This Was Not Lindsay Lohan’s Day: Arrested In NYC, Charged In CA
Just when you think Lindsay Lohan can’t dig herself any deeper, she amazes us all with her ability to work that shovel. The troubled actress (can we still call her that?) was arrested in New York early Thursday morning for punching a woman in the face in a Meatpacking District nightclub. Hours later, she was charged with three misdemeanors related to her June car crash in Santa Monica. What can you say, she likes keeping defense attorneys in business.
Lohan was partying in the VIP area of Avenue (a club from which she was once banned) when she felt crowded by Tiffany Ava Mitchell, a Palm Beach psychic . (Sources say she may have already been pissed that she wasn’t getting the attention she felt she deserved from Max George of The Wanted, who was also partying at the club.) Lilo reportedly yelled, “I need space,” shoved and then punched Mitchell. (Couldn’t she see it coming? OK, bad psychic joke.) 911 was called, but Lohan tried to slip out the back door before police arrived. Mitchell pointed her out to police, who arrested her at 4:00 am. She was booked, charged with third-degree assault and released about four hours later, and is due in court on January 7.
Lindsay Lohan: Headed Back To The Pokey For Lying About Car Crash?
Despite his client’s recent spate of arrests, attorney Mark Jay Heller says she’s the victim. He said:
“Once again, Lindsay Lohan is a victim of someone trying to capture their 15 minutes of fame. From my initial investigation, I am completely confident that this case will be concluded favorably and that Lindsay will be totally exonerated.”
Meanwhile, on the other coast, Lohan was brought up on three misdemeanor charges for lying to Santa Monica police in June about who was driving her Porsche when it crashed into a dump truck. She told them her assistant was behind the wheel, but earlier this month, investigators found evidence indicating that Lohan was the one driving. Now she’s charged with obstructing an investigation, giving false information to a police officer and reckless driving. The Wall Street Journal says that Lohan’s California attorney Shawn Holley did not comment.
Lindsay Lohan Scuffle With Congressional Staffer Results In No Charges
Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner will decide whether either or both of these incidents violates Lilo’s probation for some of her past bad behavior. She warned Lohan back in March (when she was in court for – surprise! – probation violation) that she could land herself in jail for as long as 245 days if she didn’t shape up.
Four misdemeanor charges in one day. Is that a record? Just keep digging that hole…..
