The back-to-school campaign for Madonna and her daughter Lourdes‘ Material Girl clothing line has a new face: Georgia May Jagger.

Jagger is the 20 year-old daughter of rock legend Sir Mick Jagger and model Jerry Hall.

“To be handpicked by Madonna and Lola [Lourdes] as the new face of Material Girl is truly amazing,” Jagger told WWD.

Jagger follows previous spokesmodels Kelly Osbourne and Taylor Momsen as young celebs handpicked by the mother-daughter fashion team to be the face of the juniors line.

The photo shoot has already taken place in New York City and the new ads will debut this summer.

MG is currently sold exclusively at Macy’s in the US and The Bay in Canada. It will be sold in Asia and Europe beginning this summer.

Georgia’s gorgeousness is currently on display in the Hudson Jeans campaign and she stars in Rimmel London cosmetics print and TV ads.

Quietly and without much fanfare, The Big Bang Theory‘s Jim Parsons has revealed he’s gay.

Parsons, 39, plays Sheldon Cooper in the hit CBS show but is also starring in the Broadway show Harvey, as Elwood P. Dowd – the role Jimmy Stewart made famous in the 1950s movie about a man and his 6ft invisible rabbit.

While being profiled in the New York Times about the current version of the play, Parsons dropped the personal info.

“Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship, and working with an ensemble again onstage was like nourishment, he said,”  writer Patrick Healy made plain.

While his partner is not named in the article, after his big Emmy win, Parsons thanked Todd Spiewak, who many sites identify as Parsons love. It is also rumored that Parsons and Spiewak are engaged.

Actor Michael McKean is being treated for a broken leg and facial lacerations after he was hit by a car while walking in Manhattan.

McKean, 64, who is best known for his roles in This Is Spinal Tap, Best In Show and Laverne & Shirley, was hit as a car jumped the curb which witnesses report as going out of control. McKean was knocked to the ground and was coughing up blood.

“He has sustained multiple injures and we are trying to find out the extent of other injuries,” his manager, Harriet Sternberg told the New York Post.

McKean is starring in the revival of the Gore Vidal play The Best Man and is forced to miss his first curtain call in his career.

“He’s upset about missing his curtain,” Sternberg said.

“He’s never missed a performance in his career.”

His wife, actress Annette O’Toole, is flying back from Los Angeles to be with her husband at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital while he recuperates.

The fall will bring a new season of Dancing With The Stars but unlike other casts, this time we’ve already seen their fancy footwork.

Season 15 is confirmed to be an DWTS All-Stars with returning contestants ready to rumba, cha-cha and tango across your screens but one former hopeful is not really all that welcome, according to behind-the-scenes sources.

Reality star Kate Gosselin is going to be asked, but held on the back burner because the source told HollywoodLife.com that she was reviled by many who worked on the show.

“They are going to ask Kate but hope they don’t have to use her as the cast and crew hated her,” the insider said. “She would be a last resort.”

This seems silly to me. There is no possible way DWTS could be hard up for returning talent that they would even consider asking her, even if it’s just to have extra people “on deck” just in case.

There are so many people who were contenders that will be happy to be back, this just sounds so untrue or a lame publicity stunt.

F Scott Fitzgerald and his classic The Great Gatsby is coming to the big screen courtesy of director Baz Lurhmann with the first trailer giving us a glimpse at the lush visuals the director went for in this modern adaptation.

With flappers and fireworks, manicured lawns, falling confetti and Model-Ts; cast Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan are reeling in the decadence of 1920s New York.

Lurhmann, who reunites with DiCaprio (the pair first worked together 17 years ago in Romeo + Juliet) uses 3D and a contemporary soundtrack (welcome Jay-Z and Kanye West‘s “No Church In The Wild”) to propel you through the dizzying light of Jay Gatsby (DiCaprio) Nick Carraway (Maguire) and Daisy Buchanan (Mulligan).

Athletes train day in and day out, not just physically, but mentally preparing themselves for the big game. It’s tough, demanding and requires an immense amount of time and effort but for hurdling star Lori ‘Lolo’ Jones, she says there is one thing that is even harder: remaining a virgin.

The 29 year-old Christian and 2012 London Summer Olympics hopeful said she is committed to abstaining from pre-marital sex, despite the enormous pressures otherwise.

“It’s just not something I believe in. It’s just something, a gift I want to give my husband,” Jones told interviewer Mary Carillo on HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumble. “But please understand that this journey has been hard. There are virgins out there and I’m going to let them know, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. Harder than training for the Olympics. Harder than graduating from college has been to stay a virgin before marriage..”

“I’ve been tempted, I’ve had plenty of opportunities.”

Jones added: “It was cute when I was 22, 24…. [At] 24 to 29 it’s not cute. You get judged a lot, a lot of guys won’t return your calls after they find out.”

Jones has told fans she’s struggling to find the right guy.

“I don’t have a hard time finding dates but hard finding the right one to date,” she tweeted last month.

Jones may be having trouble finding the right guy, but she is also looking for something else: redemption. She was the favorite in the 2008 Bejing Summer Olympics but snagged the final hurdle and stumbled.

Good luck to Lolo on both fronts! I hope she is able to find happiness and take that gold medal.

In a season of very strong competition and amazing dancing, Dancing With The Stars crowned it’s season 14 champ last night.

Donald Driver takes the win over his two other very capable and incredibly talented contestants: William Levy and Katherine Jenkins.

The football star, who can now add a Mirror Ball trophy to his Super Bowl ring, received an almost perfect score of 89 for the last two night of the competition.

With his partner Peta Murgatroyd, the two danced a country-themed freestyle and a cha-cha that earned high marks from judge Len Goodman.

“We’ve had some great footballers on the show over the years,” said the judge, praising him. “My feeling is, you are the best we’ve had.”

Driver’s life has been inspirational. He was born in Houston where he and his mother and siblings were homeless throughout much of his childhood. He battled drugs but turned his life around and was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 1999. He went on to win Super Bowl XLV with the Packers.

Note to future competitors: athletes have won 50% of the trophies. If you are a celebrity trying to get in on the mirror ball win, you should get in shape now!

Whipping out their “inner goddess,” for MTV, Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron gamely tackle a quick, impromptu reading of S&M saga Fifty Shades of Grey.

The E. L. James novel, which was born out of the fan fiction inspired by Twilight characters Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, has the women of Snow White & The Huntsman taking on the steamy passages and getting into the spirit of it. (Bonus points to Charlize for her extra gusto on some of the phrasing!)

Chris Hemsworth was adorable but not so willing to try out the “mommy porn” tome and laughed while pushing it away. “I’m not even touching that!” he told After Hours interviewer Josh Horowitz.

Sam Claflin got a bit flustered when he was asked what he liked about erotica.

But it was Stewart who had the best observation about where people read the book.

“I’ve seen people read this on airplanes. And I’m always like, ‘Ewww. Take that blanket off your lap you freak,’” Stewart says.

Drama follows Whitney Houston‘s legacy and family.

Houston’s rumored ex-boyfriend Ray J was in Las Vegas on Sunday for the 2012 Billboard Music Awards and to watch the tribute to Whitney but things went awry shortly after.

Before the show even began, Houston’s sister-in-law and former manager, Pat Houston had uniformed security try to remove Ray J, who was seated behind the family.

Pat was informed that Ray J would not comply but they could forcibly remove him, causing lots of unwanted attention. Pat decided to allow Ray J to stay and avoid the possible ruckus. He was able to witness the Jordin Sparks/John Legend musical number and Bobbi Kristina‘s emotional speech while accepting the Millenium Award for her late mother.

He hosted a launch party at Rio Hotel & Casino for Prince Reigns (a hair-care product he is endorsing) after he left the Billboard Awards and went to his hotel room at the end of the evening.

It was shortly after the ceremony that Ray J’s pals noticed something was wrong with the singer.

Early Monday morning a friend realized he wasn’t coherent and was extremely disoriented. Ray J was taken to a Las Vegas area hospital where he is currently resting and recuperating.

Ray J’s rep says the singer is just overwrought from his very hectic travel and business schedule. He is being treated for “exhaustion and jet lag” and will remain in the care of medical professionals at the hospital.

Turns out, Brandy Norwood‘s little brother was in China just before the Awards and when he landed in the U.S., he drove 4 hours to get to Las Vegas and the Houston tribute and squabble, which all took it’s toll on Ray J.

Hugh Laurie and company took a final bow last night as FOX and creator David Shore ended House, the drama after 8 seasons of medical mysteries, stellar guest stars, misanthropic views of human nature and generally messing with people’s heads.

The question of the night would be, is there hope (and a life) for Dr. House?

When the title of the show is “Everybody Dies” and it’s the series finale, you have some expectations; trepidations, even, of how a show might end but this is House after all.
