Demi Moore might not be the first person you think of when you hear the words “women’s rights,” but that’s all going to change with her next movie role.  She’s confirmed to play feminist icon Gloria Steinem in the Linda Lovelace biopic, Lovelace.

Steinem crossed paths with Lovelace in 1983 when she wrote a piece on the adult entertainment industry for Ms.  In The Real Linda Lovelace, Steinem described how the actress was forced by her husband Chuck Traynor into pornography, and her efforts to rebuild her life after she left the industry.

Lovelace will be played by Amanda Seyfried, and Traynor by Peter Sarsgaard.  Other confirmed cast members include Hank Azaria, James Franco and Sharon Stone.  The movie is currently filming in Los Angeles.
