyfriend) are Liam Hemsworth, Max Irons, Kit Harrington and Jai Courtney. Hemsworth is already part of the super hot property The Hunger Games and all of it’s (very likely) sequels.

The actor’s reading for the part of Ian (the guy who falls for the Wanderer) Dane Dehan, Thomas McDonnell, Jake Abel and Augustus Prew. (Abel has worked with Ronan before in The Lovely Bones directed by Peter Jackson.)

Filming is scheduled to begin in New Mexico and Louisiana in 2012. The studio is targeting a spring 2013 release date.

Heidi Klum and Seal went over to the hairy side of the DNA pool and dressed up as apes for Halloween.

The Project Runway host loves Halloween and throws multiple bashes each year to dress up and celebrate with friends and family.

The pair were hairy, lovey-dovey and virtually unrecognizable at the New York party held at the PH-D Rooftop Lounge at Dream Downtown.

Besides the fur, Heidi was sure to show you she was a girl with her primate boobs on display. You’ve got to love Heidi!

This year, her Las Vegas shindig was held on Saturday night and she arrived on an autopsy gurney as a skinned corpse.

About A Boy Girl…

Hugh Grant has become a first time father and has a little girl!

The 51 year-old actor welcomed his first child at the beginning of October and while he’s no longer with the child’s mother, Grant is reportedly flashing that famous grin at his little girl.

“I can confirm that Hugh Grant is the delighted father of a baby girl,” his rep tells Us. “He and the mother had a fleeting affair and while this was not planned, Hugh could not be happier or more supportive.  He and the mother have discussed everything and are on very friendly terms.”

The identity of the mother was not revealed by Grant’s rep and no other details of the baby’s birth have been released yet.

Grant’s previous high profile relationships have been with Elizabeth Hurley and socialite Jemima Khan.

Grant was considered as a replacement for Charlie Sheen in Two and A Half Men, but reportedly decided against the weekly grind of a TV show.

Instead Grant has signed up for the movie Cloud Atlas with Halle Berry, Tom Hanks and Susan Sarandon.

Scarlett Johansson looks radiant on the December cover of Vanity Fair.

The 26 year-old revealed some info about those infamous hacked nude photos of herself.

“I know my best angles,” she told the magazine.

“They were sent to my husband,” now ex Ryan Reynolds. “There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s not like I was shooting a porno.” She adds saucily, “Although there’s nothing wrong with that either.”

Johansson also talks about the time after her divorce from Reynolds and how ill-at-ease she was.

“I didn’t really know what to do with myself. It was such a strange time. There was nothing that was interesting to me. I had a very public separation. It was difficult. I felt very uncomfortable.”

She also shares that she and director Woody Allen love working with each other, using Purell hand sanitizer and self-diagnosis.

“He shakes a lot of hands,” Johansson explains. “I’ll squirt some [Purell] in my hand and then squirt in his.”

She also has a bizarre penchant for diagnosing him. “The only reason why Woody and I are still friends is because I’ve diagnosed all kinds of his skin tags, lesions, ailments. I’ve prescribed things for Woody that he’s then asked his doctor to prescribe for him.”

Pippa Middleton heads off to work on the first day of November in London but rumor has it, she may add author to her resume.

The 28 year-old socialite has a literary agent, according to reports, and is shopping the idea of a party planning & etiquette book.

Middleton has taken meetings with HarperCollins and other publishing houses, sounding out the offers (and the serious money) for her perfect party hostess tome.

“Pippa is very serious about the project and has been going to meet publishers personally,” a source confided.

“Pippa hasn’t signed a contract yet but I don’t think it will be far off. She is a good writer but I expect she would be offered the services of an experienced ghost writer.”

Pippa has worked on the blog The Party Times for her parent’s mail-order business Party Pieces.

The deal would be extremely lucrative for Middleton if indeed, she does wind up with a contract. International rights, royalties, sequels and possible side projects could net the sister of Kate Middleton quite a large sum.

After last week’s fiery encounter between pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy and judge Len Goodman, everyone was left wondering would a Halloween themed Dancing With The Stars be a trick or a treat?

It was a treat with last week’s “Mad Maks” now a subdued (and almost neutered) werewolf.

This week the celebs and their pro partners had two dances – their normal paired twirl around the floor and a team dance – to earn scores for.

Let’s get down to it…

Ricki Lake: She and partner Derek Hough did a great job as Little Red Riding Hood and the big Bad Wolf. Their paso doble to Beyonce‘s “Sweet Dreams” was fun and energetic. She scored the highest of the night with three 9s plus the team score of 26. 53

David Arquette: David and Kym Johnson were a magician and assistant cha cha cha-ing to the Steve Miller Band‘s “Abracadabra.” Judge Len Goodman remarks that  he “managed to turn yourself into a dancer,” but adding he still needed more rhythm. They scored 24 plus the 23 for the team dance. 47

J. R. Martinez: Martinez and Karina Smirnoff tango-ed to “Ghostbusters” but seemed to have a few missteps along the way. It was good but as the judges noted, something was just slightly off. They were given a 25. Adding it to the team dance score of 23, Martinez ended the night with a 48.

Nancy Grace: Nancy and Tristan McManus tried to jive to the Charlie Daniels Band “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” but it was the wrong song for Grace. It was too fast for her and she missed a number of steps. Bruno Tonioli liked her spirit, not her footwork. She received a 21 for her dance and the 23 for the group effort. 44

Rob Kardashian: With his sister’s divorce announcement leading the gossip yesterday, the Kardashian family was on hand to watch him, except Kim. That being said, he and Cheryl Burke managed a fun tango to “The Addams Family” theme. He ended with a 25 plus the team score of 26. 51

Hope Solo: Maks spent most of the week on the sidelines with a stubbed toe and Hope seemed very happy with her substitute partner but Maksim glowered at the two. Hope and Maks samba’d to Warren Zevon‘s “Werewolves of London” and earned a solid 24 with a 26 for the team dance. 50.

Team Tango: David, J. R. and Nancy – it was a so-so dance with lots of mistakes and never really jelled. 23.

Team Paso Doble: Ricki, Hope and Rob – the group was pretty good and they didn’t make nearly as many mistakes as the other. 26.

Who should go home tonight? Nancy has the lowest score although I am almost hoping Hope – not because she deserves it, but I feel more sorry for her putting up with Maks as time goes on.

The father of Charice Pempengco has been stabbed to death in what appears to be a random grocery store attack in the Philippines.

The Glee star, who plays Sunshine Corazon, was in Singapore set to perform with David Foster but in light of the circumstances, Pempengco has pulled out of the shows.

“I am very sorry to all my fans from Singapore,” she said via twitter. “I am not going to be there to be part of David Foster and Friends concert. I have to go back to the Philippines as soon as possible to be with my family. I hope you all understand. I love you all and I will see you next year.”

Ricky Pempengco was at a store in Laguna, which is south of Manilla, when he brushed against a man who was drunk.

The man became enraged and stabbed the 40 year-old construction worker with an ice pick.

Other customers in the store have identified the man as Angel Capilli, according to the Chief Superintendent Ferdie Kraft, and a reward has been issued for information locating Capilli.

Charice, 19, along with her mother and younger brother, had been estranged from the elder Pempengco for quite some time. He left the family when Charice was a young child.

“I loved him and I will still love him,” the singer tweeted. “He’s still my Dad after all.”
