Malaysia May Ban Avril Lavigne

But not for sucking so bad… which is probably why they SHOULD be banning her. Nope, the Islamic opposition party in Malaysia says that Avril Lavigne’s planned concert is “too sexy” for the Muslim country.

Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party official Kamarulzaman Mohamed said that Lavigne’s dance moves are

“considered too sexy for us. It’s not good for viewers in Malaysia. We don’t want our people, our teenagers, influenced by their performance. We want clean artists, artists that are good role models.”

Now I don’t think there’s anything sexy about this girl at all, but I’ve never seen one of her concerts, and maybe she’s got a good choreographer? Anyway, you kind of have to wonder about her judgment in trying to tour there. Malaysia’s rules for foreign performers are very strict, and performers such as Christina Aguilera and Beyonce just don’t even try to get approved. Gwen Stefani tried, and said it was a “sacrifice” to change her costumes to meet Malaysian regulations. The Pussycat Dolls were stupid enough to go there, and they were fined $2,800 - which is nothing for them - but I wonder what kind of statement they, and Avril, are trying to make by doing a show where they’re just going to make people mad.

Avril’s folks, by the way, say there’s no inappropriate content in her show.

Avril Lavigne Cancelled Concert & Apology

Avril Lavigne recently cancelled a concert in San Diego, California due to laryngitis. The show was on Wednesday and Avril called in sick on short notice, which left her fans devastated and angry because some of them had already made a long journey to see her.

She [Avril Lavigne] has now issued a statement on her website, apologizing to fans for the scrapped gig.

She says, “I am at home right now taking it easy. I have been sick this whole tour, and now I have lost my voice. I have never canceled a show in my whole career and just had to for the first time ever. This sux (sic)!

” I just played 4 shows in a row in Texas (which is a lot for the vocals) and woke up in Vegas Tuesday with no voice. I thought I was gonna have to cancel that show, but I made it through…barely! I woke up yesterday and knew I wouldn’t be able to sing last night. My voice is so shot.

“I’m at home resting my voice for 2 days and hope to be back out soon. Thank you for understanding. And once again, I sincerely apologize.”

The Best Damn Tour was expected to be a success but it had some problems with poor ticket sales and I wonder if this is some way for Avril to cut her tour short.

Anyway we hope Avril is getting her rest and she can make a fast comeback to the stages.

Avril Lavigne is showing her inner sex kitten in March’s Issue of Maxim. It hits newstands on Feb 19.

What can we expect from your upcoming world tour?
I’m so excited because with three records under my belt, I have a lot of singles that people are familiar with. This will be a much bigger production than anything I’ve ever done. The color for this album is pink, so I’ll be playing a pink piano, and there’s a pink drum kit and a bunch of dancers. It’s gonna rock.

In your last interview with Maxim, you were all about clubbing and doing Jäger shots. Is that still a typical night out?
I enjoy partying, sure. But I’m really enjoying wine now. I signed up to be on this wine list where they send you stuff that isn´t sold in stores. I´m a wino now. Last night we drank some Opus One.

It just is not going to end until every last one of them is pregnant, is it?

Avril Lavigne is the latest to get knocked up, says Just Jared. I wonder if it’s Perez Hilton’s baby?

Avril Lavigne is pregnant, according to radio host Zack Taylor.

The 23-year-old Canadian pop rock princess is reportedly 1.5 months pregnant, which means Avril’s expecting her baby in August.

This would be Ms. Lavigne’s and Sum 41 husband Deryck Whibley’s first child together. The couple celebrate their second wedding anniversary in July.

With all these pregnant celebs, they’re going to run out of weirdo pretentious baby names! They’re going to be naming their kids after the first thing they see. “Applesauce Catheter Lavigne-Whibley”, anyone?

UPDATE: Are they, or aren’t they?! Crabbie’s Hollywood is reporting that no, Avril is NOT pregnant, and it was all just a practical joke.

Some jerk-ass Canadian radio host thought it would be hysterical to spread the rumor that Avril Lavigne is pregnant by her stupid husband Deryck Whibley (wasn’t he a drummer in Spinal Tap?). Thankfully, Avril’s reps have come out and said the whole thing isn’t true.

Let’s face it…pregnant women are the most insufferable people on the face of the earth (next to gay gossip bloggers). And we know how intolerable Avril already is. So could you imagine her knocked up? Yeegads…

Whoo! There were some uglies at this year’s AMAs, weren’t there?! Here is a look at some of the most awesomely bad getups.

Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood may have been the big winner, but her outfit is a BIG LOSER!! Where to begin….

First of all, her dress looks like it was made out of cotton balls. Not only that, but they seem to have run out of cotton balls before they got to the bottom of the dress, so they just left it like that. Lastly, are those snakes on her shoes? WHY?!

Beyonce

Beyonce, pulling a New York with her boobs looking like they’re about to pop out at any minute. (Rolls Eyes) The blue bra or lining or whatever it is looks tacky, the color’s worn out, and the tail takes the idea of a mermaid dress and cheapens it by making it so tight and then so flared at the bottom. It looks like someone put a dust ruffle at the bottom of her! Is she a bed, now?

Avril Lavigne arrived at the AMAs with her usual pink hair streak, black eyeliner, and some Reynold’s Wrap.

Nicole Scherzinger’s makeup looked pretty, but her hair looks awful (rooster pony? SO three years ago!), and her dress looks like someone took a bunch of T-Shirts and glued them together.
