Amanda Seyfried was a study in red at the 16th Annual Hollywood Film Awards Gala on Monday night.  She wore a red tea-length dress with a corset style bodice and a full skirt, and red lipstick to match.  Super cute!

The Hollywood Film Awards is the first event of awards season, but it’s decidedly more low-key than some of the big shows.  The awards were “created to honor excellence in the art of filmmaking.” The difference between this awards show and the Oscars is that the competitors in each category are selected by a committee, rather than nominated.  While they consider films released during the calendar year, there are some categories that are awarded based on an individual’s body of work.
