Here’s the newest trailer for the upcoming movie Battle: Los Angeles starring Michelle Rodriguez and Aaron Eckhart.

Wow! I want to see this movie! I’m thoroughly impressed by the gritty realistic style this movie was made in. I quite literally got a little chill when I watched this trailer on my big screen TV with the sound pumped up. I can only imagine how the experience will be in theaters!

A Top Chef All-Star season has finally been admitted to revealed. Bravo has been rumored to have this show in the works for quite some time now.  Thankfully they came through because this is going to be a killer season.  I love all-star shows.  It’s so much easier to dive into the the first episodes rather than having to get to know the contestants for the first few weeks.

Congrats! Top Chef – Ilan Hall Has A Baby On The Way!

Season eight is going to kick some serious culinary butt!  The premiere lands on December 1st.

I’m Nick Wolfwood and I’m bringing you a preview of the movies being released in the final months of 2009.

Love Happens

Starring: Jennifer Aniston, Aaron Eckhart, Sasha Alexander, Judy Greer, Martin Sheen, Dan Fogler, Joe Anderson, Gina Holden

What it’s about: About a widower whose book about coping with loss turns him into a best-selling self-help guru. On a business trip to Seattle, he falls for a woman who attends one of his seminars, only to learn that he hasn’t yet truly confronted his wife’s passing.

Rating: Rated PG-13 for some language including sexual references.

Release Date: September 18th, 2009

Thoughts: This movie isn’t for everyone, it would definitely fall into the ‘chick flick’ category but at least it has some high quality actors. Hopefully there’s more to the script than a pile of cliches, but I have little hope of that considering even the title is cliche.

Aaron Eckhart might be a big movie star now, but it wasn’t always that way.  He spilled to Outside magazine about one of his first cars.

“I OWNED a 1972 Plymouth Valiant that we bought for $125. It was infested with cockroaches and geckos. It was its own little ecosystem.”

Who among us didn’t ever have a car like that?  Well, I don’t know about the geckos, but certainly most of us have driven a beater at some point in our lives.  I’m sure Aaron is glad he doesn’t anymore, though.   By the way, you can catch him this fall in Love Happens with Jennifer Aniston.

Ok, so what do you get when you compile romance movie cliches one after another and add in some big stars? A bona fide chick flick like this. I’ll be avoiding this like the plague, but by all means enjoy.

Aaron Eckhart and�Richard Jenkins will be joining Johnny Depp in the film Rum Diary.

Eckhart is in negotiations while Jenkins is signed on for the movie, which Bruce Robinson adapted and is directing. Amber Heard also is on board.

Eckhart is part of a love triangle that sees him vying with Depp for Heard’s affection. “Diary” is the tale of a washed-up, hard-drinking journalist named Paul Kemp (Depp) in 1950s Puerto Rico. Eckhart would play Sanderson, a wealthy landowner who believes everything has a price and introduces Kemp to a different standard of living.�

Good casting, my bet is this movie has a solid script considering the names attached. These guys all star in good movies.�

The re-release of the mega-hit The Dark Knight planned for January has been Cancelled.

In September, it was announced that Warner Bros. Pictures was planning to rerelease�The Dark Knight�in theaters in January. We have learned that is no longer the case.

Warner Bros. Pictures domestic distribution president Dan Fellman had acknowledged in September that talks were taking place with IMAX executives about the prospect of restoring the film to some number of giant-screen venues in January. It was uncertain whether�The Dark Knight�would also reappear in conventional theaters.

The movie would have easily passed the $1 Billion mark had the plans come to fruition. It’s a shame, I really wanted to go see it again at the IMAX.�

For the first time Aaron Eckhart will be playing the lead role in a high profile action film. The movie is called Battle: Los Angeles.

Aaron Eckhart is attached to star in “Battle: Los Angeles,” a sci-fi actioner that Jonathan Liebesman is directing for Columbia. Neal Moritz and his Original Film are producing.

The story, written by Chris Bertolini, revolves around a Marine platoon’s encounter in the battle on the streets of Los Angeles against an alien invasion. Eckhart will play the platoon leader in the film, which has yet to set a start date.

Sounds odd, I hope there is more to the story than that. Alien invasion isn’t exactly a new subject, and action in Los Angeles isn’t exactly rare in films either. Eckhart is a great actor, it will be interesting to see him in this kind of role.�
