‘The Walking Dead’ Season 3 Poster – The Governor Looms Behind Rick Grimes

The Walking Dead poster Rick Grimes & The Governor

Menacing and with one eye damaged beyond repair, the Governor (David Morrissey) looms over Sheriff Rick Grimes’ (Andrew Lincoln) shoulder in the new poster for The Walking Dead.

‘An Eye For An Eye’ is the tagline as the Governor looks to exact his revenge on The Grimes Gang, Michonne (Danai Gurira) and Dixon brothers Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Merle (Michael Rooker).

While the behind-the-scenes drama has seen two showrunners (Frank Darabont and Glen Mazzara) depart, Mazzara is remaining for post-production on the second half of this season but there are lots of threads to tie up. Which side will Andrea (Laurie Holden) take? Will Rick’s struggle with post-traumatic stress and survivors guilt continue to take it’s toll on his sanity ? Will Carl (Chandler Riggs) and Herschel (Scott Wilson) try to reign in Rick as he loses his grip on reality?

With his group in tatters, his sanity in question, and his own son questioning his every move, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) must somehow pull everyone together to face their greatest challenge — the Governor (David Morrissey).  In order to survive, he must risk everything, including the group’s very humanity.

The show airs at 9pm on AMC Network and it returns on Sunday, February 10th.
