Kate Gosselin loves to cook healthy meals for her family, but despite her recent family struggles, the publisher of her newest cookbook hasn’t postponed its release. However, that might soon be changing. Christian publishing house Zondervan is still advertising a November release for “Love is in the Mix: Making Meals into Memories“, but will “work with Kate to reassess the schedule for her next book.”

Tim Penning - an assistant professor of communications at Grand Valley State University in Michigan- has predicted the publisher will most likely still postpone the cookbook’s release:

“It would be a fine line for them to try to sell this book with the kind of revelations that have happened,” he told USA Today. “I think the public generally understands that it was a good idea, but times have changed. Zondervan has to think about not just this product, but their brand and their reputation. They should also be thinking about Jon and Kate, too.”

I have to agree- this book is about making happy family memories over the dinner table, meanwhile, as this book was written, the author’s family was falling apart. They need to be ministering to the family- the book can be sold later.

This season of The Bachelorette has been such a snore. Jillian Harris is nothing special, and the guys have all accused each other of having girlfriends and bad intentions over and over again. Last night’s episode was wacked out, with Ed (who supposedly left the show for his career) making a return, and Jake flying to Wes’ hometown to accuse him of having a girlfriend named Laurel. It was all so staged and ridiculous.

Anyway, that being said, we have some spoilers for you that are actually pretty decent.

#1- Kypton Locke doesn’t win, but he has signed on to be the next Bachelor.

#2- Regarding Ed: The rumors circulating are that a girl that he was dating who believed she was his
girlfriend is pretty upset at what has transpired with him on
The Bachelorette. This girl couldn’t get a hold of Ed for a bit when he left for “Texas” (i.e. Spain and Hawaii). An email was sent asking “So I guess we’re seeing other people now” and Ed said “No, I just need to wait until this show is over.” According to sources, this Chicago
girlfriend of Ed’s is apparently under the assumption they are still together and she just has to wait out the show.

#3- While Wes Hayden may be a complete d-bag, he is getting at least partially hosed as far as editing goes. His comments about girlfriends and “tasting” fame are taken largely out of context. Regardless, Wes goes home next week.

So did Ed really leave the show to go back to this girl, who he then left again to be with Jillian on the show? With Kypton & Wes out of the running, that only leaves Reid and Ed with a chance to be with her in the end. How jacked up will it be if Jillian chooses Ed in the end, and HE is the one with the girlfriend all along?

Dancing with the Stars professional Cheryl Burke sure found herself a hottie! She has been in a relationship with Abercrombie model Maxwell Zagorski for several months, and now she is opening up about how he keeps her in shape- literally.

“He loves to go to the gym and he motivates me, so it’s a good relationship we have!” Burke told reporters. “He’s a model and so he needs to keep his body in shape, as well.”

Duh… if your boyfriend looks like that, you better be in good shape, too!!

“I’m at the studio teaching a lot but my boyfriend is a health freak, so we go to the gym about like five, six times a week,” said Burke… “I’m on the treadmill running a lot and we do lots of weight training.”

But their relationship doesn’t completely revolve around the gym (thank goodness). They aren’t the typical Hollywood couple- they love just being at home with each other.

“We’re just homebodies,” Burke said, adding that romance is as simple as just being together and hanging out. “We like to watch movies. I like to stay at home. He loves to cook. And we just watch movies and we eat at home.”

Good for you, girl! That should show all those critics of her body who gets the last laugh. She’s the most “real” looking girls on the show, and yet she has the most gorgeous man of any of them! A healthy lifestyle can really bring a couple together in a way that hitting the bars, drinking, and eating trash just doesn’t.

She may have come in third on Dancing with the Stars, and second on The Bachelor, but Melissa Rycroft is in first place with Tye Strickland, as the gorgeous duo were engaged on June 26th. The cutie All-American girl announced the big news on GMA this morning.

Strickland, who was a frequent audience member during Rycroft’s season eight Dancing stint, popped the question to the Dallas beauty at White’s Chapel in Southlake, Texas. The couple later joined their respective parents for a celebratory meal at the Brio Tuscan Grille before heading out later in the evening to a reception with more family and close friends. No wedding date has been set.

Melissa and Tye had previously been great friends and dated before her stint on The Bachelor. After d-bag Jason Mesnick dumped her on national tv, she found comfort in Tye’s big, beautiful arms.

We are SO happy for Melissa! Tye is such a hot, hunky beefcake- Jason Mesnick, eat your heart out!

There has already been a leak in The Bachelorette ending- Kypton Locke (who is considered a favorite to win Jillian Harris‘ heart) has reportedly already signed on as the next Bachelor. If that’s true and we follow previous circumstances, it probably means he came in second place.

Personally, I am ready for the cycle of all these rejected suitors getting another chance to go away. Why can’t we just get a regular dude that’s never been on tv before and give him a shot? It’s becoming so incestual! Bradley Womack doesn’t choose Deanna Pappas, so she’s The Bachelorette. Deanna Pappas doesn’t pick Jason Mesnick, so he’s The Bachelor. Weirdo Jillian Harris comes in third place after some wacked out situations, and she gets to be The Bachelorette… And now one of her rejectees gets his turn?

This is becoming quite ridiculous. There are thousands of quality bachelors out there that actually deserve at shot at this.

Snarky lead judge for Dancing with the Stars- Len Goodman- has revealed his recent battle with prostate cancer. He had surgery last month to remove a cancerous tumor in his prostate gland.

“I’ve had the surgery now. Everything’s gorgeously good,” Goodman told The Mail.  “I’ll be back in September for sure.”

He said the cancer was discovered in March in the midst of filming Dancing, but waited until the season wrapped to have the surgery performed.

“I could have said sorry and not done the show, but the doctors felt I wasn’t riddled with it and it wasn’t so far advanced that it was a life-or-death scenario,” he told The Mail. “It takes a few weeks to get everything set up for the operation anyway, so I went ahead and did the show. I had the surgery done as soon as I got back from America.”

Now Goodman has taken it upon himself to advocate middle-aged men getting regularly tested. They found the cancer early enough in him that it was treatable and he should be fine, and he wants that for others.

“As long as you get checked up every year, then medicine is such now that if you do get something, then hopefully they can catch it early and you have a good chance,” he told The Mail. “I think that’s the most important thing — men of a certain age should have their check-up every year.”

We are so happy to make this a happy report and that Len is recovering well and doing fine. Obviously, early detection is so important in these situations. We wish him the speediest of recoveries!!

Former American Idol finalist Syesha Mercado has landed the role of Denna Jones in the national tour of Dreamgirls. The revival is slated to begin November 7 at New York’s Apollo Theatre and then stop in Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Chicago, Boston, Columbus, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Costa Mesa, Cincinnati and Philadelphia.

Mercado finished third during Idol’s seventh season last spring, and after her ouster she made it clear that acting onstage was something she’d be interested in… “I want to make an album.  I want to star in a film.  I want to do Broadway.  I want to open up an organic restaurant, and like a lupus foundation, homeless foundation,” she told reporters in May 2008.

Syesha is amazingly talented and we offer the biggest congratulations to her for landing this role! What an awesome opporunity for her… Hopefully she also gets to open an organic restaurant and those great charities, too. This girl’s got some slammin’ dreams!

A pregnant- and barely showing- Kendra Wilkinson married her NFL wide receiver hottie, Hank Baskett, at the Playboy mansion Saturday night.

At around 6:45 p.m., the Playmate and former Girls Next Door star, 24, walked down the aisle in a white dress, dripping in more than $100,000 worth of platinum jewelry by Michael Barin, including drop earrings, a pendant and bracelet. The groom also wore white, as did the groomsmen, while the bridesmaids were in lavender.

Hundreds of guests attended the lavish festivities, including ex-boyfriend, Hugh Hefner, and former co-star, Bridget Marquardt, who was in the wedding party.

The nuptials and most of the details were no surprise, as Kendra has publicly discussed everything having to do with them for months. I don’t get her obsession with lavender, but I’m sure she somehow made the ugliest color on earth beautiful.

Congrats to the gorgeous newlyweds!!!

The Idols Live Tour is coming up, so Adam Lambert was out dishing about his future after American Idol. He spoke about the big names he’s working with in the business to get his album together, what he’s most excited about for the tour, and what’s it been like since he announced publicly that he was gay. Here’s the scoop:

… his upcoming album: I am so excited! I think it’s going to come out in November. We haven’t found a title yet. And I’m working with RedOne — he’s an incredible producer who did Lady Gaga’s hit material. I’m working with Linda Perry, with Greg Wells, with Ryan Tedder, Sam Sparrow — amazing writers and producers. And I’m getting to co-write. I wrote a song with Kara Dioguardi from the show. It’s awesome.

… coming out as a homosexual: The response that I’ve felt is mostly positive support, so I think that’s great. It’s a testament to us really trying to become a bit more progressive and focus on what really matters which is that I’m an entertainer and a singer and that’s what it really needs to be about. My private life really has nothing to do with my ability to entertain.

… the tour: I’m looking forward to banking that paycheck. I’m not going to lie, I mean, that’s not my first priority, but, you know, I think for all of us, having gone through experience, to be able to walk away with some financial security in these tough times is really nice.

I guess the financial security is pretty amazing, but why isn’t he just excited about performing for live crowds full of people screaming his name? That’s what I would be most stoked about. Sucks he’s working with the Lady Gaga dude- her stuff is so annoying, but I guess she’s popular and that’s all that matters these days.

In what proved to be the most explosive season ever of the hit Real Housewives series on Bravo, it comes as no surprise now that the network has renewed the New Jersey version of the show for a second season. What took so long? It seems that those “real” women (who spend thousands of dollars on linens and other luxuries) were wanting more money to sign back on.

“They’re doing a second season, and it’s going to be crazier than the first,” an insider says. “It’s going to explode. “There’s no premiere date, but everyone knows it’s going to be a huge hit,” the insider adds. “The reason it has taken so long to announce is that once the show became such a hit, the women held out for much bigger paychecks.”

I love how most of the world is struggling to make ends meet, and these women who are already doing very well financially are continually holding their hand out for more, more, more. It’s disgusting. The things we do for some entertaining tv… Gag me.
