Oscars 2013: Amy Adams In Oscar de la Renta

Amy Adams

Red carpet favorite Amy Adams looked like a real princess at the 2013 Academy Awards.  She wore a dove gray ball gown by Oscar de la Renta with a sweetheart bodice and a fabulous, fluffy skirt with a long train.   This dress could have overwhelmed tiny Amy, so she wisely kept the rest of her look understated and elegant.

Gorgeous Amy Adams At LACMA Art + Film Gala

Amy Adams

Amy Adams was easily the most glamorous star on the red carpet at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) 2012  Art + Film Gala.    She rocked an elegant floor-length Gucci gown that was gathered at the waist with a sparkly belt; beautiful for sure, but the best part was its striking chartreuse shade.  There are just not too many women who can pull off this color.

Amy Adams Is Fierce For InStyle UK

Adams attended the Gala with her fiancé Darren Le Gallo.  Has he always had that goofy mustache?

I’m kind of loving Gucci for sponsoring this event because it gave us the opportunity to see so many lovely gowns from their collections.

Amy Adams is Lois Lane in ‘Superman: Man of Steel’

Amy Adams has been cast to play Lois Lane in the upcoming Zack Snyder remake Superman: Man of Steel.

This just in — three-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams will play journalist Lois Lane in Hollywood’s revival of “Superman.”

The 36-year-old star got the news on Sunday from directorZack Snyder, who phoned her from Paris, where he was promoting his just-opened film, “Sucker Punch.”

This is great news, she seems like a great choice. After seeing her flawlessly pull off her role in The Fighter I’ve gained so much more respect for her. I think the fact that she doesn’t really look like the Lois Lane lot of people would expect will work to the movie’s advantage. Sadly I’m just so doubtful of Zack Snyder’s ability to create a sense of emotional depth in his movies, it makes me worry Superman: Man of Steel will fall flat. What do you think?

Amy Adams Oscars Nominees Luncheon (PHOTOS)

Amy Adams attended the Annual Academy Awards nominees luncheon on Monday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.  What is with the trend in white dresses that look like nurse uniforms?  This one is a lot cuter than the big fail Kirsten Dunst wore out for New Year’s Eve – it is a Valentino after all – but I’m pretty sure I hate this trend.

Amy Adams Is Fierce For InStyle UK

Amy Adams is a fiercely gorgeous cover girl for InStyle UK February 2011.   She’s fabulous anyway, but I just love this cover.   Amy talks about how her body image changed significantly after becoming a mom to baby Aviana Le Gallo in May.  She says pregnancy helped her realize that she wasn’t

“put on this earth to look good in a swimsuit…I never felt more beautiful than when I was pregnant, because it wasn’t about me. The whole purpose of my body was no longer to fit into a sample size. It was to nurture another being. So I always felt great, no matter what I was wearing.”

Of course, Amy looks great no matter what, period… but this is an awesome message for women to hear.   Preach it, girl!!

Mark Wahlberg ‘The Fighter’ Premiere – Photos

The Fighter pushed it’s way down Hollywood Boulevard to Grauman’s Chinese Theatre for a premiere on Monday December 6th. Actors Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg, who star as real life pugilistic half-brothers Dickey Eklund and Mickey “Irish” Ward, descended the red carpet in very different styles.

Wahlberg wore a more traditional suit and tie while Bale opted for a less formal track jacket and jeans. Costar Amy Adams knocked everyone out with her white v-neck dress and flowing strawberry blonde locks.

The Fighter opens Friday December 10th.
