Chad Lowe is celebrating happy news this week.  His wife, Kim Painter, gave birth to their second child on Thursday, November 15.

The new bundle of joy is a girl, as Lowe revealed via Twitter:

It’s a girl!!! And she’s as beautiful as her mommy  & big sister Mabel!! We are blessed!

The couple’s first child, Mabel (3 1/2) was born in 2009; they were married a little over a year later in 2010.

Last week, Lowe told People how they were prepping little Mabel for her sibling’s arrival.  He said:

“We’ve been introducing her to the concept and she seems to be very excited.  She knows she’s got a big job and a lot of things to teach her sibling.”
