Pointed New ‘Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas’ Poster

Here’s one of the very first posters for the upcoming comedy sequel A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas.

I really liked the first movie, and mildly liked the second. I’m not expecting high art here, but I am expecting high laughs (pun intended). This is not a movie that’s trying to be anything it so obviously isn’t, just a bunch of silly Christmas and 3D themed gags. Not to mention a lot of gross out humor. I just hope it’s better than the last one.

First Look: Full ‘Dark Knight Rises’ Catwoman Costume Revealed!

The first look at the full Catwoman costume images have hit online. The upcoming sequel, The Dark Knight Rises, stars Anne Hathaway as the infamous feline femme fatale.

The costume looks pretty general really, simple and functional. Although the actual mask is a little halloween costume-ish.

I’m not all that thrilled that she’s been picked to play this part, but she’s a great actress, so I’m sure she’ll do a good job. Christopher Nolan isn’t known for making the popular choices with his female leads, but this movie will probably be awesome anyway.

Johnny Depp is Drunk and Hilarious in ‘The Rum Diary’ Trailer

Here’s the first trailer for the upcoming comedy The Rum Diary starring Johnny Depp.

This movie really looks funny, the trailer has some great laughs. Hopefully it didn’t show all the funniest scenes already. Depp is great at comedy, I do wonder how much of a serious tone this movie may strike, or if it’s pure insanity. The Rum Diary is in theaters on October 28th; nice to see it won’t just be horror films that weekend.

‘Ghostbusters’ Returning to Theaters in October!

The modern classic Ghostbusters is coming back to theaters in on October 13th, 2011!

WE GOT ONE! Just received word from City Hall that Ghostbusters will return to theaters around the world beginning Thursday, October 13th! For more information directly from the Mayor himself, click below.

The story broke on the official Ghostbusters Facebook page today! I’d love to see this movie in theaters! I was too young to catch it on the first go-around, and I’m always happy to watch this one. This is a great way to test the waters to see how people react to Ghostbusters on the big screen, given the fact that Ghostbusters 3 is in the works. What do you think? Will you go see Ghostbusters next month? How about Ghostbusters 3 in a couple years?

‘Iron Lady’ Poster With Meryl Streep

Here’s the first official poster for the upcoming film starring Meryl Streep as Margaret Thatcher The Iron Lady.

Meryl Streep is probably going to be contending for best actress yet again at next year’s Oscars for her role in this film. She’s the only actress that is so consistently impressive that nominations are incredibly common. This isn’t a movie that would have any pull for me were it not for her involvement. The Iron Lady opens on December 16th, 2011.

Advance ‘Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ Tickets Available on October 1st

Tickets for the highly anticipated Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 go on sale through Fandango on October 1st. The movie opens wide in theaters on November 18th.

If you count yourself among the die-hard fans of the Twilight series, then you may already know that today (September 13th) happens to be Bella Swan’s birthday. In honor of that occasion, Fandango sent out digital invitations for Bella and Edward’s wedding to previous Twilight ticket-buyers, along with the news that tickets for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’s premiere will go on sale at Fandango on October 1st. That gives fans plenty of time to purchase their tickets before the premiere of the film on November 18th.

It’s a smart way to get the fangirls (and boys) excited about the first half of this movie. I’m personally just thrilled that this series is finally coming to an end. One more year of hysteria and something else will have to take it’s place. I just watched the trailer for this movie and it looks just as bad as the previous ones. But for those who enjoy this kind of entertainment, please, enjoy!

Watery First ‘Ice Age: Continental Drift’ Poster

Here’s the first poster for the upcoming sequel Ice Age: Continental Drift.

The first three movies were big successes, I’m sure this one will be too. It’s hard to believe the summer movie season has ended, now we’re moving towards all the new advertising for summer 2012. The Summer Olympics, Presidential Election and a stellar movie season;  2012 is going to be an interesting year.

First Look: Johnny Depp in Tim Burton’s ‘Dark Shadows’ (Images)

Here are the first images of Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins in Tim Burton‘s upcoming film Dark Shadows.

The Dark Shadows cast includes Michelle PfeifferHelena Bonham CarterEva Green,Jackie Earle HaleyJonny Lee Miller (a new announcement for the cast), Bella HeathcoteChloe Moretz, and Gulliver McGrath.

This is quite a look, clearly very Tim Burton. This isn’t the first time Depp has gone pasty white for Burton, something tells me this will be another memorable character. The cast is great, and the story is fun and offbeat so I’m really looking forward to this one.

First Look: Henry Cavil as Superman ‘Man of Steel’ (Images)

Here’s the first official image of Henry Cavill as your new Superman in Man of Steel. And here are some more images from the set showing off the details of the costume.

Its certainly a much more stylized version of Superman than we’ve ever seen, but it makes perfect sense considering the director Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300, Sucker Punch). While I like the visuals in all those movies, I wasn’t impressed with any of those movies story lines. I’m hoping Man of Steel breaks the trend and has a great story.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis Officially Joining ‘Expendables 2′

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis have both been confirmed to have “significant roles” in the upcoming sequel The Expendables 2.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis have just closed deals to take “substantial” roles in The Expendables 2, alongside Sylvester Stallone. This has been rumored as possible, and it basically answers the hopes of a lot of fans who weren’t satisfied when action icons Schwarzenegger and Willis turned in cameos in the original, and poked fun at the days when they were the world’s top action stars.

The first movie made a lot of money because of the cast, and this movie is sure to do the same. I didn’t even think the first one was very good, but I enjoyed the action and the cast. Needless to say I’ll watch The Expendables 2 for the same reasons. Hopefully it’s better than the first one in the story and performance departments.
