Supermodel Naomi Campbell has reportedly been injured in a mugging that allegedly took place in Paris sometime in December.

The 42 year-old catwalk stunner was hailing a cab when a group of men violently attacked her, robbing her and causing Campbell a torn ligament in her leg, needing a wheelchair to get around. According to friends, she may have been targeted for the valuable jewelry she was wearing at the time.

Campbell’s boyfriend, Russian businessman Vladimir Doronin, took the British beauty to Vail, Colorado where he arranged a visit to an orthopedic surgeon. He also beefed up security to keep her safe.

There are conflicting reports whether Campbell reported the mugging to French authorities and her spokesperson will not comment but the model was reached by phone.

“I am sorry, I do not talk to press, but I am fine,” she told the NY Post.
