New Black Eyed Peas!!!

blackeyedpeasboomboompow

One of the most anticipated albums (at least for me) this year, is from the Black Eyed Peas – so you can imagine I was excited as hell to stumble across their new single “Boom Boom Pow” this weekend (it killed in the clubs!).

Fergie inevitably explores the charms of the vocoder (ala Lil’ Wayne, T-Pain, Kanye, etc. etc. etc.), and, well, if you don’t bounce in your seat to this, check your pulse (or your coffee cup depending on which time of the day you’re reading this).

SAY WORD?: will.i.am on New BEP Album

“I’m trying to break away from the concept of an album. What is an album when you put 12 songs on iTunes and people can pick at it like scabs? That’s not an album. There is no album anymore.”

- The Black Eyed Peas front man will.i.am to Billboard discussing the group’s new album The END (Energy Never Dies) – a project involving an online community, uploaded tracks, blogs, continuing over the course of the album’s duration – got that? Yeah, me either.

Black Eyed Peas Finishing New Album

Any Black Eyed Peas fans in the house? If you’re like me, sometimes you feel refreshed by positive, ass-shaking hip hop every once in awhile. Why so serious, right? Anyways, will.i.am and the crew are putting the finishing touches on their newest album The E.N.D. (stands for the energy never dies) as early as this week!

Indicating a serious ability to roll with the times, will says, “You should make songs for where songs are actually being listened and played. We have new people software programmers. They are just as important as me, apl.de.ap, Taboo and Fergie.”

Sounds fly. Between Britney, Beyonce, Kanye West, 50, and now the BEP, this Christmas music-shopping season is gonna be straight bonkers.
