She may be smokin’ hot, but Kim Kardashian knows nothing about the modeling industry. Oh well, that won’t stop Tyra Banks from exploiting her popularity by bringing her on America’s Next Top Model as a guest judge.

Here’s what Kim had to say about her time filming the show:

Recently I was a guest judge on America’s Next Top Model for an episode that will air next season! Wow, this cycle is pretty amazing! It’s definitely my favorite so far! Can’t give away any details but you guys have to tune in for sure! It was such an honor to be a guest judge! I have watched this show for years and am such a huge Tyra Banks fan! She is such a smart business woman and such a role model! Love ya Tyra!

I guess this is her favorite season because it’s for short girls of all shapes and sizes. Kind of gives normal American women hope… but then it smashes it when we realize you can’t make it in the modeling world if you’re short and curvy. Sorry.

I don’t really know why everyone feels it is so helpful to take your clothes off in order to raise money. It’s kind of like excessive profanity- can’t you be more creative?

Anyway, America’s Next Top Model’s first plus-sized winner, Whitney Thompson, will be taking it all off for the Broadway Bares initiative to help fight AIDS. On June 21, she will join the Strip-a-thon, one of Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS‘ signature events.

Tyra Banks thinks way too highly of herself. From her self-serving America’s Next Top Model program, to her low class talk show, she pretty much thinks the world revolves around her. And when another judge started stepping on her territory at ANTM, she fired back, literally. While she blames budget cuts for the release of Paulina Porizkova, everyone knows that her ego was being hurt having someone more beautiful, intelligent and talented than she was on the panel.

“The current state of the economy has forced shows to make major budget cuts industry wide,” said Banks and Mok in a joint statement obtained by People. “America’s Next Top Model is not immune to these financially challenging times. We’ve had to make significant cuts in every area of the production and, unfortunately, Paulina was a casualty of these cuts.”

Riiiight. There are other places to make cuts… How about cutting back on some of the exotic shoots, or expensive outfits, or high-end living quarters? Or why not get rid of “Miss Jay” who is more of a joke than a judge? Paulina actually gave that show a hint of credibility, but I guess that was too much for Tyra.

I am so not a fan. Can you tell?

Judge favorite Teyona Anderson was named America’s Next Top Model on last night’s cycle 12 finale episode, beating out New Orleans native Allison Harvard. The twenty year old Jersey girl has quit her job at a bank to now further pursue her modeling career (those contracts with Elite Model Management and Cover Girl should help a lot). Here’s what she had to say following the news:

“I come from the little country streets of Woodstown, New Jersey, growing up in the cornfields, playing in the woods with boys, to being America’s Next Top Model!”…”I’ve wanted to do this so long, I just wanted to model…That’s what I want to do, it’s my passion…To win, and my hard work actually paid off…It’s amazing… “I’m so proud of myself, it’s ridiculous…like, is this for real?!’”

Along with the above contracts, Teyona won a six page spread and cover of Seventeen magazine along with $100,000. Congratulations and best of luck to her!

Tahlia Brookins competed on this cycle of America’s Next Top Model and championed for burn victims all the while. Now the eighteen year old has revealed on The Tyra Banks Show that she is pregnant.

“I just so happen to be pregnant,” Brookins revealed during an appearance on Wednesday’s broadcast.  “My initial reaction to my pregnancy was shock.”

“I was told multiple times over and over that I couldn’t get pregnant just from my scars holding me back, other physical things going on with my body,” Brookins told Banks. “I was always told I was never going to be able to conceive children.”

“Once I got home, my boyfriend and I started having some complications. Shortly after that, we did break up because we both agreed that we had some stuff we needed to work on individually. So that is exactly what we are doing and still doing.”

But her boyfriend won’t let the break-up interfere with his parental responsibilities…

“When I first found out I was surprised and excited at the same time because members of my family since the moment they saw me and Tahlia together have told me that they know we are going to be together and have a family together,” Michaels told Us. “And, yes we have complications we are working through right now, but I know we will be able to get through it as a couple because we both still are in love.”

While I am happy they are going to work at being together for the kid, it breaks my heart when children have children. Thank God they aren’t terminating the pregnancy, but teenage parents just can’t do for babies what adult parents can. Our thoughts and prayers are with them all.

What is it with Tyra Banks and keeping other former models on her America’s Next Top Model judging panel? First Janice Dickinson, then Twiggy, and now Paulina Porizkova have all come and gone. Paulina told Craig Ferguson on his show that she was in Los Angeles because she was looking for a job after being fired from Top Model on her birthday… ouch. What happened? Here’s her story:

“[Who fired me] doesn’t matter, somebody fired me,” Porizkova said when Ferguson asked if Top Model host Tyra Banks had been the person to let her know she was being fired. According to Porizkova, she was fired over the phone.

“But the reason I was fired, just to be fair here, the reason I was told I was fired was because, it seemed that America’s Next Top Model had gotten too fat and they needed to cut some fat and the fat was me,” Porizkova told Ferguson.

“So I figured it was either that — I think that was a nice way of putting it and it could have been either that or my gigantic huge ego, which I wasn’t aware of before I was told by the producers that I have an ego problem.”  …”I didn’t either,” Porizkova told Ferguson when he said he never thought she had an ego problem. ”But Tyra… I really believe that just felt they didn’t need me, which of course they don’t, so that’s okay.”

Well, she’s got a lot more credibility on that panel than “Miss Jay” AKA Jay Alexander, but then again, he/she is not a threat to Tyra. Perhaps the show should have considered that when they did the “fat trimming”. Isn’t it ironic they used that terminology when they are filming a season with girls of all shapes and sizes… Hmmmm.

Tyra Banks is ridiculous and hopefully everyone jumps off her bandwagon soon. Sure seems like SHE’s the one with the ego problem!

Much like the earlier departed Sandra, Natalie Pack thought she was the best on this cycle of America’s Next Top Model, and when she got cut, she got mad! At her final panel, she argued with Tyra Banks about the feedback she got from shoot director Jay Manuel. Despite what the judges said, she thought her picture was the best by far, so you can imagine her shock when she was sent packing. And after viewing the portrayal of her on the show, Natalie got even more angry.

Here’s what she had to say following her last episode:

“Oh my God, [I was] more than surprised. I thought that it was my best feedback that I’ve ever gotten from [photo shoot director Jay Manuel]. I thought I was totally fine, I mean you could totally tell that I was confident about it”… “To be so confident to say ‘Oh I’m not going home, I have no fear of going home,’ and then I ended up going home. I was  kind of like ‘What?’”

“The whole show is very… I don’t know what the word would be for it, I’d probably [call] it ’shady,’ almost because you never know what their intentions are,” Pack said. “I mean they edited me to look like someone I’m totally not. So it was really strange, the whole experience was just… I don’t know. I have mixed feelings about it.”… “It’s almost disgusting to me because it makes me upset that they would show me in this light when it’s completely the opposite of who I am,” Pack insisted. “I’m not snobby, I’m extremely down to earth, I’m not even wealthy. I mean, I don’t have tons of money and anything like that they portrayed me as.”

“If it was so easy for them to make me seem like this then they wouldn’t have to cut and paste my words together,” she added. “They would have multiple things for me that they could choose from. They really struggled to make me look spoiled, but I guess they did a good job because people are definitely believing it.”

And as for who she wants to take home top honors as America’s Next Top Model?

“I’m really hoping that Allison wins,”Pack said. ”I think that she has the most potential out of all the girls left. I think that she has a beautiful look and it’s something that nobody’s ever seen before, which is really important to stand out and be unique in the modeling industry. Teyona, I feel like she might win, but I really want Allison to win.”

I feel bad for Natalie if she isn’t the snobby, rich witch they made her out to be… Because I was totally convinced!

Jaslene Gonzalez won cycle 8 of America’s Next Top Model and has been successful in the industry ever since. Last night she showed up at the Jeffrey Fashion Cares 2009 benefit held at Escape in New York City looking like a massive fashion MESS. The multi-color, drapey, droopy, over-sized, glittery, 1992-esque dress was a major disaster and her hair looked like straw.

Tahlia Brookins captured the hearts of America and the judges on America’s Next Top Model when she was cast despite having burn scars all over her body. Her mantra was to be a role model for other victims, that they, too could achieve their dreams. But after almost giving up just a week before and scoring the best picture, her insecurity, terrible commercial and lack of zeal cost her a spot in the competition. Here are some highlights from an exit interview Tahlia did:

Okay. So going back a few weeks now, what was going through your head as you watched [Celia, a 25-year-old designer in fashion sales from Cynthiana, KY] went up to Tyra and start telling her about you wanting to go home?
Tahlia: Well I mean like, my first [reaction] was to punch her in the face (Laughs). But after slowing down to think about it, yeah I was disappointed that she did it. [Unintelligible] She has the right to her own opinion, and she has to say how she feels and she can do whatever she feels is necessary and she felt that what she was doing was the right thing and I can’t really judge her for that because that’s her lifestyle. That’s how she gets things done, and she thinks it’s okay. That’s her. I mean, I don’t have to be a part of it, but I can’t blame her for doing what she did if she thinks it was right.

Moving to the burns that you haven, could you quickly recap what happened and how you got them?
Tahlia: When I was eight-months-old I spilled a coffee on myself and as a result I ended up having second and third degree burns. [I had] to have surgeries for reconstructions and plastic surgeries.

What was your opinion of [Natalie, a 19-year-old student from Palos Verdes, CA], was she as confident as she seemed on the show?
Tahlia: I don’t think “Confident” is a good word for her, “Cocky” and “Arrogant” is better for her. I’m sorry, she’s jut got a very stubborn attitude and is a very selfish person. But like I said, if that’s how she lives her life I can’t judge her for it.

Kind of going off of that, who were you closest with on the show, and who did you dislike the most?
Tahlia: I was closest with [Aminat, a 21-year-old student from Union, NJ] and Teyona. And as far as [the girl I disliked the most I would have to say Natalie. The rest of them I can stand, but Natalie, she just rubs me the wrong way.

How did you get on the show? Had you applied to previous seasons before season 12?
Tahlia: No actually, I'd never auditioned or anything. My dad just sent it out for my birthday, a kinda on a whim kinda thing. It just went from there. So basically it was a birthday present from my dad.

During the beginning of the casting special of this cycle of America’s Next Top Model, I was really rooting for Sandra Nyanchoka. She’s an African immigrant just wanting to live the American dream. And then she opened her mouth, and continued to run her mouth all season about how amazing and wonderful and perfect she was, despite falling into the bottom multiple times. She rubbed almost every girl there the wrong way, but was finally sent home last week. Here’s what she had to say about her reputation, the competition, and the other girls, and her future aspirations:

“No. I’m like a really sweet girl. I’m really nice and I don’t feel like it did [portray me accurately],” Nyanchoka told reporters following her elimination from last week’s episode of The CW’s reality modeling competition. “That’s why I feel like people shouldn’t judge me based on what they see on the show.”

“I kinda feel like they did [make a mistake eliminating me], but then again I don’t know,” she told reporters. “I feel like they wanted to see a straight on photo of me. And like Tyra said I have really, really good sideways pictures, [but] she didn’t pick those because Nigel wanted to see a straight on picture of me. So I kinda saw it coming after [the judges] deliberated.

“I feel like Allison was one of the girls, like, she always had the same face through all of her pictures,” Nyanchoka told reporters. “I don’t know, I just think they wanted me to go home.”

However, any criticism by Nyanchoka of Allison ended there, as she also selected the 20-year-old artist from New Orleans, LA as her favorite to win the competition. “I would say Allison because she has a very unique beauty,” Nyanchoka told reporters. “I’ve never really seen a girl that looks like her before on the show.I just think she might win… If she gets better on the runway she might take it.”

“I’m gonna continue modeling, but I eventually wanna be a journalist,” she told reporters. “I’ve always loved writing and in school I was part of the [newspaper], and I was news anchor for my school news, and I always did stuff like that. But modeling is my passion and I will continue doing that as long as well.”

Editing or no editing, she said enough in the confessionals for us all to hate her and her arrogant spirit. I hope she is a better and more humble journalist than model. Good luck, Sandra!

Kortnie Coles was the “plus-sized” model contestant and comedian on this cycle of America’s Next Top Model, but her dreams ended this week when she was cut from the competition. Here are some highlights from an interview the Houston native did in which she reveals her future plans, who she’s rooting for now, and what she thinks about her red hair!

Earlier in that episode you described yourself as a “old male comedian stuffed in a curvy chicks body,” which I’m sure isn’t exactly what [Toccara Jones] was expecting to hear from anyone. Could you go into a little more details about why you describe yourself that way?
Kortnie: I really do think of myself as that way. I’m just kind of like always joking around and make really inappropriate comments. I think when people see curvy girls they don’t always think that’s what’s going to be coming out of their mouths. (Laughs) So I guess it’s just like a mix of Ron Burgundy and George Carlin inside of two boobs and some hips. Some child birthin’ hips.

How did you feel about Sandra’s comments that were shown right after that in which she said you didn’t take the competition seriously?
Kortnie: Well obviously taking the competition too seriously is getting her nowhere, it’s also getting her no friendships. So, to me I’d rather be successful in my own right and have some friends along the way than be all alone at the top where everybody thinks you’re a jerk. So I think the way that I do it’s just fine and Sandra, obviously she’s okay being a loner. So she can live the rest of her life with no jokes and no friends and we’ll all be laughing.

Are you still planning on pursuing modeling as a career?
Kortnie: Oh yeah, definitely. What I’m definitely going to do after the show, I have some nice things that I’m working on now: modeling, spokes modeling. I think that goes hand-in-hand with other forms of entertainment, so anywhere I’m wanted I’ll be there.

Have you kept your makeover?
Kortnie: Yeah I did actually. I think that the red hair looks super fun and it was nice to have a change. I trust Tyra’s opinion on what looks good on me more than my own mirror. Before the show I just had long curly brown hair and that’s the way it is when it dries and I was lazy. So it’s kinda fun to have red hair now.

Who are you rooting for now that you’re out?
Kortnie: I’m definitely rooting for Allison, not only because I think she has a really interesting face, but I know her personally and she’s a great girl. She’s very humble and respectful and fun and quirky. So I’m definitely rooting for her on all levels.

Seems like Sandra is the least popular girl in the house, and with good reason. Despite being the bottom two twice already, she still thinks she’s the best model there. Um, ok? Delusional…. Good luck to Kortnie!!

Nijah Harris was cut on last week’s episode of America’s Next Top Model, essentially just for being a total bore. Here are highlights from an interview she did about her feelings on the last photo shoot, her future plans, and her beef with Sandra.

Could you just talk a little bit about the difficulties you had with that last photo shoot? You said that it was more difficult modeling with a partner than you thought it would be.
Nijah: Oh yes. When you’re working with a partner not only do you have to [if you are creating] a good group picture, but you also have to make sure you don’t get lost. You wanna make sure you connect with your partner. Me and my partner, we were fine, we got along. But at that particular moment in time we couldn’t quite click together and quite get something going at the same time.

And not only that, but for some reason I just wasn’t quite feeling it myself that day. I don’t know if it was because of the actual theme we got, or what it was, but yeah…

You were down to the final two where it was just you and [Allison, a 20-year-old artist from New Orleans, LA], did you have any sense about whether you were going home or not?
Nijah: I was not expecting to go home so early, but when I got down to the bottom two with Allison I wasn’t really sure how it was gonna go down, like wow. Because they really like Allison (unintelligible) and she has had her picture called out first before, so I was like “Oh, wow (Laughs).”

What are you up to now? Are you going to continue pursuing modeling?

Nijah: Oh most definitely! I love modeling, that is my passion. Just the runway itself, ooh it gives me the chills just every time I think about it. Yes, I’m going to pursue modeling, even though I’m not in school right now I want to enroll next semester. I figure if [Tyra Banks] can go to UCLA and become a supermodel. than I can do it to.

What are you going to study?
Nijah: Probably nursing, I’m not exactly sure but yeah, I’ll probably go into nursing school.

How did you feel about  [Sandra, a 19-year-old student from Rockville, MD]?
Nijah: (Laughs) Not my favorite girl in the house. We did have our own little [disagreements] in the house, but I guess they weren’t big enough to get shown on TV (Laughs). I don’t know, my whole deal with her was that I was gonna let her know how I feel, and then after that I was not gonna keep discussing her. What is said is said and I don’t think I need to keep going on and on about it.

Though she’s looking more like a tranny and less like a model these days, Tyra Banks is still producing new seasons of America’s Next Top Model. And after the New York audition chaos, new casting call rules have been announced.

Auditioners will only be allowed to begin lining up at the Dallas site at 6AM, and instead of remaining in line all day until their audition turn arrives, the casting call organizers will hand out color-coded wristbands beginning at 7AM.  After receiving their wristband, the auditioners will be encouraged to leave the casting call site, with the color of the wristband they receive indicating the specific time that they should return for their audition opportunity.  The wristband procedure will also be utilized at the show’s other remaining casting calls in Chicago and Los Angeles.

In addition, the network also plans to restrict who will be allowed to wait in line during the casting calls. Only women applying for the show will be permitted to wait in line unless the auditioner is under 18 years of age, in which case a single guardian will be allowed to stand with her.

These rules would have probably been good to implement in the first place, but at least they finally got wise. Just sucks for those injured during that model stampede!

Eighteen year old California native Nijah (pictured above left) was the third girl sent home from the 12th cycle of America’s Next Top Model. Despite a strong first picture, she had since been declining in the competition and “resting on pretty”. After being criticized last week for being lifeless, she tried to kick up the intensity without much success.

“I’m disappointed in myself. It hurts, to say goodbye I’m gonna miss the girls a lot,” Nijah said following her elimination. “This competition has opened my eyes to a lot of things… This is gonna open a lot of doors for me.”

Just goes to show you that it takes a lot more than just being pretty to be a model. It’s an art form- you either got it, or you don’t.

Tyra Banks is speaking out about the mass chaos that erupted at the New York auditions for the next cycle of America’s Next Top Model…

“To all the `Top Model’ hopefuls who were affected by the New York casting, we are doing everything we can to make sure that ALL the girls who weren’t seen, get an opportunity to audition — we’ll update you on our plans very soon,” Banks said in a statement issued Monday by the CW network.

I don’t know about you, but I kind of expected an apology? Great, they are rescheduling the madness… What about the people who were injured and hospitalized? Geesh, Mrs. Domestic Violence spokesperson!
