Ashlee Simpson sure put on a brave face for the June 2008 cover of Shape magazine considering her past.
Ashlee wasn’t always as confident with her body image.She recalls, “When I went to ballet school, I was around a lot of girls with eating disorders, and I actually had a minor one myself. It was about six months of not eating too much at all. I was 11 and five foot, two inches and about 70 pounds. My parents stepped in and made me eat.”
I think it’s great that celebrities come out with their past. It helps everyone, especially people with eating disorders to not be ashamed and get help.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz got more than they bargained for in a recent trip to Costa Rica. While they were at their paradise retreat they realized their things were slowly starting to go missing.
Simpson explains, “We’d go to sleep and we’d wake up, and the maid wasn’t even here, but sunglasses, my Sony, my favorite Wireseal hat, all this stuff, my favorite make-up bag (was gone). We were like, ‘Where is everything?’ We asked the hotel and they said that the monkeys like shiny things. [And then said:] ‘That monkey has some serious designer clothes.’”
A monkey that likes designer things…he may get really rich someday. I wonder if he knows how to use ebay?

Check this out: Matt Lauer asked Ashlee Simpson about her “expanding” family this morning and amidst all her giggling silliness (so annoying), all she had to say about it was, “Time will tell.”
Then she claimed that the only thing she’s giving birth to is her new record, Bittersweet World. Um, eeeww.
What do you think, readers? With coy comments like “time will tell” and “I didn’t know I’d be getting married right now” I think she’s doing a spectacularly poor job of hiding her pregnancy. Hopefully she won’t pull a J-Lo and keep trying to deny it until it’s way past obvious!

After weeks of speculation, Ashlee SImpson and Pete Wentz have finally officially announced their engagement. Most. Emo. Wedding. Ever!!!
Ashlee wrote the following on her Friends or Enemies website:
We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes - it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, but we wanted you to hear it straight from us.”
So, when’s the baby due? I bet Pete will carry it. Pregnant Man Part Two! Except, Pete Wentz is a little bit more feminine than that other dude.

Jessica Simpson stepped out (in jogging pants) with her mom, Tina, and sister, Ashlee, to get a bite to eat.
“Jessica was walking very slowly with her hand on her back. You could see she was in a little bit of pain,” an eyewitness said of Simpson, who wore sweats and Uggs. “She was dressed down and trying to stay low key.”
During the lunch, “Jessica picked at a salad and didn’t eat much — but she was in good spirits and was laughing very loudly with her sister,” the witness added.
After Jessica went back home with her mom who is staying with her while she recuperates.
Do you think it was really kidney infection or something else? I wonder by how rough she looks! Let’s hope in any case that Jessica feels better soon.

It’s being reported that Ashlee Simpson might be knocked up by Joe Simpson Pete Wentz, and the two are engaged. Ashlee was seen wearing an engagement ring while promoting her new CD in New York.
The Sun reports:
Pete recently posted a blog online announcing the couples’ plans to make something that cannot be illegally downloaded, hinting at a baby.
In the bizarre video message, Ashlee and Pete, who have dated since last summer, also reveal that the “release date” is July 2008, before Ashlee poses with a cushion stuffed under her top.
The world is in sad shape if these two dum-dums are planning on procreating, but I’m hoping it’s their attempts at “punking” us!

The icky ‘dadager’ (dad + manager) Joe Simpson has told daughter Ashlee Simpson that her boyfriend, Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz, cannot attend their family’s holiday celebrations.
At the centre of the alleged problem is Wentz’s interview with Blender magazine in which he claimed to have kissed other men. “Joe was skeptical about the relationship from the start,” an insider told Star magazine. “There is a rumour that Pete tried to commit suicide, but with the news of his possible bisexuality, Joe blew his top.” The news has not gone down well with Ashlee. “She is upset, but she values her dad’s opinions and has agreed.”
Twisted how he finds issue with Wentz’s bisexuality but thinks it’s perfectly normal to comment on his daughter Jessica’s breasts.
