We haven’t seen too much of Ashlee Simpson since she filed for divorce from her husband, rocker Pete Wentz about four months ago but she has been quietly moving on with a new man and the low profile is about to change.

Simpson, 26, and Boardwalk Empire actor Vincent Piazza were spotted arm in arm at a park in New York City and a kiss was caught by the cameras.

Piazza even accompanied Ashlee to the airport late last week and kissed her goodbye as she headed back to Los Angeles.

And although Simpson and Wentz were hand-holding less than two months ago with their son, Bronx Mowgli, for a family day out, the reconciliation was brief and didn’t last.

Wentz has not been seen with or linked to anyone in a romantic way besides Ashlee.

Yeah, so I’ve never been the biggest Ashlee Simpson fan, but even I must admit she looked awfully cute at the A Time For Heroes Celebrity Picnic on Sunday in Los Angeles.

At first I didn’t realize this was Ashlee – I honestly thought it was Agyness Deyn.   Granted, the whole skinny jeans-graphic tee-fedora look is rather overdone these days, but she looks cute.   Divorce does a body good?

It’s a fashionable Sister Act.

Following in the footsteps of Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, another set of famous designing sisters, Ashlee and Jessica Simpson are launching a fashion endeavor for themselves.

Jessica, who is already head of her own billion dollar clothing and accessories empire, is expanding into the tween and teen demographic of 7- to 16-year-olds, with Ashlee as co-creative director.

“Creating a tween apparel collection was a natural extension for the brand. I’m excited to bring my sister, Ashlee, along as co-creative director of this division, because she brings a savvy rocker edge that defines today’s tweens,” Jessica told Women’s Wear Daily.

Ashlee says “My goal as co-creative director will be to design clothes that will help inspire young girls to express their personalities and creativity through fashion.”

The line which is still unnamed, will feature denim, sportswear and activewear (with footwear to follow,) will debut sometime later this year.

It’s celebrity branding gone wild. It just never ends.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has filed for divorce from her husband Pete Wentz citing irreconcilable differences.

Simpson-Wentz is requesting that the court restore her name to Ashlee Nicole Simpson and that she will share joint custody of their son, Bronx Mowgli, with the former Fall Out Boy bassist but she will retain primary physical custody.

“After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” the couple said through a spokesperson. “We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our No. 1 priority. We ask that everyone honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives.”

The 26 year old singer has hired attorney Laura Wasser for her skills in divorce proceedings and custody cases.

Pete Wentz loves his wifey, Ashlee Simpson.  He’s even taken to loving on her via Twitter.  Ashlee just lopped off her hair and has the cutest blonde, pixie cut.  It looks fabulous on her don’t you think?

Jessica Simpson is not only the best sister to Ashlee Simpson Wentz, she is also the best fan ever.  Jess was spotted leaving her hotel in New York City on her way over to the Ambassador Theater to see Ashlee in the Broadway musical ‘Chicago‘ again.

Jess is a huge support for Ashlee and I think that it’s awesome that they are both always there for each other.  Ashlee has definitely found her niche in the biz and I am very happy for her.

Kudos to you both girls.  By the way, Jessica you look beautiful!!  Love the bag!

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz might be done on Melrose Place, but she is moving on to a whole new venue.  Where, you ask? Broadway baby!  Ashlee is taking her musical performance experience from London where she played Roxie Hart in Chicago to New York!

Starting in Decemeber, Ashlee will be a Broadway star in the amazing musical Chicago.  I am excited for her and I believe this role suits her much better.  I think she will shine.  How ’bout you?  Is Broadway the place for Ashlee?

It was recently announced that Ashlee Simpson had been fired from her new show, the CW’s Melrose Place. While we would expect Ashlee to be upset over this, it is her big sister, Jessica Simpson, that is taking aim at the show calling it “crap.”

Jessica wrote [on her Twitter account] : “CW catching up on MP.who writes this crap?i have had bad scripts to work with,but this?thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press.”

As for the reason why Ashlee was let go from Melrose Place?  She just can’t act.

“They hired her because they needed a good name to help create buzz,” a set insider told Us Weekly. “But she was embarrassingly bad. Producers cut her down as much as possible.”

Another source added,

“She’s the worst actress, but nobody will tell her.”

Don’t worry too much over Ashlee losing this acting job, though.  Word is that she’s been reading scripts for new job offers. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise!

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are starting to realize that their Beverly Hills dream mansion may not be a safe play area for their son Bronx.

“The house is built into the side of a giant hill and it doesn’t really have any yard. Now that Bronx is getting older they realized that really isn’t a child-friendly house.

“They are going to sell this house and look for something that will be better suited to young children.”

In case you were in the market for a previously owned Beverly Hills mansion this one sounds quite nice. The home is 5,896-square-feet, has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a media room, gourmet kitchen and of course a gym. There’s also a guest house in case the in-laws drop by!

The Wentz’s originally paid $4.5 million in 2007, but in this market, I’m sure you can get it for a steal.
