Deadbeat Dad Michael Lohan Finally Claims Responsibility For 17 Year Old Love Child

Michael Lohan

There’s always a new chapter in the Lohan family drama.   Michael Lohan has been revealed as the father of a Montana teenager.

The girl, Ashley Kaufmann, is the love child of a fling between Lohan and Kristi Horn Kaufmann; the pair dated during a “break” in his marriage to Dina Lohan.   Citing the “other men besides me” in Kristi’s life, Michael refused to recognize Ashley as his child or provide financial support.  Fed up, Kristi took her story to The Trisha Goddard Show, where a positive paternity test was announced on Thursday.

Upon learning the results, Michael tried to hug his new-found daughter, but she resisted, saying, “No…This is the first time I’ve met you. I’m sorry but I’m not sure…” and noting that she didn’t “want to be a part of what they’ve called the Lohan train wreck.”

(Smart girl.  I mean, really, how proud would you be to learn that Lindsay Lohan was your half-sister?)

Now that he can’t really deny it any longer, Michael says he’s ready to step up to the plate.

“I apologized to [Ashley]… We’re having and will have a good relationship. I’ve spoken to her four times since (filming the segment) last week.”

The Daily News reports that Michael is “100% happy” with the results and has already talked with the child support enforcement agency in Montana to arrange a settlement.

I’m thinking this the same Michael Lohan love child who surfaced back in 2008, and if it took mom four years to get him to take responsibility, here’s hoping he has been shamed enough to stand by his word.
