Jennifer Lopez is the star of a new commercial for the 2012 Fiat 500 by Gucci.   This ultra-luxurious, limited edition of the classic sports car is a co-design project that combines the expertise and style of two iconic Italian companies.  The 500 by Gucci is described as “couture you can drive.” It retails for $23,500.

Lopez appears in the ad, simply titled “Elegance.”  She provides voice over and also lent her song “Until It Beats No More” to the project.

American Idol Ruben Studdard has filed for divorce from Surata Zuri McCants, his wife of three years.

Studdard and McCants met at a WalMart store in Atlanta when he was signing CDs.  They were married in 2008 in Birmingham, Alabama.

His representative issued the following statement:

“Ruben and Zuri have gone their separate ways.”

Studdard’s petition cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Karina Smirnoff stepped out for an evening of celebration at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center Gala.    She was on hand to support her friend and Dancing With The Stars alum Chaz Bono, who was honored with the Board of Directors Award at the event.

Karina looked lovely in an amazing, flowing ivory gown with a peacock print.

Minnie Driver played it pretty safe at the 2011 Museum of Contemporary Art Gala.  She wore a fairly simple blue column gown made a little more interesting with a short train.  I feel like I should hate this dress, given that it looks like wallpaper (come on, tell me it doesn’t), but it works even so.  It’s a great color and cut for her, and that’s honestly most of the battle right there.   You know you’ve got it going on when you can wear a wallpaper dress and make it look good.

But when did Minnie get so skinny?  She’s looking nearly gaunt in the face and arms.

Dita Von Teese wasn’t the only celebrity with a busy party schedule last weekend. Gwen Stefani went straight from the launch of her new collection for Target, Harajuku Mini, to the Museum of Contemporary Art gala.

She wore L.A.M.B. (of course) for the Target launch but for the gala, she chose a really interesting black gown by Carven for the MOCA gala.  Very Japanese inspired, unsurprising for her.  I’m not sure I love the overlapping neckline; it looks like the dress is going to strangle her any second, but I like the side-gathered skirt.  My favorite part, though, is her bright blue shoes – they give just a little pop of color.  Totally Gwen!

Nicole Richie‘s sense of style just keeps getting better as time goes on.  Whether she’s touching down at the airport or walking the red carpet, she always looks amazing.  For the 2011 Museum of Contemporary Art Gala, she chose an embellished mauve gown by British designer Julien Macdonald.

Richie is tiny, and it would be easy for any dress with a lot of detail to overwhelm her.  However, this is just the right amount of funky, fun, and very pretty to boot.  Nicely done.

Demi Moore is filing for divorce from her husband of six years, Ashton Kutcher.

The 49 year-old actress released a statement:

“As a woman, a mother and a wife, there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life,” she said.

After news broke of Kutcher’s alleged affair with 23 year-old coed Sara Leal, Moore and Kutcher have spent time working on their marriage, including a camping trip with a Kabbalah instructor and time at Demi’s ex-husband Bruce Willis‘ vacation home in the Turks and Caicos.

“I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail,” Kutcher tweeted.

Beyonce and Jay-Z‘s marriage was super secret and there was one big detail people wanted to know about – what was her wedding dress like? For a fashion savvy star like Bey, the dress for her April 2008 nuptials would be the epitome of fashionable wedding glory.

For her new video “I Was Here” the ultra private star gives a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it peep at the elusive gown – all white and strapless – among other quick pieces of home video footage of Beyonce’s life.

The star is shown performing for her family and in competitions when she was young, frolicking on a slip-n-slide, playing with her nephew, Destiny’s Child footage and Beyonce meeting and performing with her heros.

The clip is from the new DVD Live at Roseland: Elements of 4 which goes on sale exclusively at Walmart November 21st.

The first full-length trailer for Brave – the Disney Pixar 3D film of Scottish heroine Merida and her journey to find true bravery.

Merida (voiced by Kelly Macdonald) makes a wish from a witch that doesn’t turn out as planned and she confronts tradition, her destiny and a few crazy beasts along the way.

The visuals are lush and gorgeous, as expected and the vocal talent is superb – costarring along with Macdonald are Emma Thompson, Julie Walters, Robbie Coltrane, Craig Ferguson and Billy Connolly.

And of course there is crazy Scotsman mooning the crowd in a kilt – what can I say, it was funny.

Brave will be in theaters June 22, 2012.

Sarah Michelle Gellar talks beauty and confidence boosters for the December issue of Self magazine.

The 34 year-old actress says she doesn’t let how much she does (or doesn’t) weigh rule her attitude.

“You can’t live your life by the scale. We don’t even have one in our house. I’ve never believed in them, because your weight fluctuates. It’s more about how my clothing fits than a number,” Gellar says. “Besides, if you deny yourself everything because you’re so focused on the mirror or the scale, then when do you get to enjoy life?”

Gellar, mother of 2 year-old Charlotte Grace and wife of Freddie Prinze Jr., reveals that even though she’s got a new hit show on The CW, her work on Ringer isn’t as all-encompassing of her life the way that the 16-hour days and lots of weekends were when she starred on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

“My perspective on work has changed: Work doesn’t define who I am,” Gellar confided. “I love what I do, but I don’t feel a burning pressure anymore. And because I’m working for fun, I get to enjoy it!”
