American Idol today is nothing like the American Idol of yesterday.  Without Simon Cowell things will never be the same.  Okay.  So let’s move on and let Idol take on it’s new life and let go of the old.

I was of course disappointed when Simon Cowell left the show.  But, I was more than riveted when Steven Tyler came on board.  Jennifer Lopez has to prove herself to me before I can actually be glad about her position on the show.

Right now my big issue is that Randy Jackson thinks he is Simon Cowell’s replacement.  He’s not.  No one is.  Simon can’t be replaced.  Yet, Randy is sitting in Simon’s chair and is trying to become the same kind of judge that Simon was on Idol.  Randy is letting go of his ‘dawg’ persona and trying to be the blunt, hardball Simon Cowell.  Lame.  Randy, stop being a poser and be you, otherwise, America is going to give you a swift kick in the @ss……

I have a bad feeling that Randy Jackson is going to be my achilles heel this season.

First of all, I’d like to point out that this is a very touchy subject for me.  I am a huge, huge, huge, fan of Aerosmith and I below to the pit of my core that Steven Tyler is the lifeblood of the band and without him, they can’t go on.  So, when Joe Perry keeps running his mouth, acting like they can easily replace Tyler, it makes me ill.

This is all stemming from Steven signing on with American Idol as a new judge.  Is Joe Perry a tad jealous, ya think?

Perry’s latest “threat” came when he did an interview with the Calgary Herald,

“It’s his business, but I don’t want Aerosmith’s name involved with [American Idol]. We have nothing to do with it.  [Idol] is a reality show designed to get people to watch that station and sell advertising … it’s one step above Ninja Turtles.”

Joe actually thinks that Steven Tyler is replaceable,

“[You've got] four guys that are great together, and if you find the right singer, there’s no reason you can’t go and entertain people.”

Dream on.  Never gonna happen.  You try to boot Steven Tyler, you are shutting down Aerosmith.  No real fan would ever attend a show without their frontman, Steven Tyler. Joe Perry needs to have his head examined.  Seriously.

The Demon of Screamin‘, Steven Tyler is back in action. Aerosmith has just announced their European summer tour, ”Cocked, Locked and Ready to Rock” with their front man back where he belongs.  Thank GOD!  I am so pumped.  Aerosmith, to me, is the greatest band of all time.  Welcome back boys!  Kiss some @ss!

It seems that fans are becoming frantic.  Everyone wants to know how Steven Tyler is doing after his spill.  Well, this is not the end of Aerosmith.  Like his daughter Mia already told us, he is still the Demon of Screamin‘.

Like Joe Perry said,

“Inevitably, we always come back.”

Tyler is still getting tests run to diagnose his injuries properly.  This isn’t going to be a career ending injury, peeps.  Steven Tyler will be back in action soon.  Keep supporting him and praying for his injuries to heal quickly.

We will keep you posted here on Backseat Cuddler.  I am confident that Steven Tyler will resume his place on the stage very soon.

Can I just say that Steven Tyler of Aerosmith always does it for me.  I love that guy.  He is always sexy.  The guy has got the look, always.  Aerosmith is my favorite band of all time, a true classic.

Anyhow, Steven Tyler was the official hot of the post concert party at Studio 54 inside the MGM Grand in Las Vegas this weekend.  I absolutely love his poses on the red carpet.  How many women would love to be in those shots with him?  Yeah, me too.
