Wedding bells rang for America Ferrera and Ryan Piers Williams on Monday, June 27th.

Ferrera, 27, wore a lovely tiered organza and tulle wedding dress from Amsale’s Christos label and her rep told People magazine:

It was “an intimate setting amongst close friends and family.”

Among the guests were her Ugly Betty costars Vanessa Williams and Rebecca Romijn with her husband Jerry O’Connell. Ferrera’s Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants friend Blake Lively also attended.

Ferrera and Williams met in college at USC when he chose her to star in his student film in 2007. In 2010, they worked together on his film The Dry Land and were engaged in June of that same year.

We kind of connected from the get-go on that professional level and that was something that really drew us to each other,” Ferrera said at the time of her engagement, “a shared passion for what we do and our work.”

The Emmy winning actress next project will lend her voice to the sequel of How To Tame Your Dragon.

The super cute couple met at tUSC when he cast her in his student film.  How cute is that?  Ugly Betty might be over, but America has a whole new adventure about to begin!

America Ferrera celebrated the premiere of Letters to Juliet at the 9th Annual Tribeca Film Festival.  America has got to be a little sad now that Ugly Betty is over, but she always looks so happy.  She’s got a gorgeous smile!  I love her style – classic but always with an twist, like this dress with its cool fabric and interesting details.

America Ferrera always has a way of making me laugh.  The girl has got huge talent and she makes Ugly Betty such a fabulous show.  And in true America fashion, she dressed in a hotdog costume for an episode filming in New York City  today (Auggust 25th).  Talk about true dedication to your role!  That can’t be comfortable… How cute does she look though?  Too funny.  I can’t wait to see this one!

Ugly Betty star America Ferrera flashed a smile for the camera on set of the famous TV show in Manhattan, New York yesterday (March 20). I’m happy they didn’t cancel show. I’m not exactly an avid fan but I do like my Ugly Betty fix on the weekends.

Rumors say Ugly Betty’s future was at risk because of America’s diva attitude. Apparently this started after Lindsay Lohan’s special appearance on the show had to be cut back to four episodes instead of the six planned because America couldn’t stand her. I can’t see America being a diva, she seems to be such a sweet girl.

America Ferrera may be called America because of her TV acting, but that’s not what people call her at home. In Woodland Hills, California they call her Georgina.

A former classmate [says], “She went by her middle name in school.” Managers made her go back to “America” for her first role, in Real Women Have Curves.

I know this probably really isn’t surprising but it’s funny how celebrities like to change their names. I even have to admit, Taylor isn’t my real name either. So why do we feel like we have to change them? Is it so we can become something or someone we’re not?

Celebrities touched by cancer in some way got together for “Stand Up to Cancer,” an hour-long, commercial-free fundraising show aired simultaneously on NBC, ABC and CBS. “This is an absolutely historic night, thanks to the unbelievable generosity of the three networks,” producer and cancer survivor Laura Ziskin told the audience at the Kodak Theatre before the show began.

“We hope we’re going to make you laugh, and I know we’re going to make you cry, so I have some party favors,” she said as she tossed packets of Kleenex into the crowd.

Cancer survivors Lance Armstrong and Elizabeth Edwards kicked off the program with statistics: Cancer kills 550,000 Americans and six million people worldwide each year.

“That’s the equivalent of 9/11 every two days,” Armstrong said.
