Brad Pitt Says He’s Going To Retire At Age 50 But Might Have More Kids With Angelina Jolie
Brad Pitt says his days as a leading man are numbered.
The 47 year-old is thinking of retiring from acting by the age of 50 and perhaps dabbling more in the behind-the-scenes areas of filmmaking.
“Three years,” he told the Australian version of 60 Minutes. “Hell if I know [what I'll do next]. I’m really enjoying the producorial side and development of stories, and putting those pieces together, and getting those stories to the plate that might have had a tougher time otherwise.”
Pitt also said his children with partner Angelina Jolie influence the projects he picks. The father of six – Maddox, 10, Pax, 7, Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 3 years-old – wants his kids to be proud of their dad.
“If I’m choosing a film now, I want it to be maybe less immature than things I’ve done in the past. I’m very conscious they’re going to see it when they’re adults. I want it to mean something to them. I want them to think dad’s alright. It changes everything. Everything. And it’s so damn interesting,” Pitt said.
While he isn’t happy about the level of attention his family gets (“It’s the only thing I get hot about, that I’m ready to fight about,” he told the program,) the Moneyball actor knows his kids have a life of privilege that he’s happy they get to experience and says there is a possibility of more Jolie-Pitt offspring in the future.
“I don’t know that we’re finished. I don’t know yet. I don’t know,” he said.
