Justin Bieber kicked off his Believe tour last night with an unexpected, off-script moment: The pop star vomited on stage during the show.

In front of 18,000 fans at Jobing Arena (Glendale, AZ), Bieber threw up twice during his 21-song set.   The show must go on, however, and he took his illness in stride.  Returning to the stage after his second puke, he told the audience:

“It’s hard for me, you know, not feeling great and throwing up in front of a bunch of people.  Will you love me even though I’m throwing up on stage?  OK, I wanted to give you my best show ever, so do you mind if I finish it?”

Bieber dedicated last night’s performance (puke and all?) to his six-year old fan, Avalanna Routh, who suffered from a rare brain cancer.  Routh, who passed away last week, was known to Beliebers as “Mrs. Bieber” after photos of her pretend wedding to the star hit the internet.

The tour continues to Las Vegas tonight, followed by stops in California and the Pacific Northwest before continuing up to Bieber’s native Canada.
