Dominic Monaghan fired off a short but terse reply to a Matthew Fox fan on twitter that alleges Fox has physically beaten women.

The fan asked Monaghan to “holla at Matthew Fox and tell him to get a Twitter.”

Monaghan, 35, revealed he wasn’t about to ask his former Lost costar for anything: “He beats women. No thanks.”

When the fan responded with “I know it was wrong but what?! what about all the good times you had!?!” The Lord of the Rings actor didn’t shrink away from his original statement.

“How do you know we ever did? You don’t know either of us. He beats women. Not isolated incidents. Often. Not interested,” Monaghan said.

Monaghan also told off anyone who said he’d be sued.

“An accusation is when you ‘claim’ someone did something wrong. I know,” he wrote. “And it’s very difficult to sue someone for speaking the truth.”

Fox, 45, has had, shall we say, a bumpy ride lately.

He allegedly had an affair with a stripper, has been pulled over for suspicion of DUI and was involved in an incident last year where he was intoxicated and reportedly struck a female party bus driver.

Fox has not responded to Monaghan’s statements.
