Watch This Video: Beyonce’s ‘Best Thing I Never Had’

It’s a good week for Beyonce:  her latest album, 4, is at the top of the Billboard charts for the second week in a row, and her new video “Best Thing I Never Had” is racking up the views on YouTube (9 million as of today).   The song is classic Beyonce kick-him-to-the-curb pop power – think “Irreplaceable.”

In the video, Beyonce is joyfully getting married to Mr. Right, while flashing back to a past relationship with Mr. Wrong.

Those who lament the fact that Beyonce and husband Jay-Z never released any photos from their 2008 wedding might particularly enjoy this video.  Although I doubt she wore such a massive (massive!!) gown for the event, held in the couple’s Manhattan apartment, at least we get a sense of Beyonce as a pretend bride.

Check it out after the jump.

Beyonce Takes The (Bright) Stage For GMA Summer Concert Series

Bringing the girl power to Central Park, Beyonce performed on Good Morning America today in the GMA Summer Concert Series.

Bootylicious as ever, Bey brought the bright in a yellow crochet mini-dress from Julien MacDonald. The fringe trim on her frock shimmied and shook with the 29 year-old as she danced and strutted her awesomeness on stage.

She also changed into an identical black one mid way through her set. Both were pretty revealing with their web of open-work design but B has the amazing body to pull it off.

Interviewer Robin Roberts asked about her choice of super high heeled footwear for a performance and if they bother or hurt her feet.

“Oh my God, sometimes my feet are numb, sometimes they bleed…it’s just like a ballet dancer,” Beyonce said. “Usually I’m so focused on the stage and my connection with the audience that I don’t feel my feet until I get home.”

The 29 year-old sang her hits “Run The World (Girls)” and “Single Ladies” as well as “Best Thing I Never Had.”

Beyonce Is Dropping Hints It’s Baby Time For Her And Jay-Z

With her 30th birthday approaching in September, Beyonce Knowles thinks this is the perfect time for her to start a family with her husband Jay-Z.

“I feel like a woman. I feel like I’m very aware of who I am” Beyonce told CNN‘s Piers Morgan. “I feel great and I feel like 30 is the ideal age [to start a family], because you’re mature enough to know who you are and to have your boundaries and your standards, and not be afraid, too polite — but you’re young enough to be a young woman,” she explained. “I’m so looking forward to it.”

“I always said I would have a baby at 30,” she went on to explain.”But, I also said I was going to retire at 30.”

And Jay-Z seems to have been on board with the idea for quite some time telling reporters in 2008 that he is looking forward to having his own children.

“Most people dream of having a family someday,” he told reporters. “So I’m just a regular American boy.”

I can’t imagine she’ll really retire but it really could be the perfect time to for the couple to have a baby.

Beyonce Closes Out The 2011 Glastonbury Festival (PHOTOS & VIDEO)

Beyonce was the Queen of the 2011 Glastonbury Festival on Sunday as she closed out the annual music event in pretty spectacular fashion.

She opened her 90 minute set with fireworks and a short Alexandre Vauthier gold sequin-sparkle mini (and I mean mini!) dress/coat with black bodysuit underneath.

Bey was the first solo female act to headline in twenty years and she took every opportunity to wow the crowd. She started off with “Crazy In Love“, saying to fans: “I want y’all to know that right now, you’re witnessing my dream.”

Beyonce brought out one of her biggest hits next with “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” and then did “Baby Boy” with guest Tricky helping her out.

Among the other songs she performed a mash-up of “If I Were A Boy” with Alanis Morrisette’s “You Oughta Know,” “Irreplacable,” a medley of hits from her Destiny’s Child days, Kings of Leon’s “Sex On Fire” and “Run The World (Girls)” from her new album 4.

Is Beyonce’s New Album A Dud?

It’s been nearly 3 years since Beyonce‘s last album (I Am… Sasha Fierce), and while her true fans might be eagerly awaiting her new album, 4, her record company is reportedly not nearly as excited.  They’re worried it’s not going to generate the kind of sales they expect from Mrs. Jay-Z.   Sources say that Columbia Records is

“very nervous about Beyonce’s new record.  It doesn’t have the hit songs that her fans are used to…They asked her to make changes, but she said no.”

Evidently Columbia asked Beyonce to return to the studio to re-record certain tracks, but she wouldn’t do it, preferring to leave the songs as they were.  And now we will see the wisdom of not having Daddy as your manager anymore.

Her current single, “Best Thing I Never Had,” is only at #75 on the Billboard charts – not terribly impressive.  Time will tell how 4ultimately does after it drops on June 28th.

The photo shoot, helmed by Sharif Hamza, puts the pop star in the trailer park wearing Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs and Gareth Pugh frocks among other designers.

The songstress’ new album, 4, due out June 28th, has produced one fashionable video visual already.

“Run The World (Girls)” video debuted last month and Knowles pranced and danced in some of the fashion world’s highest art, and this spread for Dazed continues her fashion reign. See the photos here.
