Cecil Singleton, the second young man to claim a teenage sexual hook-up with Sesame Street puppeteer Kevin Clash, has revealed graphic and specific details about their alleged relationship.  At a press conference on Tuesday, Singleton clarified exactly what happened during their brief, two-week fling when he was 15 and Clash was 32.

“[There was] groping, masturbation, and just a lot of intense kissing, touching, that kind of thing. Dry humping.  But we did not have sex and it’s imperative to note that.

“I just remember telling myself that he seemed to really like me and… let me spare him now because I know that I can’t do this.  If I had to make an educated guess and say if we had stayed together we more than likely would have had sex at that age.”

Evidently the two reconnected sometime later, when Singleton was an adult, and at that time they did do the deed.

According to the complaint filed with the court, Singleton is only coming forward now because it was only this year that he became “aware that he had suffered adverse psychological and emotional effects from Kevin Clash’s sexual acts and conduct.”

This guy’s credibility is already in question, at least in my mind, due to two telling “typos” in his court papers.  His original filing claimed that he was 15 years old in 1993 when he hooked up with Clash.   That would make him now 34 years old.  However, his attorney later filed corrected documents, saying that the alleged abuse occurred in 2003, which would make Singleton 24.   So either he hired the lamest attorney ever – one who can’t afford a decent legal secretary – or the whole thing is a scam.   A little too harsh?  I’m just saying that if something like this is important enough to bring a $5M lawsuit – and if it’s true, then it is VERY important – it’s important enough to proofread the documents before filing.
