Taylor Swift + Harry Styles: The Ultimate Pop Music Romantic Mash-Up?

Harry Styles of One DirectionTaylor Swift

Looks like Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy are truly never, ever getting back together.  The pop singer is rumored to have hooked up with One Direction‘s Harry Styles.

The new couple were spotted holding hands and getting cozy at rehearsals for Swift’s X Factor performance last week.  Judge Mario Lopez reported that he saw them holding hands:

“During rehearsals, Harry from One Direction came and slapped me on the back, and said, ‘Hey, Mario, how ya doing?’ And I said, ‘What are you doing here?’ And he sort of [pointed] toward Taylor.  [They] walked off hand in hand.

“So Taylor Swift and Harry from One Direction — you heard it here first. [They're] officially hanging out, I can say that much.”

Another on-set  observer told E!:

“He watched her onstage going through her performance. He was sitting with her mom and the rest of her entourage.  After she finished, he went up to the stage…He picked her up and threw her over his shoulder and carried her off.”

Ah, chivalry.

This is really not too much of a surprise.   Taylor likes the dark-haired boys with soulful eyes; her ex-boyfriend roster is chock-full of them.  But it surely won’t be long before she starts getting death threats from 1D fans.  She’ll have to decide whether it’s worth it (Selena Gomez did).  Then again, just think of the song writing material!   If this relationship doesn’t work out, we can expect to see lots of not-so-veiled references to this romance on both Swift’s and 1D’s next albums.
