Brad Pitt Rescues An Extra On ‘World War Z’

Brad Pitt came to the rescue of an extra who fell while filming World War Z on August 25th.

The woman was among the hundreds of extras filming a chaotic war scene when she stumbled and was headed for the ground. The scene was so crazy, if she had fallen, it was possible she could’ve been trampled in the confusion.

The 47 year-old actor’s quick thinking kept the woman from ending up with more than a scraped up knee.

“It was total chaos as 700 extras were trying to get down the street – they were banging into moving cars, cameras and military who were carrying heavy machine guns,” a set source told The Scottish Sun. “Lots of people hurt themselves, and Brad came to the rescue of a woman who slipped.”

“I don’t think she could believe it when Brad picked her up. He didn’t have time to speak to her as it was mid-shoot,” the insider continued. “But she said afterward how grateful she was, despite having a badly-grazed knee.”

Brad Pitt is ‘The Gray Man’

Brad Pitt is set to star in the upcoming action movie The Gray Man.

Brad Pitt will star in the New Regency action movie The Gray Man. James Gray was set in January to direct the film, an adaptation of Mark Greaney’s thriller novel…

…Targeted by a powerful multinational corporation, a former CIA operative-turned-ultimate assassin must fight his way across Europe and past special forces teams from around the world in order to save the life of his handler and the handler’s family.

Sounds to me like a great fit, Pitt should take advantage of being able to pull off action roles while he’s still young. I’ve never read the novel, but it sounds like a compelling story. I’m hoping there is more to the movie than simply action, Brad Pitt is capable of great dramatic emotion. Hopefully there is a good balance in this one.

Angelina Jolie Takes Shiloh & Zahara Toy Shopping (PHOTOS)

Angelina Jolie took her two oldest daughters, Zahara and Shiloh, out for a quick toy stop in London yesterday afternoon.

The 36 year-old actress brought the girls to The Toy Station in the Richmond area of London where the Jolie-Pitt family is residing while Brad Pitt films the zombie flick World War Z.

Shop owner Karen Khatachik said the family brought a number of items including toys and play kits for their siblings Maddox, Pax, Vivienne and Knox.

“They liked the stickers and the Play-Doh and they were saying, ‘Mom, look at this — it’s really cool!’ ” told OK magazine. “She was asking them if the other children who weren’t with her would like different things she had chosen. She showed them craft-making sets and asked, ‘Would they like that?’”

“They bought make-your-own soaps, make-your-own bracelets and Scratch Art,” Karen said. “It’s a blackboard and it’s done in a design with a gold foil underneath and you scratch it off and the image appears.”

The store was closed to other customers at the time so they could browse privately.

The family will be on the move again as Pitt’s film goes to Glasgow to film.

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Get In Family Time At A Water Park

It was a chance for everyone to have some fun and get some family time in for the international Jolie-Pitt clan.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt took their children to a water park in Malta for swimming, sunshine and animal encounters at the Mediterraneo Bio Park.

All six kids, Maddox, 9, Pax, 7, Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5, and 3 year-old twins Vivienne and Knox joined mom and dad in the pool where, according to the website, families can better “understand more about the marine life and its inhabitants through edutainment.”

Jolie, 36, wore a wet suit for the afternoon in the water with Brad, kids and dolphins and the family hit the gift shop afterwards.

The Jolie-Pitts are in Malta as Brad, 47, finishes up filming on the zombie flick World War Z.

First ‘Moneyball’ Trailer Starring Brad Pitt

Here’s the first trailer for the upcoming movie Moneyball starring Brad Pitt.

This movie actually looks pretty good, It’s really not at all what I was expecting. I’m automatically at least a little interested because it’s about the Oakland A’s which is a family favorite team, but this actually looks like a great story. It’ll be interesting to see Jonah Hill do a serious role for once.

Matthew Fox and Ed Harris Joining Brad Pitt in ‘World War Z’

Lost star Matthew Fox and Ed Harris are in talks to join Brad Pitt in World War Z.

Matthew Fox and Ed Harris are in talks to join Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos and James Badge Dale in the Marc Forster-directed World War Z…

…The film is an adaptation of the Max Brooks novel that looks back on a global zombie infestation 10 years after the fact.

It’s certainly not your average zombie movie, the cast is shaping up to be really good. I’m glad to see Matthew Fox working again after his post-Lost time off. I’m also glad to see Ed Harris back in action, he’s done projects, but none on this scale for quite some time. The movie starts shooting this month for release in the summer of 2012.

Brad Pitt Narrating ‘Voyage of Time’

Brad Pitt is set to narrate the upcoming IMAX Documentary film Voyage of Time from director Terrence Malick.

The LA Times spoke to the producer, and among other things he confirmed that Brad Pitt will indeed narrate Voyage of Time as rumored two years ago. He explained that the film was back-burnered as they didn’t want to ‘cannibalize’ The Tree of Life, but that, as mentioned yesterday, Terrence Malick still very much wants to do the film.

Additionally, the LAT got hold of documentation for the film that is illustrated with “images of jellyfish, crocodile embryo, nebular clouds, a slot canyon in Utah and Jupiter’s moon Ganymede” and which says the film will cover “the whole of time, from the birth of the universe to its final collapse.” As we’ve suspected since seeing The Tree of Life, the film sounds like a great expansion of the ‘cosmic’ sequences in that movie. The document for the film also promises subject matter including “the first signs of life, bacteria, cellular pioneers, first love, consciousness, the ascent of humanity, life and death and the end of the universe.”

Not too surprising since they just finished working together on The Tree of Life. Pitt definitely has a great voice for narration, very soothing. I haven’t seen The Tree of Life yet, but obviously Malick is on a roll here with the whole life, death and existence thing. Whenever movies like this come along I get a little stand-offish. I’m hoping neither of them are preachy, that’s not a trait I like in movies.

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt At ‘Kung Fu Panda 2′ Premiere (PHOTOS)

Brad Pitt stepped out with his partner and love Angelina Jolie to the premiere of her flick, Kung Fu Panda 2 in Los Angeles at Grauman’s Chinese Theater.

Jolie, was stunning (naturally!) in an all black ensemble from Michael Kors: short-sleeved satin shirt and calf-length skirt with a thigh high slice to highlight her gorgeous gams.

Pitt chose a caramel-colored light cashmere sweater with matching pants to compliment Jolie’s red carpet look.

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt ‘Tree Of Life’ Cannes Premiere

The French Riviera got a dose of Hollywood pandemonium when Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt glided down the red carpet for the premiere of his new film Tree of Life at the 2011 Cannes International Film Festival.

Jolie selected a strapless dress in a deep, rich shade of chocolate silk with draping at the waist and thigh-high slit from Atelier Versace. Her choices have been more sleek, streamlined in shape and covered up lately, so this fuller silhouette is a lovely change. The 35 year-old actress looked amazing!

Pitt kept his hair slicked back and chose a Tom Ford tuxedo for the film premiere.

The 47 year-old actor said every role he takes, he keeps his kids in mind and the fact that one day, they will see his work.

“I think about everything I do now my kids are going to see when they grow up and how are they going to feel but they know me as a dad and I hope they’ll just think of me as a pretty, damn-good actor,” Pitt told reporters.

Brad Pitt & Jessica Chastain ‘Tree Of Life’ Photo Call In Cannes

Brad Pitt and Jessica Chastain spent the morning by the sea at the 2011 Cannes International Film Festival photo call for their new film Tree of Life.

The Terence Malick film has been eagerly anticipated for a long while and the 2000+ seat theater was jam-packed with people eager to see the finished movie.

The film reportedly was booed by some and others followed that with applause to counter the negativity. The notoriously shy Malick did not attend the press junket afterward, but Pitt did and had praise for the director and the work.

“He tells this micro story of this family in a small town in Texas and juxtaposes it with the macro of the birth of the cosmos and cells splitting,” he said. “I find that so extraordinary. There are parallel truths in that.”

“He’s like a guy with a butterfly net waiting for the truth to go by,” Pitt said.

I don’t care how many boos it gets, I can’t wait to check it out. I love the idea of this film.

Tree of Life opens May 26th.
