Jena Malone Confirmed As Johanna Mason in ‘The Hunger Games’ Sequel ‘Catching Fire’

Panem’s Johanna Mason has been found.

Jena Malone is the latest, official name to be added to The Hunger Games second movie, Catching Fire.

The 27 year-old takes on the role of Johanna, a fan favorite, who is among the past tributes chosen for the Quarter Quell from Disctrict 7. The tough, axe-wielding gal from the lumber rich area of Panem is a previous winner who finds herself back for the anniversary games.

Malone joins Philip Seymour Hoffman, who has been cast as Plutarch Heavensbee and Amanda Plummer taking the role of Wiress.

Malone was most recently seen in the History Channel mini series The Hatfields & The McCoys with Kevin Costner.

Finnick Odair is the last major casting addition to be announced but the rumored front-runner is Snow White & The Huntsman actor Sam Clafin.
