Lindsay Lohan’s Fired Attorney Enters ‘Not Guilty’ Plea On Her Behalf

Lindsay Lohan and Shawn Holley

Lindsay Lohan should be thanking her lucky stars that her attorney Shawn Holley is a decent person.  Despite being fired by the erratic star on Monday, Holley appeared in court on her behalf on Tuesday.  She plead “not guilty” to charges that Lohan lied to cops about her June car accident in Santa Monica.

It was a big-hearted thing to do considering Lilo sent a letter to Holley stating that she was being replaced by New York attorney Mark Heller.  Heller is representing Lohan in the matter of her punching a woman in a NYC nightclub in November.  However, he’s not licensed to practice law in California, so he can’t appear with her in court on any of her matters in this state.  Lohan supposedly sent another letter to Holley un-firing her, and Holley told the judge yesterday that she’s still her lawyer “at this point.”  This all despite Lindsay’s unpaid legal bills that amount to over $300,000.  Ouch.

Meanwhile, the case goes forward.  Commissioner Jane Godfrey has set a pre-trial hearing for January 30th, and a trial date for February 27.  Lohan is required to appear in person on both of those dates.  We’ll see what happens….
