Fergie want you to live life to the fullest, and she’s fixin’ to do that by offering a new fragrance to her product line.  Viva, her second fragrance with Avon, was introduced in a limited launch on Cyber Monday.  (Don’t worry, it will be officially available in February 2013.)  What’s this new perfume all about?  Fergie told Elle it’s not just a scent, but a mindset, specifically one about being a powerful businesswoman.  (I wonder if that’s what all the suits in the ad above represent?)

“Viva is very fresh, very cool, and it’s meant to be a wake-up call to embrace the power women have within themselves. It’s about taking charge and really taking life by the horns.”

The singer explained why she chose the name Viva (which variously means alive, lively, pure, clever and also a yell or a cheer) for her fragrance.

“Because it’s about living! First of all, it’s a nod to my Latin friends around the world, because obviously “Viva” is Spanish. And Viva is about embracing your life and making your own set of rules—creating your path and owning it.”

Viva’s fragrance notes include mint, lavender, florals, cool herbs and vetiver.  Fergie says it has a hint of leather in it too, to add “a bit of rock ‘n’ roll to it.”
