Call Me Maybe singer Carly Rae Jepsen chose a classic red carpet look for the 2012 American Music Awards. She wore a backless halter gown with a low, low V-neck by London designer Gomez-Gracia.  This is not a dress I would have chosen for her – I think it’s a bit too mature – but the pale pink color and tons and tons of sequins keep it from aging her.

Jepsen scored the Favorite New Artist award at the AMAs, beating out J. Cole, fun., Gotye and the boys from One Direction.
