Jessica Simpson Is Making A New TV Show About – What Else? – Herself

Jessica Simpson isn’t letting a little thing like pregnancy slow her down.  The entertainment businesswoman extraordinaire is adding another item to her portfolio:  sitcom scriptwriter.

Jessica Simpson Squeezes Into Her Halloween Costume

Yes, as though it’s not enough to have multiple clothing and accessory collections, perfume, jewelry and lord knows what else, Simpson is developing a TV show based on her life.  Not a reality show, though; she’s already been there, done that with Nick Lachey.  Nope, this is going to be ripped from her own headlines.  Jess says:

“I often find myself thinking that no one could ever make up the things that actually happen in my life – so between the real-life elements and a great team of writers, I think we’ll have people laughing!”

Let’s imagine the synopsis of the first season:  plan wedding, get pregnant, whoops!  Postpone wedding.  Give birth to baby, lose tons of weight, whoops!  Pregnant again.  Sign multi-million dollar contract for some stuff, go on TV, walk red carpet, earn more money, walk another red carpet, tweet all about it.    Wow.  Now there’s some laughs.

But look: even if you’re not Jessica Simpson’s biggest fan, you have to hand it to her:  she knows how to hustle.  She will never NOT have a job.  Papa Joe taught her well…
