Courteney Cox & ‘Cougar Town’ Get A Fourth Season On TBS
The wine will continue to flow but ABC will have nothing to do with it.
Cougar Town is getting a new home and moving to TBS after this season.
Courteney Cox and company spent three years on ABC and while it never garnered huge ratings, it became a cult favorite that had fans upset when the network put it on a long hiatus and changed it’s time slot to Tuesdays.
As part of the deal, the fourth season will air in early 2013 and TBS gets the rerun rights to the 61 episodes already aired.
“‘Cougar Town’ is a smart, whimsical sitcom that draws its humor from likable, relatable characters” Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TBS, said in a statement. “We are thrilled to have ‘Cougar Town’ moving to the TBS neighborhood as the network continues to expand its slate of original comedy series.”
The actors were thrilled with the reprieve too.
“So happy we get to continue making our show!” Cox tweeted. “We cannot thank you all enough for your support. Seriously, guys. THANK YOU.”
Cougar Town fans rejoice!
